Whole Womans Health of Charlottesville

Had an absolutely fantastic experience here for my IUD insertion! Without exception, every staff member was friendly, knowledgeable, and supportive. Pain relief and sedation options were stellar. Even the booking process was seamless and easy to complete online. I honestly cant think of enough superlatives! I will definitely continue to trust them with my relevant health care needs in the future.

I have been searching for a place that offers sedation with exams and procedures like Pap smears and IUD insertion/removals and Whole Woman’s Health was absolutely wonderful. I contacted WWH via email and they were incredibly helpful and accommodating and made the process as easy as possible for us. They were respectful of trauma responses in a neurodivergent adult, and also respectful of pronouns and gender identity, which was very important to us. The atmosphere was inclusive and warm and the staff at the desk were friendly and welcoming. I can’t thank them enough!

Absolutely amazing environment and staff! Drove 5 hours and I’m so glad I decided on this office! Staff was so caring and understanding and spoke to me like a normal human and explained everything and every step to me and made sure they told me in a way I would understand!

Even though it is a difficult and sad process, these women are the best staff in the world, they literally took me by the hand until the end, very supportive and very professional. I love them, thank you for preserving womens rights.❣️ love you ladies forever.

The staff is so welcoming and will make you feel so loved and supported and really do the most to make sure you feel safe and comfortable very thankful for them.

My visit was fine, knowledgeable Dr. And friendly nurse. However I moved, and since my test results, that came back, were inconclusive I have to have a follow up at a new clinic. Be aware of this before going, I would not advise you to visit this facility if you ever have plans on moving. Verbal constant is not enough from them to send records over to a new clinic. Okay, enough sense with HIPPA. But, why is it the patient has to print out said document, convert it to a PDF after signing and email it back? This was after three voicemails were left while trying to gain information on how to even transfer patient information. No one returned my call. Emailed a young lady, who luckily responded. Very inconvenient and lack of professionalism while trying to gain access to my own records. She also didn’t inform me that I needed to convert to a PDF till after I left the library, where I printed said release forms consent. Do they not have the tools to do this part at the least themselves working at a desk?? Again initial appointment was fine. Everything after was a train wreck.

HORRIBLE!! had appointment at 11am! And it’s is currently 2:15pm and just now waiting for DR to continue with appointment visit… this is RIDICULOUS WAITING THIS LONG.. HIRE MORE DRs to help the community better.. this is just dead wrong. Now I have to call out of work because I won’t make it on time…. Thanks a lot.

I am writing this as I’m sitting in the cozy room that they put you in after the procedure. I feel so grateful, and thankful, that this place and these women who work here exists. Everyone has been extremely kind and friendly! They told me EVERYTHING that I needed to know to go through with my procedure comfortably and with confidence. I literally have so much love for these kind women and the wonderful gentle doctor. The atmosphere here is sweet. Not too many ugly fluorescent lights. There’s lavender colored walls filled with inspiring quotes and artwork. They provide their patients with a multitude of snacks and drinks. I drank a hot coco, capri sun, and had a granola bar, and also 2 packages of peanut butter crackers. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to go. They took care of my mind body and soul

The nurses and doctors are very nice and supportive. They made it a very easy process . but baby. That wait time is hectic.make sure you don’t have no plans that day.

Amazing experience! They really take their time with you to make sure youre ok and to go over the process. The office is super cozy and comfortable. They also make sure the payment is as low as possible and quickly apply for financial assistance to help with the bill. Im so grateful I found this office! Thank you to the wonderful staff:)

This place was absolutely amazing. They do their best to make you as comfortable as they possibly can under any circumstances.They cater not only to your physical needs, but your emotional needs, as well as any concerns you may have.They provide snacks, water, emotional support, and comfort. Each and every employee was knowledgeable and kind. There was zero judgment and they made me feel like I matter.

I was in a real bind with making an appointment for my situation with other practices , and they made an appointment for me at a snap of a finger. All of the employees I met were so sweet and on top of their information. The building was beautiful and very organized. VERY CLEAN!! I would definitely go back.

Terrible experience over the phone. Talked to some guy who has no idea what I’m going through and hung up on me. I can’t believe the level of unprofessionalism and lack of understanding this individual had. I am going to schedule an appointment at planned parenthood. They have always been kind and professional. Do not chose whole women’s health in Charlottesville!!!!

This place is amazing! I went here a year ago and was treated with the best care ever. From talking on the phone to schedule my appointment to in person appointment, everyone was awesome! Very safe and nonjudgmental environment. I really wish I could remember their names to personally thank them.

Just left here after getting an iud with sedation and couldn’t be happier! every person i interacted with there was so sweet and understanding. i could still tear up thinking about how kind everyone was! zoe spent a lot of time with me and she was such an angel! would absolutely recommend this place to anyone :)

Felt so taken care of when getting my copper iud put in. i was very nervous about the procedure but the dr & nurses talked me through every step of the way & kept the vibe positive & light throughout the process. 😊

Seems to be a lot of miscommunication. I called over the phone asking if they can assist with free/discounted BC pills and was told about a program that they can set me up for free BC pills. Drove all the way here the next day and was told its not actually for pills, its for pretty much every other form of birth control. Why was I told its for the pill I need over the phone? Complete waste of my time.

Very warm and positive environment. Jena, my nurse made me feel 100% comfortable at all times! My doctor was amazing, and my experience was the best it could be. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with this location. I called them in tears moments before closing, after calling and being shunned by my own OB/GYN. The woman I talked to was very calm and understanding, even while I was crying, emotional, and hard to understand. I was able to make an appointment with them next day for my consultation.I was very nervous, but I really had no reason to be. My first appointment, I was by myself, but I did not feel intimidated at all. I checked in with the desk and got my paperwork. They have a very nice waiting room. They supply a lot of pamphlets and education on your options. This location is really an intense-free office. The waiting room was a little uncomfortably quiet when I was there, but then again I had the first appointment of the day. In addition to informational packets, your paperwork also has questions that check for any abuse or if anyone is forcing you to be at the client. They want you to feel confident in your options, and informed of them.My first appointment was easy enough. The nurse who took me back had a positive attitude and was easy to conversate with. She really let me led the conversation, but at the same time was really focused on both her work and making sure to listen and talk to me.My following appointments were also very calming and supportive. I was given many chances to discuss my options. The doctor was very relaxing to talk to and she answered even my dumbest questions. She even informed me that they could become my new OB/GYN doctor. So they offer a lot more than the obvious. The office also has a 24/7 nurse hotline and they are also unsung heroes, answering my dumb questions and calming my anxiety.This clinic is important. It is a taboo place for many people, but the staff is very friendly, honest, informing, and upbeat. They provide a safe service that is important to womens freedom and safety.

The doctor, nurses and staff are very professional, knowledgeable and caring. Love this office and I recommend it to everyone.

They were so professional. I had a birth control rod removed and the copper IUD put in all in the same appointment. I never felt rushed, uncomfortable, or nervous during any of the process. They talked me through exactly what they were doing the whole time and really listened to my concerns.

They are absolutely AMAZING! Every staff member was friendly, personable, and spent time with you instead of just rushing in and out. Definitely will be coming back for ALL my feminine needs! 💜

This was a great place to go. Super nice people, explained everything very well. Helped me feel comfortable as possible during everything. I would recommend this place. Got a heating pad and blankets afterwards along with tea or water and snacks to help you be calm.

RUDE customer service by HR Coordinator Jennifer. I called on Friday, Feb. 8th to ask if Whole Womans Health sponsored local events for local organizations. The woman I spoke with (didnt get her name) generously transferred me to speak with an office manager (extension number was provided). After several rings, I received no answer and decided to call back Monday morning, Feb. 11th.Today I call and Jennifer, the HR Coordinator answers. I explain my situation from Friday, and she asks who I spoke with (understandable). I reply I didnt get the name. She then sarcastically responds with, You didnt get a name...? I said, Yes, I didnt get a name. She obnoxiously laughs and sarcastically says, You called and didnt get a name...?. I said, No. I didnt get a name. I then explain what the event is for as she tries to cut me off. She responds shell just take my information and pass it on. Before hanging up, I asked what her name was. She provides her name and position as well. Not friendly at all! The whole conversation was not friendly. It was rude and sarcastic.From a business standpoint, customer service will always determine whether you keep or lose customers. This is a PEOPLES BUSINESS, not a me business. In this case, I will not call back, seek assistance or refer this company in the future to anyone. She has NO empowerment to treat people with belittlement because of her position as an HR coordinator. Thats awful costumer service and shows no leadership skills. This is a person who assumes they have power due to a position and receives pleasure from treating those as inferior. I dont doubt she treats her co-workers the same.Ive worked with multitudes of people with highly entitled positions and income... and the majority of them dont treat others like this. Age, gender, position, etc. isnt a way for them to categorize the respect others will receive.

Theyve really thought of everything here at WWH. After calling around my local town, I was surprised to find rudeness and inability to refer me to a clinic with real options. I had to expand my search to Charlottesville and found Whole Womens. I felt heard. There was no proproganda, or agenda. They actively listened, they presented scientific facts and offered an in depth look at the choices you have. I left with no confusion, and felt such relief.Speaking of choices, the environment and support staff were A++. Although Im a very no frills person, I noticed that every possible comforting measure has been taken in every area- diverse reading material, refreshments and snacks all gratis, blankets, I noticed notebooks for journaling, and stationary, I appreciated no televisions as it made the entire place very calm.All this to say- I was not fortunate to have a person to travel and share this experience with me, but I never felt alone at Whole Womens. If you are googling for yourself, or for a friend, be confident that this is a beautiful, supportive mission to serving women and families.

The atmosphere is here very comfortable and relaxed , you can come here for a variety of reasons not just abortions without feeling judged. They give free pregnancy test too , so that’s a plus. And every room is based off a strong influential woman, oh and the music is amazing.

The experience I had there was by far the best the staff was extremely helpful and they let you know everything thats going on and about to go on the doctor is very sweet and kind and she made it that much better I will definitely tell anyone else to come here the office was very very clean and it felt like home and the snacks was really goodAnd I just want to say thank you to all of them for making this experience very comfortable for meSincerelyMonique Johnson 😘😘😘😘

Theyre great, very clean, very informative. They make you feel comfortbale and help you get through everything and will answer any question you make have.

Atmosphere was wonderful, they had bowls of Jolly Ranchers and coloring books! Relaxing and clean! Private and helpful!

This appointment took over 3 hours and I was seen by someone for maybe 5 minutes of that time. It’s expensive and the staff is not super friendly.

Amazing service and people, they make you feel so comfortable I would recommend this place to anyone looking for woman’s care.
