Absolutely do not go here. My two kids were sick 10/22 and I took them both to this location. Both kids have the same two insurances. My daughters claim was processed fine, no issues. My sons claim was sent to the two insurances. First insurance processed the claim and didnt pay anything because it went towards the deductible. AFC NEVER sent an amended claim to the secondary insurance to show primary insurance had processed and not paid. Instead, they kept resubmitting the initial claim over and over to the secondary. I have been on the phone SO many times with AFC billing and both insurances, explained myself AND has an insurance rep conferenced in to explain to billing what they needed, and it was still sent to a law firm for collections. I have talked with this law firm on multiple occasions explaining the situation, and was told as of today, nothing matters that AFC made an error, I am responsible for $264. Apparently AFC can do anything they want and no matter how you try to get them rectify it, you will be screwed in the end. And they have no intention on making it right.
I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated today. I have been battling an extreme migraine. I made sure to check in online to save time and hopefully get me back faster. However, I knew that I was going to an urgent care so I wasn’t expecting to go straight back. Clockwise said I was #2 in line. After sitting fora while and seeing a couple of people go back I simply asked my position in line. To my defense I was sobbing like a baby and shaking in pain. She told me that I had 3 people ahead of me, and that there was only one M.A. in the back and shut the window. Again, I sat and watched person after person go back. When I asked the girl behind the desk why I hadn’t gone back yet she told me that those were drug screens being taken back. I understand having totake care of drug screens before their order times expire. As much pain as I was visibly in someone could have pulled me back..gotten my vitals ..and given me some meds. Then, went back to the drug screens. When I asked the girl at the front if she even told the people in the back that they had someone sick in the front..her response was…she had been busy..she hadn’t had time. I’ve worked in healthcare my whole adult life. I would never treat a patient how she treated me today. There was absolutely no excuse. I saw a Lack of empathy, compassion, and communication skills in a matter of an hour. I believe that if the girl at check in would have walked to the back and let them know that there was someone in the waiting room crying saying that she was having excruciating headaches/nausea. Maybe just maybe they would have pulled me back before I finally decided to leave. Just think what could have happened if the migraine wasn’t really a migraine but something much worse😌. Don’t usually judge because I’ve been there. Never worked for AFC but I’ve worked at an urgent care…and I’m aware it isn’t easy. Hopefully this was an off day for your location. I personally will not be back!
If you’re going here, clear your calendar, because it will take all day. Went in for a simple school sports physical for my daughter, and we waited in the waiting room for an hour until we finally got moved to another room. I assume they were planning on letting us sit there for another hour. There were only three people in the entire place. Not sure what they plan to do if they ever actually get busy. I stepped out of the room to let them know that we were leaving because we had other things to do today and everybody was just sitting on their phones. They didn’t seem to care at all that we were leaving. I would find another place to go to if I were you. Terrible attitudes and terrible customer service. If they could close this place down, that would be the best thing that could happen to it. If I owned a bulldozer, I’d knock it down myself. Awful experience.
We have known Keri Rexroad for a very long time and she is the best NP out there! She is very good at her job and not only that but she is too sweet and really cares about her patients! We cannot recommend her enough! - Claudia Avram and Family
Everyone was great and professional 👏.Got me in and out. Best Urgent care experience Ive ever had Congratulations you all have a customer for life.
Before today I have never had a probably with this place.. my kids have been seen there many times.. today when I got my boys check out they ended up having COVID. The woman I dont remember her name but she was taking with us about the flu and how the medicine of the flu effect kids and she looked at my oldest son and said imagine how that would effect him to my son with autism.. and autism is in his paper work.. she labeled my son and it was very rude and disrespectful I will never come back here again.. this is why children with issues or disability struggle because they dont fit into the worlds little box the way people are supposed to be
This is what I wrote as a review back to the immediate care facility (AFC in Duncan, South Carolina) I visited today.Thank you for your service and providing friendly, caring and thorough care. I was treated with respect and kindness from the front desk (both ladies) to all the medical staff (MA, Student assistance, and PA, Keri Rexroad). I appreciated being treated as a person and not a Number!!! I will highly recommend your facility in Google and the Nextdoor app.The only drawback/complaint I have is the long waiting time (2+ hours) before being diagnosed and treated. Maybe adding another medical staff member would help!!Appreciate you all and I will be back if your service is needed again.
I signed in online and when I arrived the virtual wait room said I was next. I sat there and 5 other people were called before me. I asked the front desk and she said “ oh yea, we don’t go by that!” What?! Then why would I sign in and why would there be a virtual wait room!! She said they were supposed to fix that. Well they haven’t, so it should be honored! Ridiculous! I would have went somewhere else!
Front desk receiption would not allow me to drug screen for a Quest collection as this location was convenient for me. Had to travel 25mins away just to do this test after being rejected away from this particular AFC. The lady at the front desk didnt care that her particular AFC location was coming up as a closer option for me on the Quest website. Quest should mention something to AFC about this or not have them to come up as an option.Update: After my 3rd trip back into the facility (same day) to inquire about the drug screen, a nurse actually gave me feedback as to the real reason as to why that location wasnt showing up as an option. It was revealed that the style of test wasnt available at the location. The reception had no idea, but one of your nurses knew. This was no fault of the staff or clerical errors. Ill go back to Quest to request more testing detail being displayed with the location choices on future drug screens for folks. One star rating retracted.
Great staff the nurses are amazing and the experience getting my CDL physical treatment was like royalty paying attention to everything and yet detailed to my diverse needs. I am completely satisfied with the way that they expedite me from start to finish completely and with certification.
Told my child they had a lot of bacteria in their urine, prescribed medication, called child back and told her cuz they can’t speak to me since she’s over 16 that what they told her was wrong and culture came back with no issues. Wth last time going back.
There are a few things in life that are just annoying and a D.O.T physical is one. But if you have to get one I recommend AFC Urgent Care. The staff is efficient and friendly. And a special mention to Keri Rexroad (Advanced Practice Nurse) for her thorough and expeditious examination.
This one is nice it gives you wait time and everything in the lobby. Just first name and last initial. Good to bring kids because there is a large screen TV in the living room playing Cartoons. They also allow channel switching. They have physical therapy available. Next to the clinic is a pharmacy. So basically its a one stop health Care center all in one. Great concept.
Already complete half of the visit at another time. 2 hours and still never the saw doctor. Eyes checked, motor skills checked and sat the rest of time. Was not busy. I dont recommend
I was put in a room and waited for 45 minutes for the NP to come in. The NP (Donna) shushed me, put her finger in my face and told me that she was talking when I was attempting to tell her my medical history that was relevant to why I was in there. She would not let me speak & wouldn’t listen to me. I cried in the room while waiting for a strep test I didn’t want because she was so rude to me. Do not go here.
My daughter took both her children in today ages 5 and 7 and they were tested positive for CovidThe assistant tech that assisted the children labeled my oldest grandson and was talking about side effects are hallucinations and said to my daughter “ imagine him being autistic having hallucinationsVery unprofessional, very rude to label a child and make comments like that about anyone no matter if you have autism should not be treated or labeled I may just contact my attorney in the morning after talking to the office manager
Ally was super friendly and polite. The wait was a bit long because a lot of people were visiting, but once I saw Ally, the rest was a breeze. It looks like one of the ladies at the front desk has to compensate for the other lady’s lack of customer service. The girl on the left did an awesome job signing me in and was very professional and welcoming, despite being busy with her work load. The other lady on the right looked like she didn’t want to be bothered. She stood up and left without a hello, thank you for visiting us, or someone will be with you in a moment.I suppose every establishment has someone like this. Which is a bummer for everyone else who does their job. This place gets a 4.5 star from me because Ally was so awesome.
Staff was great . Especially me being a Tennessee long way from home they treated me with respect and like someone 💯 Yall ladys done awesome. The world needs more workers like yall . Thank you !!!!
Hello im sorry i cant agree with the good reviews my experience wasnt good. I went in there for tooth pain, infection in tooth denist cant see me for 3 weeks. They were short staffed firstly which i was ok with that. But the dr tried to tell me i wasnt hurting that my tooth didnt look like the problem. So instead of prescribing moxacillin she prescribed penicillin and some other form of pain killer that dont work because they cant prescribe narcs. But ibphronin not a narc, ok. While these meds are in the same family penicillin is hardly ever prescribed for tooth infection. Im still in pain the antibotic when prescribed for tooth always kicks in 2 to three days. I work in health care so ive had my dealings with pep who dont do the right thing or under pressure so your care is rushed. This is a time i experienced this. Back to the dr i have to go cause i cant deal with this pain three weeks. More money on pain meds and tempory care because i wasnt treated properly. Please fix this cause i will be finding away to take my complaint farther
After waiting almost 3 hours, I am very disappointed with the service provided. Took my son there because he had fever. They took oxygen levels and temperature. Donna Johnson (a rude lady) only checked his breading looking at his belly. No stethoscope used to check his lungs. I asked her to please check his ears and throat, to ensure he does not have an infection. No, I was told that I need to take him to the ER. They told me they are going to perform a full evaluation on him at the ER because this was an emergency (even when I knew it was not). I insisted but they never proceed to check his ears nor throat. I just wanted to make sure he has no infection. Then, I asked for a general report on what has been done on my son so I can have it for my records, and the assistant told me that they are not going to provide me any report of my visit. Immediately she asked me to leave or she might need to call someone else to take me out of the facilities. At the end, I took him to the ER (Prisma, the one Donna recommended me) and they was wondering why the nurse at the urgent care couldn’t check his ears for an infection and the doctor was surprised why she sent me to ER when my son was not in an emergency status or condition. I had two kids and never had a situation like this before.
We were unable to get to our regular pediatrician and the staff were absolutely amazing with our son. Thank you so much Doctor Donna Johnson and Geri! So friendly, sweet and caring. Made this sick visit as smooth as possible and our son loves them!
The staff were friendly and I was in and out quickly. This was the best wiz quiz I’ve ever take.
Every visit has been extremely long wait times. Also if you “hold your spot” on line ahead of time online they make clear when you get there it doesn’t actually hold your spot its false advertising so there is no actual point to it. If your time is valuable avoid this place and go anywhere else trust me! Revision the price tag is over 579.00 bill just to check for an ear infection and a cough Also the meds they prescribed been out for weeks and when you call to talk to staff you just end up getting hung up on no operator available. This is the last place you want to go if you have needs or are sick not feeling well you will end up having to go somewhere else and just pay again or drive back in person again. And for the comment below ….if you really wanted to know about my experience you have my contact info but you have made zero attempts to contact me. Your concerned message seems to be an auto generated response.
Dr. Donna has been an absolute God send to me and my children. I dont live in the area but I travel to this urgent care because of her. I have been so sick for the last month and both times Ive seen driven to Duncan to see her. When no one else listened.. she did. She truly listens when I am talking and she takes her time explaining things to me. My son had a cough that lingered for over 2 months and she was the only one out of 2 other urgent cares and our pediatrician to treat him properly with the right medications!!! We absolutely love her and will continue to go to afc as long as she is there.
I have many dealings with this Urgent Care, dozens of Workers Comp visits and drug screens, Covid tests and regular medical needs. If you’re in the greatest hurry and time is the only thing you value then maybe this isn’t the best choice for you. The NP’s that work this UC truely spend time with thier patients and care, Donna Johnson especially. She is old school and listens too her patients and has always given me the honest truth and proper care. Hope this helps.
The ladies at the front desk are wonderful! Mallorie made sure my paperwork was completed and informed of how long the wait would be. I was greeted by friendly smiling faces! I was able to get in and out in no time!
Short wait time, excellent staff and cannot say enough good things about Donna Johnson. I would recommend Donna and this facility to anyone needing urgent care.
The office was not busy when arrived at 7:15pm. The receptionist was very pleasant and the waiting area was extremely clean and smelled amazing. We waited maybe 1 min and the nurse called us to the back. She listened to what was going on with my teenage son and was very professional. Once in the back, the nurse practitioner came in and examined my son. Very nice and professional well kept young man. The doctor then came in and was very nice and prompt about the medication and sending the script to the appropriate pharmacy. All paperwork and being seen from front to back, we were in and out in 20 minutes. Overall very pleased with our visit at AFC in DUNCAN
I had to get test done for a driver position with us express today and Mallorie was the lady who conducted my drug screen and my experience with her was a welcoming feeling. She was kind, patient and explained exactly what I was to do which made the process easy and quick.
Sitting for 3 hours for a company drug test. I advise to go somewhere else. This is unacceptable as an urgent care facility. How about hiring some more people. Almost 4 hours, still here. Taking patients out of order for the same test. Think new management should be discussed. So disgusted.
I go to take a drug test and the lady says we cant do it because there are no males here.. What does that have to do with anything and especially since a lady has done my drug test before...Ill be going Monday and I expect to easily take my drug test and leave, shouldnt be this difficult. Do better
Nurse Destiny and Dr. Johnson were very kind and attentive - I’m grateful for their help! The wait time was about what you would expect for an urgent care. Overall great experience!
This place is horrible! My son cut his finger at work. His employer sent him there for worker compensation. We waited over 2 hours to be told by the nurse practitioner, all she could do for him is use glue on his deep finger laceration. Which clearly needed several sutures. What kind of urgent care facility can’t do sutures. If you can go somewhere else . I advise you go elsewhere. This place shouldn’t be considered an urgent care facility. It’s horrible!
(IF YOU HAVE ALL DAY ) THIS IS THE PLACE.) My fiance and I came here when the children were in school for him to get a dot physical. I couldnt go in the back due to he had to take a drug test but when he was done. They were having technical difficulties with their computer system. So he was waiting around for the physical I asked the 2 secataries at the front desk can I go back there with my fiancé. She went in the back to ask Donna can I come in back Donna told them to tell me no when we been there for about 4 or 5 hours sitting around because of their system not working. It is now 7:30pm and hes fianally done. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone very unprofessional and dramatic and ghetto!!!
Made an appt and walked in to be seen almost immediately. Probably the quickest urgent care visit I have ever had! The waiting area and patient rooms were both clean and I felt comfortable. All the staff was welcoming and caring as I described my symptoms and concerns. Will definitely come back with any future urgent care needs!
Yes, the nurse that took my blood pressure and did my eye exam was absolutely excellent. She was very pleasant and welcoming. My nurse practitioner was also very warm, personable and funny. I really enjoyed this process, which many times can be very taxing.
Staff is nice. But what is the point in having an appointment where they ASK you to show up 10 mins early, and still end up waiting 30 minutes. Now had I showed up 30 mins after my reserved time, I would have been turned around. Make it make sense please!
I’ve been dealing with head congestion, headaches, runny nose for some time. I finally decided to get seen on 11/27/2023 and I saw Keri. She was awesome. She asked questions and listened showed concern!! Thanks for caring!!
After service these people send checks multiple times without any reason which is all cheating.
Canned response below with no name or contact so that I can share details. They left the room to my room open and just overheard the doctor blow up at the nurse who told her I was ready and have been waiting for over two hours,ILL GET TO HIM WHEN I GET TO HIM. Horrid wait times. At least be honest and upfront about it when asked. Instead the original 30 minutes has grown to over an hour and Im just here for a drug test
Ive been to this urgent care several times with my children. It has gone downhill drastically since they opened. Our pediatrician was closed today (Sunday) and 3 of them woke up sick so we went here. The man who did our check-in and vitals didnt weigh my children and had me give estimates of their heights and weights. The paper on the table was still wrinkled from the last person who was in the room so nothing was cleaned between patients. One of my children needed an antibiotic so I had to request for him to be weighed so that the appropriate dose could be given, although, I still think the dose on the prescription is wrong. The workers however were all friendly.*I felt that I needed to UPDATE that the dosage for the prescription was in fact incorrect. Thankfully the dosage was less than needed and not too much so my child is fine. Its still extremely concerning that the individual who is prescribing meds isnt doing it correctly. This will be our last time as patients here.*
Took me 2hrs here just to get a drug test done. Idk what they are doing here, but fast isnt something they are doing. Worst experience ever!
AFC urgent care is GREAT. The staff and the NP try their best despite wait times, which understandably is apart of urgent care. I was seen here for an issue with my back and was promptly examined and given antibiotics that got me back and running in no time. Thank you NP Johnson!!!
Been waiting for over 2 hours now for a simple drug screen. This place is a nightmare. TV broke,Its very hot and everyone is complaning.. and the women at the desk are just laughing joking, having a good ol time. One has been very rude to a couple people. This whole place needs an intervention! And dont respond back saying we are sorry for your experience blah blah blah just DO BETTER!!!!
Ally was a joy and extremely helpful. She answered all my questions and was super professional. Made the experience easy and quick. If I need to visit again, I’ll definitely be requesting her again.
Let me preface my review by saying this is in reference to a visit last summer but a recent phone call on AFC’s behalf prompted this review. We wanted to get our son tested for strep as he complained of a sore throat and had a history of getting strep. Another reason for testing was to know if it was just a virus and we needed to wait it out. We signed up for an appointment near the end of the day. When we were there they didn’t want to run a strep test and instead just sent in a prescription to cover it just in case. They let us out the back door and walked us around since the front was already closed. When I got the prescription I didn’t recognize it so we called our pediatrician 24 hr line just to be safe. They told us to not give him that and to bring him in the morning. I have no clue why they said don’t give it to him but I know the pharmacy wouldn’t have dispensed it if it was unsafe; it was perhaps not the most effective way to treat but I’m not a Dr so I don’t know. They tested him in the pediatrician’s office, it came back positive, and they gave him a different prescription. Needless to say we haven’t been back to AFC for our kids.I never received a bill and assumed that since they were in a rush to get us out that they were too in a rush to file with insurance as well, but last week I received a call from a collections agency wanting about $50 for this visit. When I pressed about me never receiving a bill, the agency admitted it was sent to an address we haven’t lived in for five years. AFC was obviously in too much of a rush to update my address on the forms I filled out. Collections did the usual threatening things like say it’ll hurt my credit, it’ll escalate to include $900 court costs, etc. (let me remind you this is all over a $50 bill I never received)If I could give zero stars I would as not only was the healthcare provided to my son inadequate but now I’ve had to deal with collections for a bill I never received because of AFC’s own doing. I hope the $50 was worth it for AFC.
Service was nice and professional. I was able to get in an out without issue — Ally in particular was extremely helpful. Will definitely be coming back to the Duncan urgent care in the future.
All of the people that work here go beyond what they are suppose to do to get you back to feeling better great staff and they actually care about helping people like doctors and nurses are suppose to thank you a million times over for your great service
I had and appointment on a Friday and was 2 minutes late, bc of that I was made to wait an hour for my TB test to be given which didnt even take 3 minutes! When I went back 2 days later to have it read I was in and out in less than 5. People make appointments for a reason and while I get being more than 10 minutes late is inconvenient and youll probably have to wait since you missed your appointment window I DO NOT think being punished for 2 minutes is reasonable at all. Ive used this facility before in the past for my kids and have even sent my husband for a few things. We always make an appointment and always arrive on time. Up until this weve never been made to wait to be seen longer than 20 minutes which was why we kept going back. The next time we try if it happens again we will choose somewhere closer to home. I dont like giving negative reviews but it was really frustrating and disappointing.Update. Sent my husband he had a scheduled appointment he made the day before for 3pm . He arrived 10 min early and wasnt put into a room until 4pm. They covid tested him and at 5pm he still had not been seen! 530 still nothing, finally at 6 hes seen! Another 30 min and some scripts later he gets to leave. Looks like understaffed or not appointments are not honored here. Everyone is entitled to medical care but if you are booking appointments its because you have many things to do with your time! Why have them if theyre not honored even if they need and extra 30 min to get to you most people understand that! 3.5 hr later?! Might as well have gone to the ER! This place needs a Dr and more nurses etc on staff. If they dont stay then this company needs to evaluate how they treat their employees. Theyve lost this family as clients.
By far one of the worst overall experiences Ive had. Medical assistant Donna was extremely Rude and actually hung up on me for trying to get my physical results. They did not post my results and delayed things with my employer. Extremely unprofessional. Go anywhere else but here. Donna should be fired.
My husband went to the ER a few days ago, for a cold which triggered an asthma attack. Today he was still having some trouble with his breathing, so I took him to AFC to see if he should have a nebulizer treatment. We saw Keri NP, and she was fantastic! She said his lungs sounded pretty bad. She not only prescribed a breathing treatment, but sent him home with his own nebulizer. Some of the meds he was prescribed in the ER were suppressing his cough, and letting the fluid accumulate in his upper chest. She prescribed medications to help get the junk up. Keri was very knowledgeable, and explained what was happening in an understandable way. He is finally starting to feel better tonight. The receptionist and nurse were also very nice. Thank you Keri NP. We appreciate you!
The wait is terrible. I had an actual appointment and its been over an hr and 20 min and Im still waiting and this happens everytime.Update 8/25/23 my boyfriend went today. Waited 2hrs No one else was waiting the 1st 20 min, over 2 hrs. People came and went. So he left. Then they call say they are ready for him but he said hes not coming back for good reason. Thats ridiculous. 2 hrs and people that came in after him were seen.
Great staff, very nice and compassionate. There was a bit of a wait but the FLU is also going around. So, considering that, it wasnt to bad. I also loved the fact that it was very clean. With all the germs that pass through, cleanliness is very important. I will definitely use AFC Urgent again in the future if needed. This is my new go to if my childrens Primary Care Doctor isnt available. Thank you for making a rough day with my son being sick, a little more bearable. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of medical care.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE... AVOID THIS LOCATION.I visited the Duncan location on Saturday July 1, 2023 for a cut/infection on my foot. Was seen by a student doctor who swabbed the cut and diagnosed me, then the nurse practitioner came in, glanced at my foot while the stood up (never truly examined the area). Prescribed an antibiotic and said the swab of my infection would be back in 5 days and they would call me then to go over the results and gave me info to be referred to a pediatrist. It was so bad, I ended up going to my family physician the following week for treatment (who sent me to wound care). I have been getting odd text from a pharmacy that I had a prescription ready since Sunday July 9th and FINALLY received a call from AFC today July 14, 2023 telling me the results of the swab and that they had called in a different prescription for me. When I asked why I was getting this call 14 days after my visit (9 days after my swab was to be back and 5 days after a random prescription was called in) I was told they had tried to call several times (FYI, This was the first and only call from AFC I have received). When I explained how irritated I was, the person I was speaking with said you are more than welcome to go on line and leave a review. Well, here it is.The only positive thing about this location was how easy it was to make the appointment on line.
Worst experience ever! Made an appointment online for 12:30pm. Arrived at 12:05pm. Still waiting to be seen at 2:30pm. The receptionists are rude. Ignore the people in the waiting room. Told me there were 3 people ahead of us and they called 6 more people. Still waiting….
While I understand there is always a wait and thats unavoidable I would prefer if there were more staff members like Allie. She kept me inform about my wait and made sure I was well taken care of.
Mallorie was extremely polite and patient, she thoroughly answered all of my questions and was truly a pleasure to deal with, she made the drug test process for me a little more comfortable
Absolutely horrible experience with my one year old. They were unable to weigh him, measure his height correctly, or take his BP due to all their children’s equipment being broken. They barely checked him and sent us home saying he had a cold. Went to pediatric urgent care a few hours later and turns out he has a severe ear infection requiring medication and irritation in his mouth and throat. At AFC they didn’t even bother to check his mouth.Absolutely disappointed in the care we received. If you have little ones, skip this place and go to someone else.
Of all of the AFC Urgent cares I’ve had to go to the last couple weeks, for my job requirements, this was by far the best! (Duncan location) Everyone was very professional, timely and efficient.
I was so nervous when I first arrived because I hate going to any kind of doctor’s office. However, Ally was so sweet upon me entering that I was able to relax. This place is great.
DONNA was the absolute worse person I have ever talked to over the phone!!!! She needs to be FIRED ASAP!!!! Extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL! Donna hung up on me over the phone multiple times! She denied me access to talk to a supervisor! Overall such a terrible experience! Please don’t come here, it’s not worth the stress!!!!
I always been on the fence about this urgent care. Booked an appointment for my son, I new he had an ear infection just needed a prescription. That was going be a quick visit. Received my confirmation email. They would be open from 10am - 8pm. They sent out text messages to keep me informed of my appointment and informed me they will be running behind and new times of my appointment. Didn’t receive any updates after the new time they sent me . Went in for my appointment at the time they gave me to tell they they cancelled my appointment and just did not reach out to inform me. She front desk staff stated she don’t know who did it and can’t give me a response of help me be seen. She stated they decided to close early because of the weather, that is understandable. If someone has appointment send out a message as they sent out plenty throughout the day to keep people inform of appointment times. The receptionist did not help and was very rude. Canceling patients appointment and closing an locking the door is unacceptable. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION !!
This was a horrible experience. The nurse practitioner discussed herself more than why I was there. My nose and ears were never examined. I ended up having to go to a different provider the next day who was able to actually give me a diagnosis. I do not recommend this place at all.
I’ve been multiple and each time they been great. I really want to shout out mallorie for being top notch of the staff will do go above and beyond for her patients.
The staff at AFC are all so nice. Ally, Mallorie, Keri, Donna, Ashley, Skye, Carla, Geri, Alaysha, Shante, Kacie, Angel...you all rock! Thanks for taking such good care of us!!
Went for a DOT physical and had a great experience. Donna, Geri and Ashley were very nice and professional. Would definitely recommend this location.
Went this morning and had a great experience. There were a lot of people in front of me when I got there, busy Monday morning, but I was still seen very quickly. Everyone was professional and kind. Will definitely go back
I set an appointment for a urine collection appointment, arrived on time and still waited over an hour. I noticed everyone who was there prior and even majority that arrived right after me were called back. After noticing this, I asked the front desk when was I going to be called back because it was almost an hour past my appointment time. They assured me I was first on the list. I even addressed my extreme discomfort for holding using the restroom for an extended period. I sit back down to be called another 20 plus minutes later alongside multiple others who arrived after me to conduct the test also. After being taken back, I STILL was not serviced first and the others even noticed and spoke up about it and the CNA said nothing and proceeded. No one apologized or even acknowledged the fact that I set an appointment, and was not even serviced in order of arrival. An hour and a half just to collect my sample. What was the point of setting an appointment? Based on this experience, I do not recommend going for services.
My experience was terrible. I visited for blood work and sinus frustration. After waiting hours to be seen, the looked in my ear and up my nose and prescribed me meds. Quick 10 minutes and I was told I can only request one issue so blood work was never done. I will never return
Went to urgent care with a fairly minor problem. Was told to go immediately to the emergency room. Tried to explain the situation and was still told that I needed to go to the emergency room immediately. Went to the ER and was told I was fine. Just got hit with a $3,000 bill from the ER, though. Horrible advice.
We came in with our 4.5mo old and started filling out paperwork. After 20min of being the only ones in the waiting room filling out tons of paperwork, my husband hands her the clipboard, and she says oh we dont treat anyone under 6mo. Like you couldnt have told us before we spent almost half an hour being the only ones in the waiting room and when we obviously have a baby with us?! Completely flabbergasted at how little this place cares. Complete waste of our time.
Do not go here unless your company has directed you to them! This place is only operating for DOT physicals and drug testing for corporations. Anything else, they can’t figure out how to do it. No one knows how to operate the X-ray machine on multiple visits. The only time they did they misdiagnosed a fracture, sending me to a specialist with the WRONG X-rays. They are just a “chop-shop” with traveling nurse practitioners with no professionalism.
I always have a pleasant experience at AFC Duncan. Friendly front desk staff and excellent patient care. Ally was especially helpful and answered all of my questions!
Ally was the ONLY employ that gave me any confidence in this institution. Whoever is in charge needs to ask Ally what to do because she has fantastic customer service and gave me confidence in your company’s ability to care for my partner
This is the second time in several months for a visit to urgent care. Both encounters met my expectations and both the Physician and Physician’s Assistant were pleasant and informative. I was treated and sent on my way with detailed instructions and a prescription. Definitely would return if necessary.
Wait time was ridiculously long. I had to ask the staff to turn down the heat because it was so hot in the lobby. It was making my sick kids and myself nauseous because it was so hot. However they kindly did turn on the air. But the wait time I was there for 2 and a half hours waiting to be seen.
This place likes to repeatedly tell you there’s nothing they can do after wasting 3 hours of your time. I’m never sick, have been sick for the past 4 days, same stuff that hasn’t gotten better. Wasted 3 hours of my time. Absolute horrible service, and just want your insurances money.
AFC has taken great care of my husband during his workers comp. injury. Donna is an excellent nurse practitioner. She is very thorough and has a good bedside manner.
The staff were friendly and professional. I didnt wait very long to be seen. I was a walk-in patient. Once being called back, I received the same courteous and professional service. The Doctor was thorough and friendly as well. All my services were professional and prompt. I was very pleased with them.I would recommend this Urgent Care to family and friends.
I don’t usually leave reviews but this place doesn’t do anything but basics. Was told once they weren’t even seeing sick people. But every time I have tried to go they don’t do whatever it is needed. Not sure why they’re there. Not sure why it’s called “urgent” care…..
Went during my lunch break for a covid test, waited an hour and 45 minutes, waiting room was empty when i got there, was not when i left and people without appointments got in before me when they showed up after. Went because someone tested positive at my work and you guys had a 15 minute covid test slot. Would not recommend, receptionist was very rude as well when I asked what the wait time was.
I was here with my wife for an appointment with one of the nurse practitioners in this clinic. Got a bad experience. Unwillingness to listen to the patient, self-importance, un-professionalism. They also was not take blood for analysis well. No expected results of the appointment we got and long wait time in the hallway to get into. Very disappointed.
Update - I got a “thanks for visiting” text the next morning despite never hearing from anyone so I called to make sure they weren’t going to charge me for a visit I never had and I was told that the manager would be calling me soon. No one ever called. I got a second text later in the day thanking me for visiting and asking for a review so I called again to make sure that I wasn’t getting charged and they said the manager deleted my appointment this morning. So again, that’s 5 calls I’ve made to this place having to follow up, and no one has ever called me once, despite being told every time that someone was calling me “soon”. I don’t know what happened to this place but I would discourage anyone from trusting it with your healthcare.I have visited here several times with a good experience and had recommended this place to others at one point, but the last couple times were disappointing and today was just awful. They require that you have a video appointment if you have Covid symptoms before you can go into the office, so I made one for 8:50am and then called at 11:30 to see why no one had called yet and they told me she was behind and would be calling soon. I called again at 5:30pm and was assured she would be calling me in just a minute. It’s 9:30pm and I never heard from anyone at all. If they were overwhelmed or their virtual appointment system wasn’t working, why not just ask me to come into the office or just tell me it would be better to go somewhere else? Now I’ve had care delayed for another day!! Super disappointed and annoyed at the fact that I had to be the one to call both times and no one ever called me like they said they would. Waste of time and energy and I will not recommend this place again.
It won’t let me leave zero stars or I would! I purposefully made an appointment in case we needed to come in to get swabbed before it closed for my VERY sick 6 year old. The appointment was at 335. I received an email that the television was ready at 405. Then waited with the zoom like screen pulled up until 450. Only to be told that my daughter needed to be swabbed but they were closed and she would have to wait until tomorrow. Not one person seemed to care or have any concern that she is hypoglycemic and she was not eating or drinking. I was even told “you’ll probably have to take her to the ER then”. I always try to be respectful of professionals, but I have never been so upset by the way a “visit” went. Absolutely a waste of time…
My wife and son were there today. I have an insurance family plan and usually I pay only $10, but this guys charge us $50. It would be ok for the good services but my wife and sick son waited 1.5 hour just to get an antibiotic prescription. When wife called me I said you need to go to the counter and remind them about papers. Ok. She went to the hallway and see that the woman with papers in hand just had a conversation with someone about nothing. When the receptionist saw my wife she gave her the paperwork ‘oh ok here we go’. Awful services.
Update: I ended up waiting to be seen for 3 hours even though I had “been next” for quite some time. When I finally was seen I told her what I suspected was the issue and she simply agreed with me and wrote a prescription… I had to ask her to actually perform an exam?? Since ya know, I’m not a doctor…——————Original review:Not that they’ll make any changes since this seems to be everyone’s feedback about this location, but Ive been sitting here for over 2 hours, watching so many people who came after me go and out. Another woman finally gave up and left.I understand that people are here for different things (physicals, etc), but this is ridiculous.I was told it would be an hour. I want to just leave but am supposedly next. We’ll see.
The health care staff are great! The problem arises due to excessive delay of care. I am bath talking about a 30 minute to an hour delay, I am referring to the hours of waiting despite an appointment scheduled for 8:40am. Making an appointment is meaningless apparently. The doctor I saw did a fantastic job but the business as a whole needs to work out their logistics.
Everyone was so friendly & helpful! Their nurse practitioner is very knowledgeable and really listened to me. I highly recommend this clinic
If I could give zero stars I definitely would I made an appointment for 130 and instead of honoring my appointment time it’s now 7:30 at night bc they kept pushing my appointment to a later time so I’ve had to wait 6 hours to even come in for an appointment and now am having to sit in the waiting room for 30 more minutes and have no idea when I’ll be seen I absolutely won’t be back to this urgent care! They absolutely do not care about sick patients
Was there yesterday with my 8 yr old child. She’s a diabetic who’s blood sugar dropped down to 75, I asked the receptionist if they had a piece of candy or a regular soda and she told me I could walk next door and buy my daughter something. Sad excuse of a doctors office receptionist.
Our pediatrician was booked for the day so my son was seen for cough low grade fever. Was told it was allergies. No tests were done. 2 days later he tested positive for Flu at his pediatrician.
Only giving 3 stars because the people that work there are very friendly and respectful. However, they only ran two tests which both came up negative. Doctor said sometimes the first one could come up negative so she said to try it. I have multiple symptoms, and I hate spending money and time on a maybe. Even if it took longer to run more tests, I would appreciate a definite diagnosis. Especially now since I have gotten worst, it doesnt even seem to be the first maybe diagnosis, and I am going to have to spend more money to go back to the doctor to get a more definite diagnosis to find out what I have which is a waste of time and money.
I was treated with kindness and a caring attitude by the clerical stall regarding my health problem. I was seen by a knowledgeable practitioner who was thorough in checking my eye complaint and prescribing medication and carefully explaining the care steps I needed to do in order to correct the eye problem. There was a long wait at the facility but I expected this. I would recommend this “Urgent Care” to my friends and family.
I took my three year old to this place over the weekend he was very sick. Mind you I never leave reviews so for me to leave a review I’m not happy. The nurse practitioner there looked in his ears and said that there was no ear infection also never checked his throat or anything. Best believe they tested for covid which came back negative. So I guess they self diagnosed him with allergic rhinitis. I knew something was wrong. I took him to his actual doctor Tuesday he had an ear infection and type A flu! Didn’t even prescribe an antibiotic
Everyone was extremely nice. The nurse practitioner that seen me was very thorough and awesome. Great personality and made me feel comfortable. I dont feel that way often.
Good place. All doctors are polite and professional. You dont have to wait very long for a doctors appointment.
All staff was very sweet and patient with both of my grandchildren for a sick visit. The Dr was very attentive with the tests they needed.
My visit was for a TB test for employment. They were very efficient, swift in operation, & care taken in the test. In returning to check results, I was taken care of in a matter of a few minutes. Would highly recommend them.
Dr. Flynn is absolutely wonderful and her nurse is amazing as well. They truly care about my well-being and they are both so sweet. I couldn’t have a better team on my side.
All the people are nice except the girl in front desk. It was the girl giving out the forms to fill out when you arrive on the right window i just forgot her name. Everybody is so nice from the person who received my filled out paperwork to the people who did the antigen test and gave the result they are so nice except her, i ask her if it is posible to send me a copy of the result to my email, she ask me why?didnt people inside already gave you a copy. And told her just for my record and she said yes but very irriated and let me wait while shes pretending shes doing something but she is so irritated so i just told her not to do it, when i was leaving she said are you sure coz im almost done with an irritated voice still. And i said yes and just walk away. Oh! i wish i got your name so i have to special mention you. How can you be the only person irritated in that office.. all the people there are so nice and friendly.
Well, I had to wait longer than expected but I was okay because the collection for the new hire hair follicle drug screen took less time than I thought. I did this the same day that employer submitted the request because they were fast-tracking my onboarding.BUT after I did this process on Friday, the following Monday I received a phone call saying that the hair retrieval process was done incorrectly. So I had to change plans, spend more money and gas, that I cannot afford, to go to another clinic per the employer that was further away. A complete waste of my time and gas money for the first trip to Duncan!
I visited this location twice in an attempt to take a urinalysis for trucking school with around 4 others. On day one, the waiting room was completely packed, which is beyond anyones control, but what they couldve controlled was their attitudes. A nurse came to the window and yelled out Im not doin this, tell Chris we aint doin it. Both her tone and body language were completely unnecessary. Overwhelmed or not, she could have and should have handled herself with more tact. On the second day, she same 4 of us arrived... together. Yet somehow everyone else was seen and on their way an hour before I was. Theres absolutely no logical for this. Ive been to a couple of AFC location and never have I experienced such poor service.
AFC suppose to be a quick in and out with online registration. I waited an hour by appointed time, but when I was called back it went fast. Ill say the Staff deserve a 5 star for treatment but the wait time too long.
Worst worst worst place to go!!!!!!!!!! Truly an awful experience. My husband had an appointment for his work. His appointment was at 5:45pm and we got there at 5:30. There was no one waiting in the lobby…. NO ONE! They told him to wait for them to call his name. He waited 30 minutes just in the waiting room. (Again, NO ONE was in there). My daughter and I sat in the car until 8:20 waiting for him. 7 people walked in and walked back out BEFORE him!! One person was even fitted for a support and STILL came out before him! He asked the nurse how much longer did she think he would have to wait, and he was told that he was not important and all of those other 7 people were more important than he was! What a thing to say…. I believe everyone’s time is valuable and my husband should not have been treated any differently. I can understand an emergency here and there, but 7 people!!!! You mean to tell me they were all “emergencies”…. Rightttt…. We will never be back and have informed the well known company that he works for to send all of their employees elsewhere.
This place is complete garbage. If you need URGENT care, this is not the place. I went in as a walk-in at 1145. After completing the computer registration, I was called to the from desk and told my appointment will be at 2:39pm and if that was ok. Hell no. Mind you, the parking lot, the lobby and everything was completely empty. Whats the point in having walk-in as an option if you have to make an appointment? Never again!
Took my daughter there yesterday for a sore throat. My first time there, they were happy to help. We got called back quickly. They were very thorough, diagnosed her, emailed our pharmacy and we were on our way. Im so happy we have a great urgent care a mile from home!!
I’m here right now for a DOT random drug test. Yes, it’s crowded. However, most of the people here are here for physicals. They can wait. When people come in for a random test, there are timers that you have to get the test done within. I’ve been here for over 90minutes, as has another gentleman. He went to the counter to ask about status, and she didn’t look at him or anything, just said “oh they’re working on you right now” and when he stepped away, she LITERALLY SHOOK HER HEAD AND ROLLED HER EYES AT HIM. Incredibly rude. Glad I don’t live in this area and have to rely on. People like this to provide my care on a regular basis. 2/10 do NOT recommend.
The lady at the front desk approved for me to be seen for minor medical attention but as soon as I got back to the exam room one of the doctors who brought in a male doctor making me VERY uncomfortable got a snatchy attitude without a given reason denying me service although my paperwork and my social security number was used. All I simply needed was to be checked over and given a doctors header note but instead was embarrassed and kicked out will absolutely not be returning here for any reason
My Tele-appointment was set up super easy, had great experience. Doctor was very nice and listened to all my concerns. Set up for covid testing was impressive! Very organized with patient and staff safety as top priority!Ive used AFC Urgent Care Duncan couple times already, they do know how to take care of you when you are feeling at your worst!!
Pleasant front desk receptionist; kind and patient took time to listen to my questions and concerns. Thanks Mallorie! I recommend AFC Urgent Care
I went to take drug screen here and was literally the first one In the building. Waited a good 30-45 minutes, I guess they just want to waste your time. Literally just could care less about anything going on in your day. After I take the drug screen the man informes me my results will be back ASAP. it’s been 10 days and I haven’t gotten anything back, now they’re saying they LOST the test and I will have to retest. This place should just shut down and stop wasting peoples time and money. Like PLEASE.
This place was lovely! Everything was clean and the staff we extremely sweet! This has been my best experience at an urgent care. I would 100% recommend people to go here. I preregistered online when I showed up I waited about 10 mins. It was quick in and out. The staff were wonderful and this includes every person I spoke with during my visit!
Personally i don’t have a good thing to say about this place. For one, the check in lady was rude. i walked up and she didn’t say can i help you or anything… just stared at me for like 3 minutes, then when i finally went back their my “nurse” seemed as if she didn’t know what she was talking about or anything. i left with the exact same problem and no solution
Thr older gentleman who welcomed me and took my vitals was great. He was friendly and had a good sense of humor. The rest of thr staff needs to learn from him! Thr others have a poorly hidden superiority complex that is not appropriated. I am a medical professional. Youre still human, not some god. Be humble, flexible, and learn to laugh.
Easy in; easy out. Peace of mind for a scary season of symptoms and health demands. We are grateful for the opportunity to be seen and left with smiles on our faces. Extremely professional from start to finish. Clean office. Disclaimer: we tried the televisit option first but with electrical storms and waiting over an hour in the video chat for someone to come online, we shut it down and drove to the nearest office.
I was seen on Memorial Day and actually would have given a good review, but then my review has since changed when I needed to follow-up. Memorial day I was seen virtually and then had curbside testing rather smoothly-only a 30 minute delay for past my appointment time. However, I needed a follow-up later in the week for something they need to look at that can not be done well virtually, and so I scheduled an in office appointment the night before. The morning of my appointment, I had two different messages saying my appointment was delayed 50 minutes then another 60 minutes. When I called, I was told I could not be seen in office that it would be another virtual appointment. Not to mention, I had already been on antibiotics and also had a Covid test that was negative. I do not see the point of urgent care if they only want to talk over the phone to diagnose. I can Google on my own.*I edited to give only one star after another provider told me I was given a childs dosage rather than adult dosage of antibiotic. Very frustrating to know Ive been taking the wrong amount for 4 days.
Great experience! Kudos to the wonderful gal named Ally. She was very helpful and informative.
Had a rough experience and sub par care. I replied to their text survey with the details and got a call from a local manager who was able to fix my problem in just a few minutes and assured me the staff would be addressed as a group about not letting this kind of thing happen again. So be aware its a work in progress but theyre improving and they listen which is really the mark of any good service provider, I think. Everyone makes mistakes so the important thing is to see how they handle making things right :)
My family usually has a great experience when we go. Anytime the pediatrician is closed. This time was a bust, Staff took an hour to get us to a room, once in the room waited another 25 min. Until we decided to leave. Very unprofessional and not URGENT for an urgent care.
I was very glad that your staff was able to see how urgent it was to see me ahead of all the other guests waiting yesterday. I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy and needed to start my recovery quickly and take my medicine quick. Thank you thank you. On my way back to me!
Without an appointment, I was greeted warmly, processed in an orderly manner and examined professionally. All within 90 minutes which I thought was very reasonable for renewal of my CDL.
Arrived at 2:15 and I didnt get called back until 3:30. I am very upset with this place the staff was great but the waiting time is ridiculous.. I suggest if u are in pain I would recommend going somewhere else no doubt because I will never go back to this place again..
DO NOT come to this place…. I was in a car wreck earlier in the week on Thursday. Broke my back & arm… I came to get medicine because I wouldn’t see my orthopedic trauma until Wednesday and I’m running out of medication. The RN was rude, I felt unheard…. I’m still walking in excruciating pain and she disregarded all of that. I know that because of Covid most health care places are over work& understaffed…. But She treated me like I was nobody and dismissed the pain I was in, even after showing her my ER discharge summary. DO NOT go to this place!!!!! Yes they took my money instead of telling me to go to the ER or my medical doctor it’s a Saturday btw. Please don’t go to this place!!!!
Ally made my experience more spa like than urgent care like. She even offered me water with cucumbers. Talk about service! Thank you Ally!
The best staff Ive ever dealt with at an urgent care they were so nice and helpful and all around it was a great visit. They got me in and out quick. They have a very clean facility and its linked to a super nice pharmacy at the end of the shopping plaza I definitely recommend AFC and first choice pharmacy as well!
My visit with AFC Urgent Care was very pleasant. The staff was friendly. The doctors assistant were friendly and very pleasant. I enjoyed my time in their office. If I lived closer to this facility I would make this facility my place to receive medical care.
Just waited an hour and a half in a “virtual waiting room” after being invited to join with the link. I definitely understand being busy, but don’t send the link and expect someone who is sick to sit and wait for an hour and a half or more for a visit. I never had any contact with anyone, so I left the room. Maybe a bit more organization would serve this location well.
Second time in a week I had to come here for a work incident. First time I had a small laceration on my head. This time for a follow up. Both times I sat in the waiting room for 3-5 hours. I understand overworked and understaffed but for it to be Urgent Care, there is ABSOLUTELY NO sense of urgency from a single employee.
The RMA Glenn was great with me and took his time. Dr. Matthew Delfino, knew immediately what my issue was and he put in orders of shots. Today 1/12/23 I am now standing up but with tension to my back and legs. Pain is now bearable.
Been here over 3 hours an still have not been called back. Came in for urine sample drug test for a job an the wait is killer due to I had to go urinate when I came in. Don’t think I’m going to make it.I did let them know my situation an all they had to say was they already have my chart in the back with my ID after it was still an hour later. It was only 10 minutes to do what i came in for when they finally called me back.
I made an appointment for 1245. That was useless. Then the NP did not listen to my concerns. Put primary cause of visit as rash. No, my primary cause of visit was and is internal pain post Shingles. Meds are not working.
On visit here was a great experience very polite receptionist and wait time was fast. Doctor was very polite nice and ready for all my questions. Whole visit was wonderful for my service needed.
Very rude. I made my daughter a virtual appointment for COVID-19 testing. It was scheduled for 9:15 am. Called the 1st time cause it was 10 minutes after appointment. 1st receptionist said she was running a couple of minutes behind and would call soon. So I waited til 10 which 45 minutes after the appointment time and asked will I be charged for this appointment cause its way past time. The other receptionist had a whole attitude, stating their is ou one provider doing virtual appointment. I just hung up and canceled all together.
*edit: manager commented and told me to call. I called that day and no answer, no returned phone call. Continued to call the billing department and still haven’t reached anyone. Received letter in the mail today that they sent it off to a debt collector.DO NOT GO HERE!Customer service is not great at all. They also got myself and my sons insurance backwards and I have called this location and their number listed for billing help multiple times with no help and they still continue to send me a bill.
Went to AFC Urgent Care in Duncan to have a couple staples removed from my head. The provider on site completely butchered the removal. Not only did it hurt more having them removed then getting them put in, but the provider busted the wound back open and put antibiotic ointment over the dried blood once the bleeding stopped. She didn’t even make an attempt to clean the wound first. She also lied to me and told me that it didn’t reopen, but when I got home and got the wound cleaned up, learned that the bleeding was from the wound and not from the staples like I was told.Do NOT go here to have staples removed! It’s much better to wait at the ER!
The staff was friendly and polite and the nurse practitioner was thorough and explained everything clearly. I went around 11am with no waiting after filling out forms. Would definitely use this location again
By far the worst experience I have ever had. I arrived at the urgent care at 7:55am 5 minutes before they opened. My baby and I needed to be seen because we caught what my oldest son has strep throat all we need is a test and antibiotics and we can go home I have been sitting here for an hour and 20 minutes so far I wonder how much longer it’s going to take them and I’ve already seen at least five people come in and out of there
I had a great experience. The staff and Doctor were friendly and the waiting room was full. I did have to wait of course as a walk in but the time was less than I expected. I recommend this Urgent Care.
Would have given 5 stars had the computer system been functioning properly. And patients would have been seen in the order they arrived and turned in their information forms; minus the patients with an appointments. That being said. Without a working computer system; triage training, or vigilant review of people needs, ie. Information sheet with medical needs to be prioritized by a competent official. Just my opinion..
They are stated that they are open until 8. When I showed up with my very ill 3 year old at 7:30 - we were turned away. They receptionist said that “they weren’t seeing sick patients and didn’t have any availability for two days”. I was trying to avoid the ER. There were no other patients waiting in the waiting room. I truly feel like she turned us away because it was getting close to closing time. Unprofessional.
This place sucks I came here cause I’ve been terrible I’ll for 3 days they make me pay 70 dollars for a Covid test just to tell me they can’t get accurate results because it’s not testable till after day 4 don’t you think you should have told me that before hand the lady looked in my mouth and ears no lie less than 5 seconds and says they don’t know what’s wrong I go to prisma and turns out I have a severe case of bronchitis don’t go to this location unless you want to be handled by the least professional nurses I’ve ever met in my life this is the 2ndtime they have told me they don’t know what it is if you don’t know then should you really be working in the medical field waste 300 somthing dollars just to be told there’s nothing they see wrong
I pre-registered with an appointment. The waiting room had only one other person so social distancing was easy. Check in was easy as most of the work was already done. The nurse and doctor were very kind and professional. It was quick and easy.
Dont waste your time going here to be robbed. My son was having an allergic reaction (hives/ joint swelling) and after filling out all the paperwork, in the waiting room, we were told that since his nose was running we had to wait in the car until he had a negative covid test. We pulled around back, waited a while for someone to come out and then waited 20 more minutes for results. After receiving a negative result we were brought in and the doctor took one look at his joints and sent us to the ER. Today I received insurance EOB- they bill was $612 FOR NOTHING! All they did was waste my time and prolong the amount of time my 3yo was in pain.
I had to visit the Duncan Urgent care for a foot injury. The staff were all very courteous and informative throughout my visit. I felt as though the issue was addressed by the doctor and his assistant as thoroughly and professionally as possible. Overall a very good experience.
This isnt an urgent care as they dont see patients with symptoms... she told me I had to leave and make a virtual appointment for a strep or COVID19 Which I have niether. go to riedville rd ... dont waste your time like I did................................................................So its probably been a year Im absolutely hurting I have strep I can see the white spots on the back of my throat... so I did it their way teletheraphy .... I set up a phone call appointment for 8:20 Am .... they called around 8:50 Am ...she did nothing just told me drive up here and have a strep test but I missed the 9AM because they called me late so I had to wait till 11AM. Im sitting in the parking lot been here since 10 to. Its 11:28 I called so I know they know Im here. I should have just gone to a regular urgent care since ther teletheaphy is bs anyway. being that you still have to come here. They are anything but urgent! I only tried this because my sister had done telephone care with her provider and it wasnt AFC and the person on the phone looked down and throat and asked her questions and then sent antibiotics to her pharmacy I said I should have known AFC would not be what you think it is. Never again! She finally came out at 1142 after I called inside again begging for someone to come help me and had she got nasty with for being upset. This place is awful. Now I wonder how long the strep test is going to take while I sit here for God knows how long. SMH
The woman on the phone was so patient with me, I really appreciated it. I called back 3 times trying to figure out how to follow through with the televirtual visit. It all worked out fine. And the nurse and PA were also very helpful and understanding. Getting the curbside swab was very simple. Thank you all.
Usually it’s a wonderful place to go for quick treatment. All the staff are friendly. BUT a nurse practitioner on Thursday February 21st with very dark brown hair treated me. She was in with me for a minute tops. Never listened to my heart despite my BP being high and didn’t even listen to my lungs. Not only that but she treated me with no respect at all and was walking out the door when I was trying to ask a question. I forget her name but if you see her walking in the exam room start running for the exit. I sat there crying after she closed the door and ended up walking through the office crying and had to sit in my car crying until I stopped to be able to drive. She was the most rudest disrespectful human being I ever saw at an urgent care. I think I’ll go to Doctors Care next time. All the other staff were wonderful.
Because of their negligence (putting in the wrong state for me), I am forced to have to take time off of work and travel 25 mins away to take a drug test I took weeks ago. Seems like an exception could have been made for me to come in after 5pm to retest (being as they will still be open) but of course not!!
My 17 year old daughter was sent to AFC in Duncan by her boss. She was doubled over with abdominal pain. She checked herself in and told them she was in extreme pain. She waited 3 hours to be seen and as soon as the Doctor came in and examined her they called me (I was right next door) to take her to the ER. Her appendix ruptured while she was sitting at AFC. She asked several times how much longer and the last time she went out to ask was told she was next after they were done with the the school physical before her. Urgent Care should be just that! People who need to be seen urgently. Ok so you do physicals and other stuff but someone should evaluate emergencies over other things. She had to be transferred to one ER then to the Children’s Hospital for emergency life saving surgery then stay in the hospital for 5 days. And yes I was letting her do this on her own because she is heading off to college in a few months and I won’t be there so she needs to know how to do it on her own but someone should have been more observant at AFC.
I showed up on Saturday afternoon needing attention for a very deep serious cut on my finger. Upon arriving the receptionist promptly had David come out to the lobby and take a look at my injury. They took care of my paperwork and insurance immediately, and had me back in a room cleaning my cut and preparing me for stitches to close the wound.Shortly after the stitches were done Keri came into the room and dressed the cut, instructed me on the proper care I had to do to keep it clean along with a tetanus shot . Everyone was extremely pleasant and very comforting while I was getting treatment. I am not from SC and only here for work so I was not expecting the level of care I received in the short time I was there. These people at this location are all professional care workers that treat you like family. Should you ever need medical attention in this area dont hesitate go to AFC Urgent Care in Duncan. Thanks Keri and David for taking great care of me along with all the girls at your place. Great job !ThanksRich
Great service and patient staff. I was pleased with the wait time and attention by the physician, someone who really listens to your issues. I went for a sinus infection and was also diagnosed with upper respiratory infection. Thank you AFC
All of the staff was very attentive and caring from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. Dr. Lindsey was very informative and I felt like I received the best care that day. I will definitely go back if the occasion arises! Great Job!
Was sent here to get a pre employment physical and drug screen. Sat in lobby for 2.5 hours, while the lobby filled up with others waiting and they took 4 people back during that time. The only thing urgent about this place is the name. Listened to the office staff and male nurse laughing and giggling all the while the lobby is filling up. Would go to the E.R. before ever going here again. I would rate zero stars if this would let me.
Thought Id give it a shot since its so tough to get an appointment w my primary care physician. Scheduled online for 12:30. Received a text that I had been bumped to 2:00. Showed up 10 mins early per the website directions. At 3:00, I gave up and asked for my co-pay refund. Could tell by the receptionists reaction, its a pretty regular occurrence for people to give up waiting to be seen.
**UPDATE*** Okay after leaving a not so 5* review Tony the manager of AFC urgent care reached out to me and refunded my copay he was very pleasant to speak with and explained everything very well about the severity of my cut and that they were not able to handle that there as they are general care. I am moving my rating to 4 stars customer service was great but maybe the triage could have been a little better thanks Tony
I previously gave AFC Urgent care a 5 star review. That was until my latest visit. I have reoccurring underarm abscesses and had gone there once before for drainage. My first doctor was great. She made the draining process quick and painless and I wish I could remember her name to mention her. This time I had the misfortune of being a patient of doctor Christina Smith. She did not even introduce herself before forcefully poking and prodding at the painful cyst. While cleaning the area she was rough and did not even fully numb the area before attempting to cut into me. I drew the line and left. I have never had such a terrible medical experience in my life. Will not be returning.
I spoke with Mallory, the Occupational Health Coordinator, concerning drug screening results for my company. She went above and beyond to help me out and was very kind and professional!
I used the reserve your spot in line online service and went in for an ear ache. I was quickly seen. Unfortunately, I did not react well to the shot given for my health issue. The doctor and nurses were very helpful, calm and caring. I greatly appreciated how they took care of me and ensured I could go home. I highly recommend this location.
Made an appointment for a telemedicine visit for 3:54 pm today. At 4:19 I got the link to join the session. I joined. No one ever came on the session. I hung up at 5:45! It’s a shame that sick people are treated this way. I cancelled a Minute Clinic appt for AFC bc AFC is closer to my house and I wouldn’t actually have to leave the house unless they wanted to do a Covid test. UNACCEPTABLE I expected much better!
The staff was very nice. The office is very clean. There is an option to begin paper work online prior to arriving, which shortened my wait time. I didn’t have to wait long once I arrived, nor did I wait long in the exam room before seeing the doctor. They even called the next day to check on me. The medicine prescribed was sent directly to the pharmacy and was ready on my way home.
If I could give zero stars I would. Went in for SOB& chest pain the only thing that was done for me was my vital signs & placed in a room. Was never seen by MD or PA. Was told by the MA that they didn’t have X-ray to go to ER. My insurance should not be billed. If the are I will dispute ALL charges.
Slow 3hrs I saw ppl come in and leave after me. They said I was the next patient 1 hr later I got in said they had to wait on a sick room. I could hear them outside the room all they were doing was standing around talking not being productive. Very lazy and time management is not their forte.
I came in with stomach issues, instead of doing a simple blood test they walked in and said can’t help here go to the er. Also, made a virtual appointment last time and they didn’t honor the time nor the appointment. Scheduled for 3:30 never heard back until the next day when they sent me a REVIEW LIKE I HAD BEEN SEEN. Horrible worthless place.
Place, very clean. Front desk, polite and fast. Nurse, very sweet with my 5 years old, good listener. Doctor, very nice with us and my daughter. Asked a lot of questions and listen to every single answer, and he answer every single question. I will definitely bring my family if we need too.
Very nice and caring staff! Beverly and Sarah took very good care of me while I waited for the doctor, Keri, to come back. Very impressed with this place and if I have any other issues I will be back! Way faster than the ER
I took my son to AFC Urgent Care in Duncan. We arrived, signed in, filled out short form, and was told theyd be with us shortly. We waited almost an hour before they took us back. They werent busy. Only 2 people waiting. I told NP my 9 year old had a fever of 101-102 for 2 days along with severe headache, stomach ache, and fatigue. She looked in ears and throat and left room. The nurse came in, swabbed for Flu and Strep and left room. 15-20 min. later, nurse came in with papers and basically said good luck. I asked whats the diagnosis, the nurse didnt know. I asked if Im expected to send him back to school tom. since hes obviously very sick, the nurse went to ask NP, came back and said yes. As I exited into the waiting room, the NP yells from back of office Tell her well call later with flu/strep results. Needless to say, I never recieved a call or results, my son is still sick, and now we have to go to another office to get a school excuse and diagnosis. Wasted 2 hours. Left not knowing anything more than I did when we arrived. I realized later that I had been warned about this place before. Apparently we arent the only patients that left highly unsatisfied and frustrated!
The thermometer IS NOT ACCURATE and I confirmed it with them as I had my own that was accurate; I had my 2 year old seen by them and I feel like I need to go to another Urgent Care for a reliable diagnosis.
The system was down and they were still able to see me and they were quick and courteous! Thank you AFC! For always being there.
Mallorie was very sweet and helpful. She helped me with everything i needed and made my experience a pleasure.
Wouldn’t take a stray cat here..and I do not like cats. Saw Keri Rexroad and she’s not a good listener at all. The nurse was really sweet and super caring.
I wasn’t greeted professionally during my virtual appointment and the lady who “assisted” me was rude. I did like the fact that the virtual appointment was over within 5 minutes. If you have any issues that cause you to need pain medication in addition to treatment, I recommend you go somewhere else because AFC won’t prescribe it.
Practitioner had my Blood drawn then told me they couldnt do anything with it no answer and told me to see my regular Doctor because they were not regular Doctors.Took a pee cup test she still didnt know anything. Told me to drink water and keep taking my iron. 2-9-2023
Absolutely terrible, i didn’t even get seen, by anyone there. Making an appointment doesn’t matter, you will still have to wait at least a hour. The staff is rude and even though there were signs posted everyone, the staff still wasn’t wearing their masks correctly. I would never recommend AFC urgent care to anyone.
Came to this place because I had a sudden very intense headache, with no other symptoms. I guess a headache like this is not something they treat, I dont know. I have insurance, I have $ to pay my bill. Could not believe they refused to see me. I have never had that happen to me before. They sent me a text telling me to set up a virtual online appointment which was a joke because they had no time slots left. I will never come back here.
Terrible customer service. Waited 85 minutes after arrival, and that was with a scheduled appointment. 11 taken ahead of us even though they were listed after us on the screen, most were walk ins. Then I was lied to by receptionist saying all 11 were for drug screens, blatant lie!! Talked to others who were there for colds, flus, etc. Finally left after never seeing doctor. Change name from urgent care to we dont care.
Very nice and attentive staff. They were caring and professional, will be using them from now on for urgent medical care.
I really wish I could leave 0 stars, this is by far the WORSE place I have been too.Took my 5 year old in and I have waited over 2 hours to get taken in and now have sat in the room for 40 minutes waiting for a doctor to come in. I am outraged with the service here, all the nurses are just sitting around and doing absolutely nothing !!!Save yourself a headache and don’t come here !
I made an appointment online for covid testing. Fever, caught, chills. They sent me a text I need to do a virtual and tgey are canceling my appointment. I get back on for a virtual it pushed me a day back. I called they hung up 3 times without even talking to me. I finally get a person and she said its now full and Ill have to take tge next available appointment. This was by far the worst customer service Ive ever experienced.
Dont bother trying to get a Tele visit. I thought that is what I had. It even said it when scheduling my appointment to do a Tele visit. But when I called they told me to come in...Im in so much pain that Im afraid to drive. Thanks for nothing.
Went in for a DOT Physical and the office was very clean. The staff was friendly and professional which made me feel really welcome. They answered all my questions and made my doctors visit really pleasant. I would recommend AFC Urgent Care to anyone who needs medical attention.
Awesome staff, friendly, courteous, and fast. Waiting time was reasonable and service was pleasant. I recommend everyone to do their DOT and drug screen at AFC urgent care.
Evening walk-in. I was dealing with significant back andleg pain. I was seen in a prompt manner. Ms. Johnson treated my injury and I could not be more appreciative.
I would do zero stars if I could. I have gone here many times for employment drug screens yet today they suddenly can’t use my paperwork. Inconsistent policies that are not clear only cause inconvenience to the patient. I would not recommend this AFC!!!!!
Everyone there is super nice and take real good care of all our needs. Usually we get in pretty quickly. The place is very clean and never overly crowded which means they must be doing a great job getting people in and taken care of. I definitely recommend it.
Friday evening I began having some very severe abdominal pain. By the middle of the night I was contemplating going to the ER, but I thought I would try to hold out until I could visit an urgent care facility that morning. I arrived as the doors opened yesterday morning and was hoping someone there could give me some relief from my pain and tell me what was going on. I was completely stressed and in agonizing pain. When the girl opened the door, the first words out of her mouth (in an uncaring tone) were, Do you have a mask? You need a mask to come in. What a greeting. After I went in, she asked what I was there for and I explained my symptoms- severe upper abdominal pain and nausea. I was told that I wouldnt be able to see anyone and that due to my symptoms I would have to go online to schedule a virtual appointment. Apparently, my symptoms are COVID related and they wouldnt see me. What is the point of an URGENT care clinic if you have to make a virtual appointment?Im just going to say, that if doctors are too afraid to see someone with some abdominal pain with nausea, then they probably need to find a new profession. Thats what doctors are supposed to do- help sick people- not just patients with a broken toe. Besides, if your mask and the patients mask work so well, then you should have no issue with seeing any patient.I went back to the car, took a peak at the reviews, and saw others complaining about this same issue. I did take the advice of another reviewer though and went to the Immediate Care Center on Reidville Road. They were friendly (the woman that got my information was a sweetheart) and a doctor promptly saw me and immediately sent me to the hospital to have a gallbladder ultrasound. It was NOTHING COVID related. This place is absolutely useless if they deem any of your symptoms (including abdominal pain with nausea) to be COVID related. Like the other reviewer said, save yourself time and go over to Immediate Care Center on Reidville Road. They will do their job- they will help you and get you the care you need.
I arrived for an employee drug test. I waited about an hour and a half. This did not involve seeing a physician or having a physical. Simply a urine specimen. I understand Covid is very important at this time, however, the drive thru testing should not take priority over patients who have been waiting over an hour and do not require a room. I do not feel that time management was used. They are short staffed which is unfortunate and I understand being busy. I don’t think that is an excuse to not multitask patients appropriately. Two patients walked out due to no one being at the window.
With an apt waited 2 hours left with no results total time there was 3 hours. Left with them telling us they would call and let us know if Childs foot was broken. It’s now the next day.
Went there today. Wasnt aware that I had an outstanding balance. Would not see me unless I paid that in full. They couldnt call and tell me that before my appointment time. Wasted my time. Will not go back.
Ally was awesome today as I waited to have enough sample to give I definitely recommend😁!
Made a sick appointment for my husband, drove 35 minutes to get there just for them to tell us that they only do virtual visits if youre sick. Which would have been fine if it has said that when I was making the appointment and didnt drive all that way for nothing.
Tony at AFC Duncan totally saved my bacon! I needed to get a COVID test done so that I could return to work, and did everything I needed to set-up an appointment. However, silly me deleted the text I needed to complete the registration for the virtual appointment. When I called I was hopeful that they could do registration over the phone, and Tony did just that. He helped me get everything completed and made sure I could keep my appointment. It may be part of the job, but helping me out after I did something stupid is going above and beyond to me. Thanks!
Easy appt scheduling, quick check-in, very short wait time, super nice nurses, fast prescription, would give 5 stars yet PA didnt even look in ears and throat (sinus infection) and prescribed an OTC
Had the same problems as other reviewersstated. Had abdominal pain/nausea and would not be seen because it was listed under COVID symptoms. Curious on how they will treat anyone who has a stomach bug or asthma, or so many other things besides Covid. I have always had difficulty breathing with masks, not just when I am sick, and it obviously worsens when you are not feeling well.I asked if I had to wear a mask because I was having difficulty breathing. Receptionist was not happy with my response, and said I had no choice, and it had to be worn. I will never return to this facility, and hope people see these reviews and choose not to as well for their safety !
Always kind and helpful staff, even when they are so busy. I have been experiencing good things every time I had to visit this place.
Did not have to wait long. Nurse Practitioner Linda Hayes was kind and gave us very good explanations for treatment and information related to our illness.
Dont waste your time going through the process to get treated. Doesnt matter what your symptoms are Even when you schedule a non covid related issue they will have you reschedule using the teleconference. then will tell you they cant accommodate the call because its late. The receptionist was understanding and helpful but relying on the Provider to make the call.
Very courtious. Soon as you come in they let you know what you need to do. I didnt even have my insurance card but had number and no fuss was made. Time was quick but there wasnt many people there. The plant does need water. Wish I could have taken it as it looked like no one really cared for it being there, and most people dont care if a plant is in a waiting room. But I just happen to have a love for plants and noticed it was in need of urgent care as she is limp and a little lifeless. But the Nurse Practionor was Great and I liked that my Husband could be with me at all times.Thank You
Very caring doctors and staff. Paperwork Everytime seems to be uncalled for but I can live with that when my regular doctor is not available.
Ive never been, had to take an test for employment.I was in and out Mallorie and the receptionist was very nice.Usually people will have a little attitude in this field not them kind and friendly
