Planned Parenthood - Canoga Park Health Center

Worst place ever! If you are not planing to sit and wait for 3 hrs on a chair even though you made an appointment don’t come to this location! I had appointment at 12:55pm and when I arrived I found out that maybe 10 more ppl had an earlier appointment and they are behind. They are accepting patients at 1 to 30 min so please do the math !! Don’t waste your time! There are better locations of planned Parenthood than this!

Why does this place suck so much for something simple like birth control. Came the 1st time waited over an hour for them to tell me I had to go to pharmacy to get it which is unusual bc the clinic normally gives it to me. Went to pharmacy and they couldn’t give me the birth control. Called planned parenthood and they said they made a mistake and I would have to come back to the clinic to get the birth control. Came back to the clinic and had to wait over another hour just to get the medication. Why is everything so painstakingly difficult at this place??

I just had the worst experience at Planned Parenthood in my life. I thought this place was supposed to be a comfortable place for people to come when they have concerns that are taboo to talk about in the outside world. Come to my surprise when we walked in the vibes were off. We were trying to be good civilians as well when we opened the door for a nice woman, but they yelled at us saying that we couldn’t open the door and then didn’t yell at another person who opened the door for someone else. I got the stink eye so many times and the women who worked there were not warm and welcoming, but seem like they wanted to get you out of there as fast as possible. Props to them for doing their jobs but come on we need a little bit of sympathy and empathy here. The crowd is definitely a plus to the Experience. But it feels like we’re all a little community in there for the same reason. While trying to survive the horrible office desk, ladies.

Avoid at all costs if you can. Wait time is atleast an hour with an appointment. Two of the three at the front are rude. Such an unpleasant experience.

Ive been coming to this location for years & although at times the wait can be fairly long even with an appointment this place never fails me. I always appreciate the staff here & planned parenthood in general thanks to them all. Today was a really quick and easy visit its very much appreciated!

This is the worst clinic you will ever encounter. I tried to go in with my partner as I had a list of questions that I wanted to ask the doctor and as a family I wanted to be in there with my wife and ask the doctor and listen. They do not allow you to go in, I asked them to show me a policy that states that a partner cannot go in. They showed me a paper if we do not discriminate against any sex, religion, etc has nothing on there that said partner cannot go in. I told them this paper doesn’t mention anything about a partner not being able to go in to see the doctor. The lady flipped out, she said “you shouldn’t go in this is her body not yours. My body my choice” crazy! I told her but the patient my wife wants me the husband to see and meet the doctor with her. Wouldn’t you want the same when you are with your husband? People that work this office are off. Completely off in the head on top of that rude and disrespectful! Robots with no brains. People like that’s shouldn’t be working especially in customer service.

They dont even deserve a 1 star. Horrible customer service front desk ladies, make your life miserable. They dont allow your company to go inside, which is ridiculous. This clinic should be inspect by the city, to see the way they treat their patient.

Don’t waist your time. Do not come here. If you have that green card county benefits they will not accept it and they will make you pay $350 even when you qualify for the county benefits. If you come with your partner wife or husband in case they have any questions like any normal couples that may have questions for the doctor, they will not allow them to come in. I’m writing this review to honestly HELP everyone who comes across this. I BEG you, do not go to this clinic and possibly non of the Planned Parenthood Clinics. More than likely you WILL be misdiagnosed, and not cared for as you should. If you are looking for a place that I’m 99% sure they will take your insurance, and you get “accurate” results concerning your health, go to Miracle Womens Medical Clinic located at 7100 Van Nuys Blvd Suite 113, Van Nuys, CA 91405. I had such a bad experience at Planned Parenthood here in Canoga Park. . . . . . Planned Parenthood Clinics really should be shut down. Truly hoping this review helps someone.

Whatd the point of making an appointment if it takes so long to be seen? I waited an hour for a prescription. Ive definitely been to other PP location that had medication on hand and were quicker to service. Also, half the questions couldve been asked over the phone to save time.. Try somewhere else for better help.

Very helpful. yes, you wait for a while… but seriously people? what do you expect? It is an underfunded overcrowded operation. as far as service goes, I have only had great experiences with planned parenthood. It has been so nice to have somewhere to turn when I am in-between health coverage through work. everyone has always been really nice, and the doctors have been more than willing to discuss any questions I have for them. I actually have had better experiences here than when I was insured with kaiser. I think my last doctors name was Patty.?. she was great. All of the nurses I have come in contact with have been super nice as well.Its a bummer to see everyone complaining about having to wait. Suck it up.

Im grateful for this place. Yeah sometimes the waits are long but this organization provides so much for people. I was having bad cramping pain after having relations with my partner. I wasnt sure if the iud was placed okay. My primary care doctor couldnt see me for another two weeks. I came here as a walk in so I was okay with waiting. They interviewed me and then took a sample and told me what I had right there. I picked up my meds same day. It was just a relief to get answers. Ive been coming to this facility since I was 15/16. Its a bummer that its getting defunded. Nobody was rude to me. They were just doing their job and being normals nice. I dont expect people to be super friendly and overly sweet.This place has so many services and not much staff. I would expect long wait times regardless because it can be a free service. I know they also have to prioritize if someone reports anything that should be seen out of concern.

Horrible staff they are so rude the girl that works at the front is the worst. I made an appointment today and she asked me five times about insurance when I said I didn’t have it and she told me to leave as I made an appointment. They need better staff

Made an appointment 3 days prior.. arrive, only to find out provider canceled due to being on lunch then they tried getting me to change days then said Id be stuck waiting for an hour or more! super unprofessional; could have at least let me know prior it was canceled

Scheduled an appointment for birth control waited over an hour in the reception area! When going to the back they said another appointment was needed! So an appointment for an appointment and the provider disregarded my questions and concerns. Again, today an hour wait time in the reception area. They’re overbooked and girls in the front are jaded, short and abrasive customer service is not strong.

I came here to have my birth control implant removed after having it for 3 years and they told me it was good for 5, so I called the provider that implanted it(no longer in network with my insurance) to verify it was only good for 3 years. Planned parenthood hood still refused to remove and replace it and said 5 years. After calling my insurance to verify the amount of years it was good for only 3 years I won’t be a patient here because they clearly don’t know what they’re doing.

The are slow & had about 10 people standing outside in 98° weather. I needed an appointment for a pregnancy test (requires urine). Seems like a bad location (but the closest to my house). Ive been a patient of the branch for 20yrs now & this one is small & politely rude!

Such an excellent clinic. Great, polite, well-informed staff. The doctors are always amazing - special note on Veronica who was kind, quick, and very knowledgeable. It’s the only medical facility I’ve been to in recent years that actually listens to you and provides unbiased advice.

The location is always friendly to walk-ins. And they have so much patience with people, who become angry. I was seen a lot of strange people there yelling and screaming. But the staff is professional and caring. Yes, you may need to wait, because there are a lot of people in the valley, and they all have different problems. And if you come in pain, they will do their best to see you in a timely manner. Please, arrive before the time you are scheduled and be patient.

Ive been coming to this location for 6 years. A trip here used to wipe out my plans for the entire day. It used to take hours to even get past the waiting room. Today I was in and out within an hour. The staff was very friendly. The woman at the counter even came out and made sure every one knew there was water and restrooms available in the back if we needed. I used to dread having to come here, but my experience today was so pleasant I can only hope that if I didnt have an appointment it would of been just as quick

Best planned parenthood I’ve been to! I made an appointment and got seen within 20 min of checking inThe girls at the front were SUPER nice and helpful and the same goes for the Dr and the nurseI was nervous going in because of the negative reviews but honestly it was one of my best planned parenthood experiences!

I got there at 8 am hoping to be the first one in-line so don’t have wait to long in line and guess what?!?!Clinic didn’t even open until 8:30 am because no one from working staff show up until 30 minutes later….. quite impressed with work athletics of working staff … you can come and go you please?!?!

So thankful for this place. I dont have insurance at the moment and they save me from hefty bills. The staff is awesome and really care. I came for a walk in(dont recommend unless u have 3 hours to spare) but for free services I cant complain. It is clean and well kept.

Clean and everyone is polite. However, one of the workers who I believe is new. She seemed very unsure with her decision making. She violated HIPPA when she called in patients she would called out the full name of each patient vs by either first or last name. A refresher might be helpful because a person can sue for disclosing that information especially in a clinic that advertises protection of patient privacy.

You cant find service worst. Employees are not competent and talk to you like you own them something. You will spend hours and end up coming back and waiting more because they damaged the samples they took a week ago. Its a damage to the persons health. I dont think anyone in that office should work with people in a healthcare industry. They threat customers like they are coming for a medication (which they wont give you).I think all good reviews are written by themselves.

Im going here tomorrow and its the closets one yet. One lady gave me the wrong date to come back!!!!! (for the depot shot) honestly, the people behind the desk should be fired. They are rude, aggressive. I had an appointment at 1:00 p.m. and stayed there till 6:00 p.m. !!! I was literally crying cause I wasted my whole day on their mistake. I hope they read these reviews. They suck!!!

Came here from Van Nuys since Van Nuys is over a 2 hrs wait with an appointment. Only for it to be the same damn thing!! Deff not coming back here either!

Went in without an appointment and was out pretty quick. Everyone was super friendly which surprised me with all these bad reviews! Ive been to other locations and the wait is ALWAYS a problem so I was prepared to be there for a few hours since I was just a walk-in but I was out in an hour so I am very satisfied with my visit!

Horrible customer service i came an 30 mins early for appointment and they had me waiting an hr before i left with out being seen. Also the ladies at the counter will let u stand in line for 15 mins before calling you forward. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN

Okay, its great that you get free healthcare, but the wait is too long, i waited for 3 hrs. i guess they assumed they was a hoe, b/c they didnt inform me how to use my birth control not how to use my condoms. they cant just hand things over like that without telling me.

My app was at 12:45pm didnt get seen until 2:38pm so frustrating!

No one has been answering the phone for two weeks or connecting me and I’ve been in need of care, wondering what is going on or why i cant get connected.

Doctors/nurses are sweet and very serious about their job. A very reliable clinic.

More than 2 hours wetting with appointment, theyre too slow and they dont care about your time.

Staff are friendly besides the long wait they take everything step by step to give you the best services.

They deny you service and assist you via an intercom!
