The medical receptionist was incredibly sweet! The MA was a doll! And Tonya was so kind! AFC Chelsea has such an amazing atmosphere every time I visit. Its quick. Its convenient.This clinic is the true embodiment of the AFC Mission, whether they know it or not. Great job, team! 💜💜

Checked in online for a 1:20 appointment. Arrived at 1:08 with only 4 other people in the lobby. Sent into a room around 1:30. Around 2:30 a lady came to say they were busy. Finally saw a Dr or NP who said we needed an X-ray. After the X-ray a brace was placed on the hand and recommended to follow up with an Orthopedic specialist. The hand was wrapped and we left. Total time spent in the room was about 1 hour and 55 minutes. (My son had a timer going but not sure why). Total time talking to someone was less than 10 minutes. I believe we couldve been triaged better and had an X-ray performed sooner.

I came in with my finger sliced open, needing stitches! Everyone was so kind and attentive. Kerri upfront assessed my finger and wrapped it while I waited! They took me back quickly. Nurse Kennedy took my vitals and was so kind. Shortly after Dr. Kennedy and nurse Sarah numbed my finger and sewed it right up! They all worked so well together and were very thorough! My family is new to Chelsea, and American Family care will now be our go to!

I had pain and swelling in my right foot, I went to American Family Care and they saw me without an appointment. The staff was friendly and the doctor was very thorough in the questions she was asking me. They did X-Rays on my foot and I didn’t have to wait very long for the results. The doctor had excellent bedside manner. I would recommend her.

Front desk staff was friendly and understanding. The nurse quickly got my vitals and gave me a shot at the end of my visit. Physician (Kennedy Howard) was very knowledgeable and diagnosed my problem with a great plan of treatment. I felt very pleased and comfortable and that I was going to be much better having going to AFC.

Building is new and clean. Registration process was easy and only waited a few minutes to be seen. Kennedy was patient and kind and seemed to truly care about making sure I received the treatment I needed. Would definitely recommend.

Easy appointment scheduling, the waiting system was a little confusing but it was fine. The front desk staff Abby I think was her name- she was fantastic! The nurse was so nice and the doctor listened and acknowledged everything I said.

My son and I just left this location and WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN! The only reason I am giving the one star is for the nurse who came in to take the swabs for testing. She were very sweet. The triage nurse and the NP were down right rude and dismissive. The NP had a horrible bedside manner and we felt like she could care less about how my son felt and just wanted us out and on to the next one. I understand people have bad days but when you work at a place that is designed for people to come to in their worst physical state and are in pain you dont get the luxury of expressing your emotions or dissatisfaction of your job.

Stopped by after work today, arriving around 4:30. Got signed in quickly and was in a room within 15 minutes after completing my paperwork. NP Kennedy popped in to introduce herself while my labs were running, came back with my diagnosis, discharge papers and asked if I had any questions. My total visit was no more than 45 minutes. Second time using this location and have been very pleased both times. Chelsea will be my “Go To” clinic when needed! All staff were polite, professional, and friendly. Great visit!

The staff were very professional, yet nice and helpful. They were very thorough - the NP checked my test results multiple times. The time from entering the lobby and leaving was less than an hour. One day later, after a couple doses of my antibiotics, I feel better than I have in a week. I will definitely go back and I will recommend going there.

They took good Great Care of my Granddaughter Drink, candy while we wait for results Nurses and Dr Great with our 9 Year old.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Was able to get my finger all stitched up and fixed very quickly and painlessly. Staff was very nice and friendly. Was in and out quick. Definitely recommend if you know you hurt yourself and all that jazzy stuff.

My son had a real bad cough and runny nose. I was able to walk right in, fill out information and be seen 10 minutes later. Very friendly staff, the office was really clean and the doctor prescribed medicine to get rid of my son’s sickness. The best part of the entire visit,  was a candy bag given to my son at the end of his visit and that made him feel so much better.

They got me in and out quickly and sent my prescription to the pharmacy with no waiting. The pharmacy had my prescription ready within 10 minutes of me arriving, and it was just across the street. Thank you AFC for having a sense of urgency with my pain.

I had a great experience at AFC Chelsea, Alabama. I completed the “Save My Spot” prior to going. All had to do was pay my co-pay at the window and wait a short time. All of the staff were wonderful. Kennedy CRNP was very thorough and professional. She was also very kind while I was sick and I really appreciate that in a provider. Even though I am a nurse that makes me feel better. I recommend AFC and their services if you do not need an ER! Nurse Allison

Another great experience! This was my second visit to this Chelsea office. The online reservation was so convenient! The lady at registration, nurse and doctor were all kind, friendly and quick with their care. The doctor was very thorough with my medical history to treat me with compatible meds. Glad they are in my community.

The provider today was extremely rude to my family. She barely wanted to touch my kids(look in their ears, nose, etc.). I’ve had great experiences there in the past, but today’s provider was not up to AFC’s standards.

Wait time was about what I expected for a a Monday morning near the holidays. The line did move smoothly though. The receptionist was very pleasant. My medical assistant fabiona was absolutely wonderful, pleasant , and understanding at a time of sickness. I am not from around here but came here due to the reviews and they did not disappoint.

I came with my son who had a broken wrist. We weren’t there long before we headed to our ortho but the staff here was sooo friendly, accommodating, caring, and such a pleasure to work with. They were swift and cared for my son well! Our experience was top notch!

Super friendly staff , everyone was really nice especially the nurses. Smells good and clean , i felt like they really cared and appreciated me. I didnt feel rushed for my appointment.

Quick, very pleasant, knowledgeable. The doctor asked all the right questions and explained carefully about the prescriptionsand how to administer same. Will gladly return as needed .

Came in office not feeling well. Was a busy morning but the staff worked quickly and efficiently to get everyone in and out. Thankful that Travis, Keangela,Jameria for working together and being so kind!

Clean and professional. Victor was excellent!! The doctor was very thorough. A little lengthy wait once in the room, but we got there an hour before closing. Highly recommended!!!

I went in for an infected injury that was previously taken care of by another facility. The check in was easy andfast. I didnt have to wait very long. The staff and doctor were nice and did a wonderful job of helping me. I left well informed and satisfied woth the outcome. I would definitely recommend this provider to family and friends.

I finished showing real estate properties and not feeling well battling inner ear / sinus issues. I was able to walk in, do all my paperwork and get seen within 20 minutes of arrival . Was able toHave a conversation with NP and get treated / and have script called over to pharmacy all while waiting to leave. Great care and ease of admission- visit and check out .

Amazing staff, very friendly! If you wait to long in your room someone is coming giving you an update. Just all around great little place to go . I drove 30 minutes out of my way , due to the reviews and it was well worth it .

Went in sick. Walked out feeling MUCH better!!This location is excellent. Facilities are top-notch, staff is Exceptional!! (KeAngela in particular was the absolute BEST tech Ive ever come across 5stars). And the physician Dr. Kennedy is hands down the BEST doctor Ive had the pleasure of being examined by. Knowledgeable, top-tier bedside manor, but most importantly SHE LISTENED. Anyways, this place is Great and Ive never had such a great experience being sick lol. Thankyou again

This will be my go to place from here on out. Wonderful staff. Super nice but also attentive. Best Covid test I’ve ever been given. The NP listened and we came up with the best plan of care for me. She truly listened. Best rocephin shot I’ve ever been given to. Excellent place to go.

I had been sick for more than a week and kept putting the doctor off.  This was my first visit to AFC and they weee amazing.  Very caring and considerate of how I felt.  Very professional.

Got to AFC in Chelsea around 11:20 on November 27th. I had fever, body aches and a sore throat. We finished our paper work within 10 minutes of arriving and got told nothing about wait time or anything until 12 when they took our co-pay and was told we would be seen shortly. We waited another 45 minutes to be taken back and vitals taken. The nurse came in shortly after to test me for covid, strep and the flu which after waiting another 30 minutes for the results I was told they were all negative. The nurse practitioner (not even the doctor) then said she would order me a gargle to numb my throat and to just take tylenol. I asked to receive a steriod shot to make it easier to treat being as Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I need to be able to be around family. The NP then explained that AFC’s do not give steroid shots. She sent me on my way with a mouth gargle and nothing else. Two hours wasted all for no treatment or even a little bit of help. I would not recommend this place to anyone family or friends. I completely understand there being a wait time as Thanksgiving is tomorrow but two hours for no help or recommendations is outrageous. Will not be returning to AFC in chelsea.

I visited the facility today and found the intake person to be unfriendly. The nurse practitioner seemed disengaged and uninterested in hearing my concerns, which was very disappointing, especially in Chelsea. The only friendly and helpful staff member was the receptionist.

I came in today with expectations that the CRNP would just tell me where I needed to go to have an awful leg hematoma taken care of the next week. Instead, she took me promptly back to trauma, numbed my leg (while addressing other patients seamlessly), and then proceeded to drain the pooled blood from my leg. She was absolutely thorough and professional, but also super compassionate. I wish I had her name, because the sheer amount of pain she relieved me from was unspeakable. I have a new, restored faith in AFC, and can only hope I get to use her in the future.

I do not have any complaints about my visit, but when I try to call a few days later to get my blood work results, all I heard doctor are busy, we will call you back. I called about a five times, and never get a call back. I am the same patient , I paid for service, so I believe I deserve something better.

I have been in severe pain in my left foot, I have also seen my regular NP to see to this over a month ago and today I went in AFC and Tonja Hagamaker NP took one look and knew exactly what it was and how to treat and has me following up with a cardiovascular doctor within 7 days because of this being cellulitis and poor blood flow.   I left feeling very pleased that I would begin to feel better soon.  Everything and everyone were fabulous and helpful.  I will definitely recommend this location to everyone I know.  I’m grateful you all were there for me today.   Don’t let Tonja get away from you all because she is genuinely concerned for her patients.Thank you so much.

Traveling north on I65 to Tennessee. About 120 miles from home and had to stop at AFC due to an illness. I was very pleased with service received. They find a Walgreen pharmacy in Tennessee about 5 miles from my stay in Tennessee. Got to Tennessee, got my meds and my weekend was a vey good one. Very grateful for the friendliness, professionalism, caring spirit from the staff today at AFC. Thanks to All

Very nice people. I liked the online check-in. KeAngela was wonderful, plus she was very gentle when drawing blood and I super appreciate that!! The staff manager was also very nice and I appreciate her attention to an issue I had.

I waited for an 1hour and 1/2 in waiting room with 6 patients ahead of me. Then 2 hours in the room. They came in and swabbed me for Covid and no one else came in. I had to leave at 2:10 to pick up my child from school, which was 30 mins away. I went out to tell someone at the nurses station, but no one was around. I could find anyone as I walked through. I finely went to the receptionist desk and told her to tell them I had to leave and why. Needless to say I will not be using them again. I’m not one to cause problems at all like this. I’m mean for goodness sake I waited 3 1/2 hours.

My son is awful with getting throat swabs and nose swabs however this experience was beyond fantastic with the help of ms. KeAngela. Generosity at its finest. Friendly reception friendly nurses and knowledgeable kind doctor.

As a VERY complex patient with an extensive health history involving Leukemia and a Bone Marrow Transplant, getting a simple cold can be scary. Mainly because trusting just any doctor to evaluate your simple cold means they are treading on very thin ice because they werent there during all of your journey to know how delicate you are. This facility just opened a few weeks ago and when I became sick with sinus junk, I didnt want to go to the ER. So, I chose to be seen here in Chelsea. The doctor was VERY attentive to my explanation of my history and was very cautious but thorough. I felt like I was in very good hands. I will be returning should I have future health issues.

I was one of only 3 people at the office & had to wait for an hour. The lady who performed my flu swab was very seeet & did a thorough job. The nurse practitioner was also very sweet & did not push meds which I appreciated as I tested positive for a virus.

I had a wonderful experience at AFC. The wait was not very long and as soon as I got called back to a room, I saw the doctor, who was very kind, understanding, and explained everything very clearly. I felt like the whole staff really cared about me and will return here the next time I’m sick.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The digital check in and registration was a breeze. We didn’t wait for long and the Dr saw us and got us out quickly while being thorough with the testing.

I came in after feeling poorly for several days, and AFC listened to all of my concerns and made sure I had a plan to not only resolve my issue but also to help me feel better. Thanks for taking great care of me and my family, AFC!!

KeAngela was amazing. I went in to have a wellness check & she took blood. I didn’t even feel the needle at all. Definitely recommend going & requesting her if you need blood drawn!!!

My appointment was quick I didn’t have a long wait time. The staff were very friendly, processional and caring.

I went here today and had a great experience. I got there right at 8am and was out by 9am. Registration was easy and all the employees were really nice. The nurse practioner that I saw went above and beyond for me and I was more than grateful for that. I highly recommend this place.

Definitely not most efficient or caring urgent care in the Chelsea area. I was the very first patient in and still waited a very long time. I knew I had strep throat. The swabs were negative but thank God they swabbed me again because the one they sent out was positive. Meanwhile I was sent home with no antibiotics feeling pretty darn bad. 4 days later confirming with Labcorp I did indeed have strep now having a very difficult time reaching a Dr at that facility to get me the meds I need. With so many urgent care choices we definitely will not be back

Very friendly staff and nice clean facility. The wait was a bit longer than I expected but ultimately a very nice experience. Nurse practitioner Tonya was very caring and attentive to my needs. Would encourage anyone Needing a quick checkup or urgent care to use this new addition to Chelsea.

Had to go in after trying to fight a sickness off for a week. They saw me pretty quickly and were very helpful and efficient. Steroid shot and prescriptions sent over to my pharmacy as well as tested for Covid and other things I was in and out in about an hour. Which is great. Very clean and organized. Very happy to have a AFC closer to home.

Over 2.5 hours to get a chest x-Ray due to broken ribs. They had to reshoot all the X-rays. Completely incompetent all around. One star rating is generous.

I got my blood drawn and ms angels was great she definitely deserves a good raise hospitality was great.

Got in and out pretty quickly and everyone was very nice and helpful. Waiting room was much better than my first experience. Online reservations are the way to go!

I had a very good experience at American Family Care Chelsea yesterday. The nurse practitioner, Ms. Kennedy was wonderful. I will now use this location for any emergency medical needs.

The day after my visit, I received a call from the the office that scared me to death. I was told my test results showed possible kidney and liver problems. I was advised to seek immediate medical attention at a hospital. I went to an ER and test results from AFC were off and I was not in organ failure. I was diagnosed with a gallbladder infection attack. I went from being scared to death to being upset that AFC had me on edge. I will not be returning to the Chelsea location.

Had a small home accident and they were very helpful went in and they got me back quickly accessed my injury and the nurse practitioner was amazing and took very good care of me and my injury. everyone there was wonderful and very professional.

Everyone showed compassion and concern. Thorough with testing. App is super easy for appt scheduling. No wait time, this particular day. Yes I will use them again.

Nice clean place, would give 5 stars but I had an appointment and had to wait 17 mins after my time. Otherwise great place

Not a good experience. I lost my voice the next day, and I still had to go to the ER. They gave me over the counter prescriptions which were not strong enough to tackle this virus and overall we’re not help. Will not return

The customer service at this urgent care facility is truly outstanding! Filling out paperwork online was a breeze and incredibly fast. My experience here was the fastest and most pleasant Ive ever had at an urgent care center. The staff members were all incredibly nice, and Dr. Howard was exceptionally sweet and caring. Without a doubt, I will be exclusively visiting this location for all my urgent care needs in the future. Thank you for everything!!!

Easy access from my home to the clinic. The receptionist was very friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The nurse, lab tech and PA were very sensitive to my symptoms and treated me accordingly. They were all good listeners and treated me with utmost respect.

KeAngela and the staff have been great so far at AFC Chelsea. Got my nose swabbed for Covid and didn’t even sneeze after!

I booked an appointment online. I came in and checked in and I was in the back within 5-10 minutes. The quickest I’ve ever been called back. Everyone was super nice at this location also. Great first impression.

The app allowed us to hold a place in line so we could stay home as long as possible. The staff was courteous and professional. Our wait time in the office was short. The Doctor had great bedside manner and was quick yet thorough with her examination.

College Football Saturday is a great time to go to the doctor. I was in and out in 30 minutes and I felt I received great attention.

Very nice and helpful people working there. They took very good care of me.

Once we got into the room to be seen it was a quick process, which was nice at my daughter screamed the entire time. My only complaint is the amount of information that I had to personally enter on a tablet/my phone while my child was clearly unhappy and unwell. It was information readily available via my drivers license and insurance cards. The lady at the front desk was very nice, however never offered any assistance even though it was very visit I was struggling and my daughter was in pain. I would have much preferred to tell her the issue, hand her my cards, and have her input the information so I could comfort my sick child. The lady at the desk did not appear to be otherwise occupied at the time. We were one of two people in the waiting room as it was near opening on a Sunday. The medical service was good, and I went out of convenience of location, but going somewhere where you have to manually enter everything was painful.

Checked in at 12:30, it’s is now 2:14. There is no excusable reason for any sort of care to take this long when the waiting room and parking lot are empty.

No one likes to go to the Dr, but what a pleasant experience! Everyone was so nice. When you are not feeling well, that means a lot. They got me in and out quickly. The facility is spotless and very nice.

I came into the AFC Chelsea location today for the first time. All the staff was professional and very attentive. The wait wasnt long and my doctor was able to successfully help me with my injury. I highly recommend this urgent care clinic to anyone within the Chelsea area.

The nurse practitioner on duty today 6/9/24 in Chelsea was great. She was very knowledgeable and helped me tremendously. Nice atmosphere.

The quick service was great! Facility is spotless. They diagnosed my symptoms and I was out with perscriptions in no time!

The Doctor, nurse and receptionist were great. Definitely will return. The only issue was the wait. I sat there for 2 hours. Okay, that happens in a doctors office. What I question is 3 different people walked in and said to the receptionist they had scheduled on line. They got called ahead of the people who had been waiting for hours. What if 10 people walked in telling the receptionist they scheduled on line. Do we keep getting pushed back?

The folks here at this afc is the kindest and most caring people I’ve had to take care of me in a long while.

The online wait is not very accurate. I went an hour early because I noticed my place in line had drastically dropped and I was able to go right in. So you may want to check with the office about wait time if you check in online. The office staff and care providers are great! It was a quick and efficient process- maybe 30 minutes in and out the door- to address an ear infection and lingering respiratory infection. They were very friendly and attentive.

Staff was very personable, polite and professional! The new facility is fantastic and well maintained and clean. Everyone was very attentive to your needs, and apologetic if there was any kind of delay (which there wasn’t, but they still apologized anyways). I highly recommend and am happy to have this facility in our community!

So happy to share my positive experience with the new AFC facility in Chelsea. The staff were friendly, professional and genuinely seemed to care that I was “under the weather.” Wish I had gotten their names so I could mention them directly. Check in was a breeze. Dr. Kennedy was great. She was friendly, not rushed, and hopefully has me on the road to wellness. The facility is spot-on clean, with ample parking. This AFC will be my place going forward.

Visit was on a Saturday. Only two people ahead of me. Got into an exam room within about 15 minutes, nurse took vitals. Doctor came in within about 5 minutes to examine me. She ordered 2 injections and 2 oral prescriptions which I had to take to local drugstore. After the nurse administered the injections, I waited for another 20 minutes and finally went out of room to remind them I was waiting on written prescriptions. They apologized and within a couple of minutes had my prescriptions printed out for me. Overall, I rate them 4 stars.

We checked in on line which was very convenient and the wait to go back was about 10 minutes but the tech checking the BP temp O2 was wearing such a thick cloth mask my husband who was the patient with a hearing deficit could not understand her so I was having to listen so closely to relay the questionsI understand the concern for catching things but please wear a shield or something so people can hereAlso we did not see a doctor just a nurse practitioner who was also wearing the same thick black mask and could bearly understand her either which i get but seriously they have face shields. we came in about a sinus infection and she didn’t even look in his nose 🤦‍♀️After trying to explain that he could not take certain antibiotics I guess we got one that might work I’m just not impressed with our visit

When I arrived to see the doctor I was absolutely miserable. It was very late in the day when I arrived and I felt really bad about holding them up. Not one time did they make me feel unwanted. They got me checked in, got my vitals and into a room immediately. Dr. Cox came in immediately and sympathized with me about having gone through the same thing. She ordered me some shots that came in as soon as she got out. The nurse with her, I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but she was awesome too. I had a little fainting episode and she went and got me a candy bar out of her lunch bag to bring me back around, they never rushed me even had me stay longer to make sure I was ok to drive. Hands down the best AFC and medical staff I have ever met. I will gladly recommend this facility and everyone I met last night to anyone. The admissions lady, the guy who took my vitals, my sweet little nurse and Dr. Cox… cudos, you guys did an amazing job! I can’t thank you enough ♥️

It was probably operator error but during the registration process which you have to complete, I had trouble trying to get to the documents that you are required to sign on your phone before the process is complete .

Keangela was so amazing! She made getting a strep test feel fun!

NP Kennedy Howard was awesome, she took time to listen to me, was very nice, and was very sympathetic. I did not feel rushed in any way. The nurses and secretary were very nice and patient. I left feeling well taken care of.

When sick, I’ve used AFC 3x since they opened and everytime it has been a very good experience. Entire staff very nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable….. Highly recommend them

The lady took my pics for insurance because it wouldnt load and lady in back gave my grand baby water to drink while we waited the doctor sent me in some pain meds along with uti meds

They were absolutely amazing and I felt like they were quick. Doctor was so kind and did an amazing job. Staff was so friendly and took great care of me.

I was not super impressed with AFC for my visit today this was the first time I went since they have opened this location. I went for a COVID, Strep, and Flu test and was there for over an hour waiting on my results. It took about 45 minutes for me to see the NP and receive my results. One of the employees brought me discharge paper for another client there before I even saw the NP. This was a breach of confidentiality - I’m also not certain they didn’t mix up my test results with the other patients. Once I saw the NP, she told me I would be getting a steroid shot along with a few other things. When the intake person came to give me the correct discharge papers, I had to let her know I’m supposed to be getting a steroid shot. After she gave me my shot, she put her glove over the area where the shot was injected and said I didn’t need a bandaid but shortly after, my injection area started bleeding everywhere. Overall not impressed - I could have easily gone on a bad day for everyone but just thought I would share.

We were very pleased and happy to have AFC in Chelsea. We were able to hold our place in line and didn’t have to sit in waiting area. All the staff was very thorough and knowledgeable.

Staff was friendly and the person who diagnosed me was very quick and thorough. Typical wait times I suppose, about 1 and 1/2 hrs to 2 hrs. There were about 6 people ahead of me.

The staff was very kind and compassionate with my elderly Dad. Got him in and out in a timely manner.

Very disappointed with this place. My husband came here when he was feeling very sick, they only tested him for Covid. Test came back negative and they prescribed him some respiratory meds. None of the medicine helped, all that happened is his symptoms worsened. Went back two days later and explained he was only tested for Covid and that I needed them to test him for the flu and give him the appropriate meds. He ended up having the flu. By this point he was very very sick. Finally got him some tamiflu, hoping it’s not too late to help him get some relief. Upset because they only seemed to care about if it was a Covid case or not, and the medicine I had to pay for wasn’t even what he needed. Had they tested him for flu like they were allegedly supposed to (according to the doctor on the second visit) he wouldn’t be near as sick and in pain as he is now. Also waited over an hour before anyone’s name was finally called from the waiting room. Not a very “urgent” place as the words on their waiting room walls claim.

Filling out the paperwork online is so easy and makes going in for the actual visit much quicker. The wait time wasn’t long and the staff are all excellent.
