I had the privilege of being under the care of Dr. Middleton, and I must say that he truly stood out as an outstanding OBGYN. One of the things I appreciated the most was how he took the time to thoroughly explain and answer all of my questions, ensuring I had a clear understanding of my treatment options. He never rushed through any consultations, always giving me the time I needed. Overall, my experience with Dr. Middleton was exceptional, and I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking top-notch OBGYN care. Thank you, Dr. Middleton, for your professionalism, compassion, and dedication to your patients well-being.

I used this clinic while pregnant with my son and I can absolutely say that they have been so kind, helpful, and understanding. I have a fear of doctors but Dr. Middleton made me feel so comfortable and I will continue to see him in the future. The staff is wonderful. My only complaint is with Dr. Gordon who delivered my son. He was extremely rude during my delivery and he ruined my birthing experience.

RUN! Frighteningly aggressive and controlling care, all with a smiling face. Doctors seldom asked me for my consent, instead using verbiage like I am going to do ____ now. When I asked for further explanation on things I didnt understand, they simply said I dont need to understand, I need to trust them because theyre my doctor instead of explaining. There are so many red flags here. INFORMED CONSENT is every patients basic right - any facility that grasps so hard for complete control is trying to take away your AUTONOMY, and birth is the last time you should be letting ANYONE else make your decisions for you, even a well experienced doctor. IF YOU STAY I highly recommend recording EVERY conversation you have with your doctor and video recording them during birth to protect yourself. PERSONALITY FIT IS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON TO CHOOSE AN OBGYN FOR BIRTH - if you are not educated you will be taken advantage of in this town. Do research on global billing - Dothan OB switched to this system around February of this year, meaning that the doctor that is on call when your baby is delivered gets paid for your entire pregnancy. THIS IS INCENTIVE FOR THEM TO ENCOURAGE UNNECESSARY CSECTION or intervention methods so you deliver on their watch, and they do. If youre not from here you need to know that there is a 90% induction rate in this area. I said it once and Ill say it again, RUN. Womens Medical is a great alternative if you want to stay at Southeast, as is Womens Center in Enterprise.

Dr. Middleton is simply THE BEST. He truly cares about his patients, and making your visit as comfortable as possible. He takes his time talking with you, you never feel rushed, and he will put your concerns at ease. The staff at this office are so kind as well. Brenda and Brandie have bent over backwards for me, to help me get in to see dr. and to answer any questions/concerns I had prior to visit. I highly recommend Dothan OBGYN.

Dr Middleton is an amazing doctor. I switched providers at 36 weeks pregnant and I’m so glad that led me to him. He asked me about my birth plan and truly showed that he cared. I ended up needing an emergency C-section, but he did an amazing job. He talked to me afterwards and was very caring and gentle. (Also 11 months later, my scar looks pretty amazing! Perfectly straight and tiny!) I started having symptoms of PPD & PPA, and during my appointment with him, he assured me that this is because of an imbalance, and went out of his way to make me feel like a good mom, and I really felt cared for. I’m so thankful for him, and his care. I highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Guy Middleton!

Dr. Franklin is absolutely amazing. The front desk is helpful and diligent. The woman who took my blood was hands down the best needle experience I’ve ever had, with very little discomfort. Thank you to your entire team. I highly recommend this office.

Reception staff is amazing. Especially Courtney. I recently switched to them and was seeing Dr. Gordon. Today was my first time seeing him when he made rounds. I’m in critical care and just recently got out of ICU in Birmingham. They’ve had to call maternity eval 4 times since yesterday to come see me and they finally showed up. The doctor walks in and says “are you bleeding? All I wanted them to do was check the baby considering the severe asthma attacks I have been having. He is the rudest, unsympathetic doctor I have ever met. I do not recommend him and am trying to get transferred back to UAB ASAP. I’m a firm believer in you reap what you sew and God will definitely humble him in due time. From reading the reviews he treats everyone this way.Me: no just crampingHim: is it labor painsMe: I’ve never experienced contractionsHim: didn’t you have other kids and you don’t know what contractions areMe: had my daughter at 35 weeks emergency c section and c section with son alsoHim at nurse: why is she here? Why is her heart rate so highCCU Nurse: asthmaHim: you don’t take medicine at homeMe: yea but obviously it’s not working that’s why I’m hereHim: well we aren’t taking the baby your only 26 weeksMe: I’m 27 weeksHim: doesn’t matterI have never in my life experienced something like what I have with maternity eval and Dr. Gordon at southeast health I do not recommend and I will be looking into a lawyer. Not only have I complained but other nurses have complained about the staff with maternity eval. They ER staff and the nurses in critic care here are absolutely amazing however bedside manners by Dr.Gordon is nonexistent. He didn’t even touch my belly or anything.

Dr. Robinson was my doctor and Dr. Middleton delivered my twins. I came in contact with all 4 doctors while in the hospital. They are all great and offered me excellent care. My stay in the hospital was long and I wouldnt have wanted to be anywhere else. That nursing staff is the best I have ever delt with.

Dr. Gordon is emotionally abusive and it is disgusting. Do better.Dr.Middleton and Robinson were lovely. If you told me now that Gordon would deliver me and how it would go and the things he would say to me than I would tell you I would rather kill myself than have him as my doctor.Save yourself the trouble and choose any other OB in the practice.

I’ve seen Dr. Phillips, Dr. Robinson, and Dr. Gordon at this office and I’ve been so impressed with the amount of care they give. Each appointment I have is short, sweet and worthwhile. Everyone, including the nurses and administrative team, is so knowledgeable and kind. They’re all individuals who you can trust in to have your best interest in mind.

My experience with Dr. Gordon at first, up until the birth of my daughter, was great. I did feel a little rushed at times, and he would forget who I was, which became annoying. A week before I delivered I had to remind him that my daughter was breech and we were doing a c section. I didn’t get any of my birth wishes, no skin to skin, no delayed cord clapping. I wasn’t able to bond with my daughter at all. Not to mention they almost forgot to bring in my husband! They already started cutting me open before he got in there. My main problem with this doctor and the staff is that I’ve suffered extreme PPD and they don’t seem to take it very serious. At least that’s how they have made me feel. I was “treated” with two different medications and was sent on my way. When I called to tell them it wasn’t working and it was making me feel worse, I didn’t receive a call for almost a WEEK! My mental health was not okay and I didn’t hear back from them for that long. That is not okay. The only thing they had to say was “sorry there’s nothing more we can do for you”. Seriously?! I already reached out to my PCM and they said my OB treats PPD and that’s who they recommend I see. Well, now what? I had an amazing doctor from enterprise reach out to me when they heard what I was going through, because they genuinely wanted to help me. What if I hurt myself before they called me back? Then what? I get why mothers commit suicide now, they have NO HELP. This practice should work on this area from here on out because they’re seriously lacking any care for their patients.

Dr. Middleton, hands down. He valued me as a person and a patient. He answered all my questions and he walked with me during my pregnancy, by that I mean he never called the shots. He listened and gave his opinion, but ultimately everything was my decision. He has something so many doctors lack now a days, compassion and empathy. I dont know him outside of the practice but I can bet he didnt enter the profession to get rich, he is one of the few. He is so VERY VBAC friendly. Even though I ended up with an on call doctor who bullied me into a c section, its very healing (after such a traumatic time) to know that AT LEAST for 37 weeks of my pregnancy there was someone who BELIEVED in me, someone who CHALLENGED me to be healthy and who ALLOWED me to choose my birth....Im forever grateful for that. I will remember him for the rest of my life, he literally gave me power over my pregnancy whereas the last two I had no power.Dr. Phillips is just as VBAC friendly. She will also challenge you to remain healthy and encourage you. She is a woman, which I know some prefer.Dr. Robinson, seems cold. He came after my c section and spent 30 seconds with me and said words like pannus and how if I didnt have it I would not get an infection. Id like to see the research on the amount of skinny people who get incision infections.Dr. Gordon..well just search for my review on him. Bully.

There is literally so much good that can be said about Dr. Phillips here at Dothan OBGYN. She is absolutely amazing! So freaking cool, relatable, funny, and oh so personable but dont let that fool you; she will tell it like it is and regarding my health? Thats how i want it. She has literally changed my outlook on visiting the gyno. I dont see myself ever going anywhere else. Much love to everyone at Dothan OBGYN ❤
