Was able to speak with a doctor/nurse within 2-3 days after filling out the forms online (this was the weekend of Christmas so I wasnt exactly expecting a speedy response). Received my package 2-3 days later. The text support was helpful and everything went as well as it could have. 5-6 weeks later I felt like I was having complications and was able to speak with someone qualified within 15-20 minutes. They were very professional and eased my worries (2 different doctors/nurses on separate occasions), gave me lab orders for blood tests, as well as a doctors note for missing work. Overall great experience. Would DEFINITELY recommend and use these services again

Hannah the NP, Lorrine at the front desk (i hoped i spelled her name right) they were extremely helpful and friendly. I was running behind for my appt and they were still able to accommodate me. I felt extremely comfortable during my time there and after my visit i felt all my questions were answered. Clean and comfortable office, i would recommend them!

I opted for a discreet at home service and I did overnight shipment which arrived the next day. Also received everything including pain meds, maxi pads, 1 hot pad and details instructions for each step of the way. They even texted me throughout the pill procedure making sure I had any questions and that I was doing it correctly. I really felt cared for and love the attentiveness. I d definitely recommend, great service!

From start to finish, its been great. Found it online, opted for the abortion pills at home. Took about 15 mins to fill out the info online. They say give 24-48 hrs to be approved. I was approved 2 hrs later. I also opted for expeditedshipping and they had it in the mail with my tracking number sent to me within 2 hrs of approval. I received the box the next day. The box included the abortion medications along with ibuprofen, Zofran, a hot pack, a maxi pad, peppermint tea, mints, and tons of info to walk you through. Literally a nurse will text you and walk you through everything DURING the process. During such a difficult time, they managed to put me at ease without ever making physical contact.The entire process went more smooth than I couldve imagined and Im BEYOND grateful for Carafem.

This was seriously an amazing experience given the situation. First off they are in a office high rise with many other medical offices and business in the same building which is amazing cause it makes your experience that much more discreet and there’s no way for protesters to harass you or know what your even there for. Second the front staff is phenomenal I was greeted with nothing but kindness and compassion. They even have snacks which was so nice because I hadn’t ate and was feeling pretty nauseous. The rooms were absolutely pristine she even dimmed the lights had oil incense going and music playing it was so calming in a stressful situation. The dr explained everything to the Max and made sure I felt completely comfortable and understood everything. Traveling to md from a heart beat state he’s also explained to me the follow up process and made sure I had everything I needed before going home. They provide you with EVERYTHING including nausea medication ibuprofen a plan b and a follow up pregnancy test. They even give you an extra “just in case” dose in the event you don’t pass everything. I can’t stress enough how amazing this clinic is during a trying time. Thank you so much for everything carafem! PS they also have financial aide options available if you meet the requirements this is so helpful especially if you have to travel to another state for a procedure right now.

Top notch quality care. Everyone from the lady at the front desk to the doctor was beyond patient, accommodating, and friendly. The office was clean and nicely decorated , I was in and out with no wait whatsoever. They took my insurance, and made me feel super comfortable. After I left they texted me personally (not automized) and followed up to make sure I didn’t have any questions and to continuously check on me throughout the entire process. I cannot stress enough how wonderful they are there. I literally did not have one complaint. If I could give more stars I would!

I went in nervous about an IUD and the doctor was extremely kind and helpful. She wasnt judgmental at all, and was super informative of all the forms of contraception. I loved this office and how easy things were. You had to ring a doorbell to get into the office itself, I liked that because it gave me a sense of security. Highly recommend going here! Theyre so sweet!

I accompanied my adult daughter to Carafem when she had an IUD inserted. The whole visit took just under an hour. We were both very impressed with the office environment (clean, warm, non-surgical feeling) and the staff was very friendly and professional. I was not in the room when my daughter received her IUD but she said the staff was great - reassuring and kind - and the procedure was relatively painless. The staff also explained how she might feel afterwards and what to expect in the coming weeks and months. And they made clear that she could call anytime to ask them questions. Our health insurance covered 100 percent of the cost of the procedure, which made the experience even better! I recommend Carafem to all women who want birth control!

This was my first time, and I was super IMPRESSED! I’d give more stars if possible. From the second you walk through the doors they make you feel so welcomed and comfortable. The appointment was super quick (no waiting), office was SO clean, and the staff was awesome. This was HANDS DOWN the best experience I’ve ever had when it comes any medical appointment I’ve ever had. I would recommend anyone looking for these services to look no further. You’re be missing out if you did!

I am not one to write reviews normally but was super pleased with my experience. The front desk & nurse made everything super easy. I Was very nervous about going but they were super attentive and made sure that I was comfortable and what to expect after my procedure (abortion by pill). The texting hotline has also been super helpful. Def would recommend

I visited this clinic in Friendship Heights recently. The location is super convenient and the place is very clean and professional. Staff are super friendly and caring and also highly experienced. In the waiting room (which has pink chairs and lovely photos of confident women), there is a book of comment cards that you can read from all the women who have visited the clinic previously. Reading them really inspires confidence because they are so personal but also very positive. They provide abortions as well as birth control options.

I am so happy places like this actually exist. I wish I could give it more stars. All of the staff members are informative, kind, and understanding. I felt like they really cared about me and my situation, and wanted to help with absolutely no judgement. I felt extremely taken care of by the whole team. I left the office feeling so calm and I owe it all to the atmosphere and wonderful staff members - I honestly just wanted to hug you all before I left. Keep doing what you’re doing, Carafem. Thank you for making something difficult into such a pleasant experience.

My wife had her appointment today. We were looking at planned parenthood and after comparing them to carafem we are so happy we choose carafem. Going in for a uncomfortable decision can be taxing and this place is so comforting about it. They really care here and they take such good care of you and how you feel. This place is what woman need. Thank you for being so good to my wife.

This facility is amazing! Its clean, modern, and easy to get to. Parking garage right there. Modern technology and safe. Waiting room is small -- four or five chairs only -- but they get you in and out. Very little waiting time. I personally didnt see a doctor but the other staff was friendly, understanding, and patient.

So, I’ve called four times now to simply attempt to schedule an appointment and each time I’ve called, I’ve been informed that I need to “call back tomorrow” because the schedule hasn’t been released. This started last Friday. It has been a week and I just hung up with a representative after having received the same response—for the *forth* time. On their website reps for the organization purport to “care about your time.” The impression I get is that providing timely, compassionate customer service is the very least of their concerns. This place is beginning to feel like the McDonalds of abortion clinics. I was going to cancel an appointment I had made elsewhere because Carafem boasts more reasonable prices, but I think I’m just going to bite the bullet and keep my appointment at the other clinic in DC; at least there, they are competent enough that the receptionists are all on the same page when it comes to scheduling. Jesus.

I called to get an appt and provided all insurance information. I received a call back and during the call I asked if my insurance had been verified. The person I spoke with told me that they were unable to verify. Fast forward to day of appt.... I contacted my insurance they were more then happy to call on 3way to verify benefits. When we were connected to the DC office we were rudely greeted by a woman. This woman was beyond rude and nasty. She argued with the insurance rep about looking up coverage with a tax ID number and not the providers name. While my insurance rep was trying to locate the information she was told that she has things to do and can wait briefly. She stated she would put us on hold and check back. While my insurance rep was working we were having small talk and low and behold the carafem rep interjected into our conversation. I’m really upset about this experience. Because of the reviews I was prepared to pay and file my own claim if these folks were out of network. However the rudeness and attitude was so concerning I chose to cancel my appt for that day. If this is what I’m greeted with even before I step foot in the practice what can I expect. When I canceled the appt the carafem rep started over talking me loudly to the point that the insurance rep just disconnected the call.PS. I am a medical case manager/ clinical nurse to one of the largest medical facilities in Washington DC. Our facility was visited by First Lady Jill Biden on her second day in office. I will be letting our CEO know and we will make sure to spread the word amongest other practices. THIS is not what healthcare is supposed to look like. We will no longer refer our clients here. Ok so I don’t really write that many reviews just because I usually just don’t even bother to take the time to, but I HAD TO for this place. The receptionist was ehh.. could’ve been a bit more hospitable but she seemed a bit overwhelmed, I get it things can get a bit hectic and stressful.. BUT Dr. Crawford (not sure if she’s a nurse or doctor but we’re going to call her doctor) is AMAZING , she needs a raise. Other than the super cool staff the office is super cool as well, the decor is amazing, it’s super clean, & you know how ultrasound rooms can be awkward because there’s just complete silence? Well they have speakers in their rooms with cool playlist to take some of that awkwardness away. I love this place! I’ll definitely be recommending this place to all my friends and family!

Carafem is amazing. I was very nervous about getting an IUD, but the staff were friendly and made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. The facility is beautiful, clean and discreet. Highly recommended! If only all healthcare were like this...

I was very disappointed with this facility because they did not allow me the father to be present during this hard process with my partner. They took really good care of her but its not fair that they make the father feel left out and put him out of the process. Carafem needs to work on this and its just unjust that they wont allow the father to be with the mother with such a hard process and instead just have nurses by her side.

I went in really nervous because of what I was getting done, but they made me feel so comfortable, no judgement. I feel so stupid that I dont remember my nurses name but she went above and beyond to satisfy my needs and comfort, Dr. Mark was amazing, made me feel so comfortable, he was fast and very efficient, he also went out of his to help me with what I needed done. Theres a lot of stress and stigma for a woman who seeks out care at a clinic of this nature. I had a lot of incorrect perceptions about what it was going to be like and my experience with Carafem was completely not what I expected. First of all, they are located in a secure office building with affordable parking next to it. Carafem was the first provider to show up on a Google search and scheduling an appointment online was super easy and convenient. The care team there is so professional and knowledgeable and caring. I cant say thank you enough to everyone at Carafem for making me feel cared for and prepared. I wish women everywhere were blessed enough to have a facility like Carafem nearby.

First time I ever went, the service was spontaneous they treated me like they are very concerned and educated me on the abortion pill and did a 10/10, their customer service in person and over phone is 10/10 they assisted me so amazing and even let my friend come with me to go through the process, it is very professional and located in a beautiful area, they went over each step and took me in their office right then and there. I hope I don’t go through this pregnancy scare again but if It did happen, I know who to contact, they also handed me some prophylactics to prevent from getting pregnant and even a plan b just incase, if this is the first place you come across, don’t hesitate to call ! FYI they have snacks too 👍

Don’t give important information over the phone while booking that can financially help you, idk what happened but my procedure went wrong and I ended up needing to have an emergency surgery done. I could barley breathe and was cramping very bad. The workers did not care, nor do they do refunds if the procedure doesnt work.

This is the best place Ive ever been to super fast service and loving and kind people everyone was so sweet and it feels like your in a spa beautiful relaxing environment. Theres no judgement here at all just understanding people that truly want to help. After coming here I wouldnt go anywhere else thank you carafem for doing all you do for us women!

I cant say enough good things about this place! My initial experience was great, and then Ive had a few follow up calls in regards to billing (no faults on their end at all!!) and they have been incredibly helpful and patient with my never ending questions.

I made an appointment, called a week later to confirm it, then was told later that same week when I called to reschedule that no appointment existed at all. I cant comment on the quality of services as disappearing appointments after confirmation did not bode well for the organization of the office and I decided to pursue care elsewhere.

This environment is much nicer than any other place Ive been to, if anyone is having issues choosing where to go for a procedure this is it.
