From walking in to completion the experience was amazing. Mike was very professional and it obvious that he knows his job and is passionate about his customers. Customer service with Micheal was top notch. The wait time was virtually nonexistent. I highly recommend this location your needs. Top-notch And a wonderful experience.

Dr. Preet is one of the best doctors Ive seen. She genuinely cares for her patients and went above and beyond, even calling me this morning to check on my recovery after I was sent to the ER. Her bedside manner is excellent, and she’s always thorough and knowledgeable. She even got my specialist appointment to avoid delays in my care. I would choose her over my primary care doctor any day.

The doctor and the nurse who treated me and took care of me were extremely excellent. They were professional, kind and caring. They took their time to figure out the situation and came up with the best solution. I am grateful to them. Thank you so much. Words cannot express how much I appreciate you all.

Mike at AFC was fantastic. He serviced my needs and was very thorough with all the paperwork required from the department of the interior To process my testing Samples quickly.I honestly did not realize they service so many other things in this area unique to specific clientele. It was my first time visiting this AFC Urgent Care. I was visiting from Texas when I fell ill, which led me to seek medical attention at the urgent care facility. I was thoroughly impressed by the utmost professionalism and exceptional helpfulness displayed by the three individuals who assisted me: the receptionist, the nurse, and the physician assistant, Donna Jennings. Both the nurse and PA made sure that I felt comfortable and at ease throughout my visit. Their genuine care and compassion were evident throughout the entire interaction. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone seeking medical assistance.

After 2 min of being with my daughter Dr. told me, there is nothing i can do. I should have left immediately. I told her that the vital signs she was about to take were going to cost me $300. She told me i took her words out of context. When i repeated the order of our conversation she EVENTUALLY did say that i was not wrong. In the end she told me there was nothing to be done. I reminded her that I should have left after she told me the first time and she ended with, ...I just cant! I cant be concerned with how much it is going to cost. That is absolutely the problem. This middle aged Indian female doctor needs to be responsible for how she speaks to patients and have understanding that if she is unable to treat patients for whatever reason that she should just let them leave without having them incur a crazy fee EVEN AFTER insurance.

They truly care about the care you receive. Claudia and Jessica have superb customer service and I find that rare these days but they truly are GEMs keep GOING the EXTRA MILE. I will definitely recommend them for urgent care needs.

The staff during my visit today 12/1/2024 were extremely amazing and knowledgeable. I was so sick when I came in and felt so much better when I left. They listened to my needs and provided me with the utmost care I needed. Thank you to all the staff, especially to Nurse Practitioner Hanna.

I walked in this morning, there were 2 patients waiting ahead of us. One hour and half passed by, I still have not seen by the provider. I couldn’t wait any longer. I was extremely tired and in pain. The clinic was very understaffed. This is urgent care clinic, but only one provider is working. I will not come back to this clinic again.

Attending Michael had amazing bedside manner, & PA Arian was super professional and calm too as she explained the situation in kid friendly terms. Grateful for this local urgent care office that calmed us through an intensely gushing nosebleed that wouldn’t stop.

Waited for two hours. There were no doctors on duty just one nurse practitioner. They want to make more and more money. I don’t think the person who runs this practice cares about people’s health just profit. The nurse practitioner was very apologetic and sweet, poor thing. She was running the entire practice all by herself and it was busy. They should hire at least one doctor. I hope I never have to go to this place again again.

Update: after leaving this review they tried to charge me another 50$ when I went back in and asked for a refund. Luckily my bank caught it and declined it!Said the manager was unavailable after confronting them about this.Sat in the room for an hour after being called and ended up just walking out because nobody came to treat me

I’m extremely surprised that this urgent care has great reviews.There was no one waiting outside with me in the room, yet it took 90 minutes to see a doctor, even after preregistering online.If you don’t mind an extremely SLOW-paced service, then this is your place.Will not be returning.

Visited in the evening with my preschooler who needed an x-ray. The staff was so caring and comforting during a scary time for my son who was experiencing some pain. In particular, a health worker named Michael was very helpful to my family. He was so great with my little one. I aKao appreciated the little touches in the facility (lollipops and treasure chest!) that helped my son feel cared for which ultimately helped him to cooperate when he needed to sit still. The visit was fast and the staff was knowledgeable. We will definitely be coming back to this location in the future!

First Urgent Care I have ever been genuinely impressed with. This place has truly caring staff that will do their absolute best to care for you as quickly as possible. I came in extremely sick and left feeling a lot better. They were able to give me several things to make me more comfortable, answered any questions I had, and gave me the utmost quality of care. They also sent prescriptions to my pharm to help me with aftercare, and with a full IV bag, the entire process only took a couple hours. I highly recommend this place for you and your family, and know that walkins will be taken care of quickly. You will feel cared for here. 10/10

I recently visited this urgent care when I wasnt feeling well, and I have to say, the experience was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. I usually dont write reviews, but this visit truly stood out. I was seen quickly, and the care I received was top-notch. Every staff member I encountered made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. I highly recommend this urgent care to anyone in need of prompt and compassionate medical attention!

Friendly, prompt service. Everyone treated me quickly and kindly for my acute bronchitis that I was worried was turning into pneumonia. Chest x-rays were taken to rule this out. All my questions were answered and I felt well taken care of!

Everyone was great with my 6 year old! Long wait despite having an appointment but all the urgent cares were just as busy today. We got seen here more quickly than we would have at PM Pediatrics and the MAs and doctor were friendly, understanding, and patient with my son.

Great experience. They got me in and out in less than 30 minutes. They were friendly. The doctor took the time to explain things and pulled up photos of the ear to help me understand. I’ve brought my daughter here before as well and it was a quick and good experience. I wish I didn’t have to put my debit card on file (front desk said it was required), but said they would contact if I owed after insurance before charging anything.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My wife was very sick and we came to the office around 7:20, they turned off the phones and disabled the ability to check-in. If you didn’t want to do your jobs, then you should’ve just locked the doors and turned off the lights. Your business hours say 8pm and instead of helping someone, you’re in the back of the office gossiping.

Melissa helped me with my drug screening. She is really friendly, nice, and helpful! The receptionist is also helpful as well. Highly recommend! ☺️

I was left in the exam room long enough the lights kept turning off. I was given someone elses discharge paperwork before my tests were even done (HIPAA violation??). One staff member ordered test, and then a second staff member questioned me why i was getting those tests.. i dont know, Im not the one that ordered them. I then got a second wrong set if discharge papers with symptoms I didnt have. Who is running this place, and do they even talk to each other!?

Great customer service and love Dr Jennings. She’s really become the better alternative to my PCM for myself and my kids. They’re always quick here and take great care of us.

Everyone on staff, from receptionist to RN, is always kind and patient here. Im 2/2 for good experiences and accurate diagnoses at this urgent care. Maybe the only two good urgent care experiences Ive ever had.

I dont know if its possible to make going to the doctor a pleasurable experience, but AFC in Burke comes pretty close. From the moment you walk in youre greeted with a clean waiting room and friendly reception. You check in using the iPad and it sends you a link to fill out all of your new patient paperwork including uploading photos of your ID and insurance card. I absolutely love this! You can even do it ahead of time and get in line before you even get there using their website. The exam room was clean and had a tv, the provider and nurse were friendly and helpful. We were the only ones there- in and out for an ear infection in about 30 minutes including a covid test for my 5-year-old. When we left they offered us bottled water, a lollipop, and a cool unicorn popper toy which was very much appreciated by my child. Were military so we usually use military treatment facilities but those take hours. I will absolutely be using AFC in the future, especially since they take Tricare prime. They sent our prescription over to our pharmacy at Giant foods (also takes Tricare prime) in a timely manner. And we were back home before the morning was over. This was such a nice and easy experience and I recommend it to anyone who needs a quick walk in appointment.

Absolutely fantastic experience with my drug testing! Staff was incredibly friendly, and the process was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend this facility! Michael, who collected my urine sample, was extremely knowledgeable about the process and showed great patience. *Update 08/30: I left two detailed messages for the Manager (Michael) at AFC Burke today (since he replied to this post) and have not received any response as of 3.30pm.Incredibly frustrated at this facility. I just got charged a second time for an urgent care visit that happened in Dec 2023 (a full 8 months later) for a simple finger infection (which was misdiagnosed by the physician prompting a second visit within 5 days for the same issue - I had to pay a Co-pay each time anyway).AFC Burke retains credit information and thinks its OK to go ahead and process payments without the patients consent. I have spent hours trying to resolve this with their centralized billing department - it seems their automated billing systems and customer service dont sync with each other so its on the patient to run around trying to find resolution. I will not be visiting this facility ever again for sure. Absolute nightmare.

Very suspicious that this place got 4-5 star reviewsDont expect your insurance will cover your bill because this urgent care won’t claim for 8-month vist in Dec 2023, send you a late bill (Aug 2024) and say “your insurance denied” (confirmed that my insurance never received anything from afc.). If this happens to you, 3-way call with your insurance and afc billing dept is strongly recommend.The facility experience wasnt good either.Poor management.

The young man at the front desk and the young nurse who took care of me on 21 Aug were both professional, courteous, efficient, and helpful. They are the kind that do right by AFC and by your patients. Job well done!

If you feel like waiting 3hrs, and not get tested for your concern and just given meds, then this is the spot for you. Signed in at 530pm, 537pm got a text saying I would be see at 6:02pm. Wasn’t taken back until 627pm. Took my blood pressure etc and was told the doctor would be seeing me shortly. Over heard patients that were in the waiting room after me being taken back and taking care of before me. I wasn’t seen until 740pm and left the office almost 10min after they closed. Doctor was rushing, no tests done, just showed her the issue and was prescribed meds. If you’re busy, at least have someone come in every and now and then to see how you are and give an explanation, I feel like if I never stepped out of the room they would’ve just forgotten. Bad practice for not testing and given meds, side effects can be awful. And no check up on patients who have been waiting for almost 3 hours while patients coming in after you are treated first.

The entire staff and Dr. Donna Jennings was such a delight to talk with. Very thorough and was great with my children. Highly recommend this Urgent Care and we will definitely be back. Thank you again and God bless.

I did my immigration medical here two weeks ago and called back today to follow up on the results. Please educate the front desk people. They really don’t know what’s going on. Kept saying I needed a vaccination although I submitted mine a few days ago. Plus all the answer I was getting is “WE Don’t Know”, “We don’t know” the whole time without next steps.

Don’t go here. I went here for a suspected UTI almost 2 months ago. They never called me with my POSITIVE results, I had to call myself. They then tried to get me to come back in so that they could charge me for another visit just to give me antibiotics. I was on hold with them for over and hour trying to get my correct antibiotics since I am pregnant and can only have a certain kind. They finally agreed to send in a prescription without me having to come back in. Another issue was that I went in with a primary and secondary insurance (both in network according to my insurance). They submitted to my secondary first even though I specifically told them which one was my primary and which was my secondary. So they I had to call them yet again and was told they would submit to my primary (which took them a whole month to do). This morning I saw on my primary insurance app that they submitted for a strep throat infection and that it is out of network (even though my insurance said it was in network). I will not be paying them a dime because both of my insurance covers urgent care and this office also incorrectly submitted a claim with false tests that I never did. I have not had strep throat since I was a child. I simply went in for a UTI. Outrageous!! I also have a copy of the tests that I had done because I made them send it to me. So I have PROOF they committed fraud.

Xray tech Micheal Moore is an absolute legend.I checked in using the kiosk. A minute later, somebody comes out wearing a backpack. Clearly his shift is over and hes going home.He tells me to make sure to leave my ID at the counter so someone can complete my check in.When i stand up, Micheal sees im limping and without hesitation; one foot practically out the door he says hes the xray tech and lets go to the back immediately to take my xray.He could have said nothing, I would have been SOL. While I was there the man helps 2 other people with xrays and then finally leaves his shift im sure much later then expected.The entire staff here was super friendly and professional.

Nurse Practioner Donna and the staff there today were awesome. Donna spent time talking to me (unlike my primary doc) and I wish I could have her as my primary care!

I was having really strong chest pain on the Fourth of July, and really didn’t want to deal with the emergency room at my usual hospital after having a bad experience there. This place took my concerns seriously, took great care of me, gave me an EKG, and assured me that my pain was NOT my heart (thank god) prescribed a muscle relaxant and gave me great advice on treatment. The provider was fantastic, and I will absolutely be coming back for any urgent care needs! Phenomenal!

This is the second time I visit AFC urgent care. This time the visit was for my 14 year old son, who had a finger injury. We arrived 20 minutes before closing. And even though we went in last minute we were greeted kindly by the nice young man at the front deck. Registration was easy, my son was called back pretty quickly. The provider was kind, caring and demonstrated great bed side manners. Thank you AFC team for taking care of my baby😊

If youre here for a drug screening for a job, make sure to arrive before 5 PM on weekdays and before 2 PM on weekends, as they don’t offer screenings after those times. I called them multiple times, but no one answered, and I ended up driving 30 minutes just to find this out.

I had a great experience. It was super fast to get a slot. I was in and out within 15 minutes. The staff was really nice and easy to work with. And the office seems clean. Id definitely come back here again.

AFC Emergency is outstanding, and I always request to go there. Dr. Donna Jennings is excellent at handling patients and providing top-notch care. Thank you all!

Terrible. Uninformed staff. Unable to reference my insurance even though I called and verified it was active.Not operating within the law when it comes to privacy practices and the staff are clearly hard working but misinformed. When I pointed out that I had not been given a copy of privacy practices even though they required me to sign the form stating that I had, they pointed me to a section of public law and told me it was common knowledge. In the end I was unable to be seen.Recommend avoiding this practice. There’s plenty of other options.

The front desk staff at the urgent care was professional and kind and friendly. The doctor was organized and very detailed, and the medical assistant was warm and friendly and detailed. This is a great place.

We visited after my daughter hurt her foot while on vacation. They did an X-ray and wrapped her foot. The process was easy. There was hardly a wait. Everyone was super friendly and good with the kids. Would highly recommend!!

I am another victim of their poor billing system. I normally do not leave reviews but I am writing one today because I truly hope this wouldn’t happen to another person.I was told from them they were in network with my insurance BCBS, so went there back in December 2023. The visit was not so great because I and other 3 people had to “WAIT” for the NP to get to the urgent care. When I finally entered the room after waiting about 1 hour, I had to wait about 30 more minutes in the room where I could hear staffs talking loudly about other patient’s HIPPA.More than 5 months later, I got a bill saying I owe them money because my insurance denied the claim. So I called my insurance and found out they did not receive any claim from them. My insurance reached out to them. My insurance was told they would hold on my billing and reprocess the claim.3 months later, I get a notification from my credit card showing AFU urgent care charged me without sending me any single bill saying they would take money out of my card.I called their billing department, and they simply said I was charged because my insurance is out-of-network and my bill is overdue. So I called my insurance again to find out. My insurance still did not see any claim made from AFU.When the rep. from my insurance company called AFU billing dep. via 3-way we found out the claim was billed to a wrong insurance!It’s been more than 8 months since my visit, and despite calling them regarding this wrong billing 3 months ago, they still have not done anything but charged me the incorrect copay through my credit card without a single notification. I am very dissatisfied with this facility! I will be updating this review once my insurance company receives their claim.****after contacting the manager’s number as they replied here I was told I would get a full refund, and they would rebill correctly to my insurance, but my refund was still not received after 2 months!!! I have contacted them and talked to two different mangers but neither of them is taking responsibility of this issue but asking me to delete this review!!!*****

We have used this urgent care on several different occasions for both myself and my kids, and we have never had to wait longer than five minutes to be seen by a doctor. Donna is a wonderful doctor and always so kind and compassionate, especially with our children. I would highly recommend that you stop here if you were looking for an urgent care!

I decided to go to this urgent care versus one closer to my home based on reviews and was unfortunately very disappointed. I reserved my spot in line the night before and got a text telling me to come into the office because my spot was coming up. Got there to wait 45 minutes in lobby, quick vital check than 20 minutes wait to take tests, another 30 minutes to wait for test results and dr, 5 minutes with Dr and than another wait for prescription, so overall 2 hour experience for 5 minutes with doctor. Everyone was nice and doctor explained they had some true emergencies, but more transparency of the expected length of time should of been told upfront or I would never have kept my appointment. Also copay seems to be much higher than other places.

I arrived at 2 min to 5pm, WITH an appointment at 5. Two people in the waiting room, and both went to the back, got a paper and left (assuming they were waiting on a prescription or Dr note) and then we got called back. It was about 5:30. Now, it should be noted that it said on their sign in device that walk-ins faced a 12 to 27 minute wait to be seen. I waited 30 minutes with an appointment. So right out the gate that’s a big red flag. The medical assistant was incredibly kind as was the woman at the front desk. Both were very polite and professional. The medical assistant took care of us and a shortest. The provider would be in shortly. We waited more than an hour for the provider and finally, my children could not wait any longer. Both were hungry, and the one who wasn’t needing a visit had to be dropped off at her lesson at 7:15, so when 6:25 rolled around, 90 minutes after our appointment, we walked out. At 7pm, someone from the facility tried to call me to see if we still needed to be seen. So what that tells me is that my 5 o’clock appointment with a 12 to 27 minute wait for a walk in at the same time would not have been seen for 120 minutes. I am a Registered nurse, I am used to inefficiency in healthcare these days, but that amount of time to wait with a stated wait time of 12 to 27 minutes is unacceptable. Nobody came back to see if we needed anything while we were waiting and nobody checked in on us to let us know how much longer the wait would be. No one was rude, but I do not think I would return given the experience we had.

First time at AFC Urgent Care Burke and was very pleased with the service I received. The gentleman who processed the initial paper work at the front desk was friendly and very efficient. I was immediately taken to the medical room. Donna the PA, Monica and Cecilia the medical assistants were excellent. They were very attentive, caring and professional. Donna explained to me what they were going to do and explained in detail my after care follow up. I would highly recommend this urgent care facility.

Bills you way more than expected and chooses more expensive codes intentionally, knowing your insurance won’t argue. Cost more than $600 to have me, my wife, and 2 kids treated for a common cold despite having United insurance

AFC is by far one of the best urgent care experiences I have had. Last night my son and I were sick and I decided to try to get us to an urgent care for testing. We showed up maybe 3 minutes before closing (fully expecting to be turned away), but were accepted and seen. Even though they were basically closed, everyone from the receptionist, to the nurse, to the doctor took exceptional care of us, and made us feel like our care was more important than them getting out of there.I brought another son back this morning for the same testing. We had an entirely new care team, but the experience was the same.AFC is now my go-to urgent care. Thank you!

My dad was visiting and needed to be seen. We came to the clinic and he was seen quickly. The doctor was very kind and determined what was needed to help. His visit was under an hour and his prescription was forwarded to cvs.

I took my daughter here in September after a fall. She hit her head and ended up with a broken wrist. They said they took our insurance. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes showing us the xray results, never looked at my daughters head, and, even though everyone was nice, they were not as professional as other urgent cares I have been to.But the worst part has to be the after care. Turns out they are out of network, okay I should have double checked, they charged us way more than other places, but I wanted to be done and got the account to $0 in April. Until today, when they called again to tell me, oops we have some other charges we forgot on the last bill and you owe even more.Dont go here. Its not worth it. If my kid was hurt in their parking lot, Id still go somewhere else. I will never come back.

I just went today for the first time. Probability waited 5-10 minutes. Very fast to be seen. I had so much chest pain and a hard time breathing. Every person I incountered from the front staff to the x-ray tech to the Dr. were amazing. Genuine concern and care. I highly recommend them.Just had another visit. Their whole staff is amazing. Found out they are also a primary provider. I just got new insurance so Im soooo glad that I could choose them.

Went in for a tetanus shot because I cut myself on a rusty fence while out of town. Walked in and the facility was very clean. It was a Monday so it was just me. The gentleman at the window was very nice and told me what vaccines they offered. He quickly took my information and I filled out my paperwork on my phone which was convenient. It was a very short wait. I was seen by Cecilia Sam- Mbomah and she administered my vaccine without any issues or pain. She told me they just needed to observe me for 15 mins and I could leave. Waited the 15 mins and was out with my paper work and very little hassle. Easiest visit to an urgent care I’ve had in years.

Doctor Jennings and staff were excellent. Wait time was short. Very professional and great service. Highly recommended

AFC was great. I dislocated a finger and they were courteous, organized, and knowledgeable. Had X-rays and hand treatment within the same facility. I would use them again!

Made an appointment for 9:15 online. Finally was walked in by a nurse at 10:00… 10:30 now and still have not seen the doctor. What is the point of having appointments online set 15 minutes apart when the actual wait is much much longer? And maybe having information upfront about how many providers are on call would be helpful. Sigh….

My 17 year old son said Wow, every person we talked to in there was the nicest person ever. He then asked if we could just go to the AFC Urgent Care for all our appointments.

If you have BCBS for Insurance, please DO NOT go to this facility. Like others have said, you will get hit with a big bill due to a discrepancy on AFC’s end. They did offer a 15% discount which doesn’t amount to much. Just go to another urgent care all together. It’s truly unfortunate because I’ve had great experiences with the doctors in the past and now I’m getting requested to pay extra for services from 6/2023- 12/2023 when I’m accustomed to paying one copay and being done.Update: They charged my daughter for a new patient visit on one bill and an established payment visit on another. Since when??? They seem like they are out for money.Update 5/29/24:On May 14, 2024, I received a voicemail from an employee named Richard representing AFC Urgent Care stating my daughter and my balance was written off and my insurance was now accepted. He also called my husband. Fast forward to now, I have received a phone call, mail from a collection agency, and multiple emails saying I owe money for a bill I was cleared from. When I looked at the statement, it adjusted my bill by $11. This was also a visit that I went to where the doctor stated if the medication did not work in 3 days to come back and get a new prescription. This is utterly ridiculous. I will continue to update as this stressful situation unfolds. To say I will never give an AFC Urgent Care my business again is an understatement. I have received major surgery at an hospital and it came out cheaper and less stressful than this urgent care visit for my allergies. I don’t trust this facility’s financial department and I am tired of being harassed. Again it’s sad because the doctor’s are good.I have attached the voicemail transcript I received from Mr. Richard of AFC. The written transcript can be unclear but if I could put the actual voicemail on here, I would. You can clearly read that my balance, my daughter’s, and now my son’s balance has been resolved.

This used to be my favorite Urgent Care when I moved to the area earlier this year. Our first 3 visits to this urgent care were some of the best experiences we’ve had. The service was quick, the nurses were very professional and the doctor was funny, caring and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately a lot has changed in the last three months. I brought my kids for a strep test two months ago and we waited close to 3 hours even though there were only a couple of patients ahead of us.Today I came back for a simple test and I’ve been waiting for over two hours with only a couple of people ahead of me. There’s a new PA at this facility and I feel the service is not the same. I won’t be coming back to this location.

I have been to this location many times, and they had always been wonderful- fast, caring, compassionate. Apparently they are under new management, and it shows. It’s time to find a new urgent care. I waited over an hour and a half with only one person ahead of me. Once I finally saw the PA, she seemed great. However, the wait was really long, and I’m miserable.

Went to AFC Urgent Care because of a thumb injury that occurred playing softball. Didn’t think it was broken but because it had been a few days and I still couldn’t hit a softball or golf ball effectively, I wanted to make sure. Had X-rays taken that confirmed no broken bones but there was a severe sprain. Hand wrapped for protection and advised to ice it down several times a day. Took about 30 minutes total. Receptionist, xray tech and doctor were all very helpful.

I had a foot injury that required an x-ray. After signing in, paying my co-pay and seeing a doctor, I was told the x-ray tech was not in, and I would have to go elsewhere for the scans. Wish I had been told this earlier. Otherwise, I really like the staff and services I have received at this office. I would definitely recommend, but would advise calling to confirm if you need an x-ray.

I was seen right away. Everyone was very nice from the front desk, MA to the provider. The provider had good attention to detail and performed a thorough exam.

After a great experience here, it seems a mistake on their part has led to a major pain. Their billing department billed the wrong insurance in the wrong state, leading to my claim being denied. Someone from the office called about 3 months after my initial visit and fessed up to the issue immediately and asked me to ignore any bills I get as they will try to fix it. They actually told me that they did this to multiple claims and were trying to fix. I have gotten many bills saying that I owe the full amount from this practice since. It’s near impossible to get through to them on the phone now as it seems they have cut a lot of staff. When I did get through, the person was extremely rude and said they were “too busy” to fix this mistake. I would advise anyone considering this urgent care to go somewhere else. Inova opened up a new clinic at the Pickett shopping center that is new, clean, courteous, and understands how to bill. For anyone from this business who replies, my wife worked in a billing department for a doctor while in college. She fully understands the mistake you made and it is your duty to rectify.

My son was seen this morning at AFC and received excellent care and service!! From the front desk to the Nurse and then Nurse Practitioner, we were treated kindly, patiently, and attentively. Tameka (nurse) was awesome, super friendly and warm. Tracey (NP) was very kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. Felt like my precious cargo was in great hands!!!

Amazing care! I took my daughter here when she developed pink eye. We were seen with very little wait. The care we received was compassionate and the nurses could not have been kinder. We will definitely be keeping this place in our family’s “medical rotation.”

This is the best urgent care we’ve ever been to. The entire experience was pleasant even though I was sick. They were really quick to call me back, the nurse and doctor were so sweet, they made me not only feel comfortable, but loved! And that’s the best feeling especially for someone who doesn’t feel well. Test for strep throat came back quick. Everything was prompt. The facility is very clean.

It started out promising with their online call ahead system. Arrived when they suggested and submitted all my paperwork beforehand. Waited almost an hour in the general waiting room before being taken back to an exam room. Should have known something was up when there was a tv in the EXAM room. I’ve never seen that before. They clearly expect you to wait for long enough to need to watch TV. Waited another hour and decided to leave. So two hours of waiting and never seen by a doctor or NP. When I came out of the room and asked how to exit, the staff just pointed to the door. No apologies, no inquiries. I get that this is urgent care with no appointments but this is the worst I’ve experienced. I expect to wait but keep your patients informed. I asked for my copay back as I left, which they took BEFORE I was ever taken to an exam room. Will not recommend anyone visit this facility.

My sister visiting from out of town went for medical care on New Year’s Eve. She checked in, was told the wait was long, and went back an hour and a half later at specified time only to be told she couldn’t be seen. Apparently, the nurse came out and said, “ we are not seeing any patients after this one” and my sister happened to be below the line.Very poor business practice- we wasted an hour and a half when we could have been waiting at a different facility. If you make a patient an appointment, hold up your end of the bargain. There was still an hour and a half left until closing. We were not permitted to speak to the manager and the nurse and doctor were “treating patients”- one of them should have been my sister.Very poor practice to not uphold an appointment. Sounds like poor communication between front desk and doctors- we would have been better off being told there were no appointments available to begin with.I would highly recommend skipping this place if you for sure want to be seen.

No issues with the medical services provided, but this is really just a private practice disguised as a big chain that you would assume is within common networks. This establishment is NOT IN NETWORK FOR BCBS. They did not inform me at time services were rendered (ran my insurance like any other time and I paid my copay). Unfortunately their billing messed up on their claims so I didnt find out until after Ive already gone a few times...so now Im getting hit with old bills trickling in...

Wow! I can’t tell you how impressed I was with this place. First of all, we walked right in. The receptionist was lovely and totally on top of everything.The nurse (Tamika) was amazing. So kind and personable and great with my son. We were in and out and I can honestly say that was the simplest and most efficient medical appointment we have ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Go elsewhere. Billing is an absolute nightmare. Three members of my family went together. They used different provider companies and names and different codes to bill, causing issues. We all had the same tests run and there was literally only one doctor and one nurse. Their care is subpar to say it nicely. The doctor never introduced herself or asked my name before giving me a dignosis. The nurse never took a medical history and they were reasy to send me out with meds with knowing about any interactions

I am so impressed with this facility and the service they provide. Luckily I was the first appointment of the day, so I was in and out in 30 minutes. My nurse, Tameka, was friendly and kind. My doctor, Ana, took the time to listen to my concerns and educated me on what to look out for moving forward. Extremely impressed and will be considering them for primary care services!

**UPDATE**This practice is doing very shady and bad practices with its billing department. I see there are multiple reviews now stating patients’ billing issues. We also had issues with this appointment billing and when we first called, just a few weeks after the awful experience, we were told there was a mistake and they would fix it. Nothing was done, the urgent care visit was being billed incorrectly and was now suddenly “out of network”. After months of dealing with this, today we learned that AFC billed our insurance with an EXPIRED doctor’s code which is why it was coming up as out of network. For those of you that don’t know, it is ILLEGAL for practices in Virginia to not inform you that you are out of network prior to serving you. So we never bought that we were out of network when that was never mentioned. The visit was also being billed as a doctor’s visit, not an urgent care visit. They never even performed any tests on my husband at all. When the PA finally came into the room with little to no apology for forgetting about us, she just gave my husband a visual glance (didn’t even put her hands on him once) and wrote him a prescription for some eye drops and pills for his cough. I highly recommend people seek out any other urgent care at all before ever visiting this location.This urgent care has some serious issues. We have been here for 3 hours, one of which has been spent in the exam room where the nursing staff forgot about us. We opened the door to let them know we were here and they thought our room had been discharged. When the nurse asked the doctor if she could examine my husband, I heard the doctor specifically say “No, they can wait” in a very dismissive way and then she sat down at the computer paying us no attention while she took care of some prescription problem for another patient. I guess they pick and choose who is deserving of care.They also have an online system which we overheard the receptionist say doesn’t actually mean anything because if you join the waitlist online, when it tells you to come in, you still have to wait in person (saw a woman have to wait an additional two hours to the two hours she waited at home).This was a horrible experience. The staff seem overwhelmed, the doctor or PA seems to not give a crap about patients, and the wait times are so awful. I would not recommend this place at all.

I originally rated this place very highly due to the service provided at time of treatment. However, dealing with them for an error with insurance is an absolute nightmare. I asked upon arrival if they take my insurance and they assured me they did. Later, I received notice that they are not covered by my insurance: I called their main billing line and was told I had to speak with the location directly. I called the local office and was lucky to speak with someone who manages their contracts with insurance. She assured me they do have a contract with my insurance and she’d take care of everything. Another month later, I start getting bills from the urgent care that I shouldn’t have to pay (adjusted but still more than supposed to). I have called the local office several times and nobody will call me back. Their main billing department also promises to investigate but then they don’t call back either. Do yourself a favor and do not visit this place unless you have verified with your insurance that this location is covered. Otherwise you will get a lot of unnecessary stress and runaround. Just bad business practices plain and simple.

At first, it was an amazing experience. The people were nice and caring. HOWEVER, once I reached the exam room, I was waiting there for 2 HOURS. Nobody came in to update us or check-in. But that wasn’t the worse part, the NP was completely out of line. He pointed out my stretch marks and basically said I have a moon face (even though I told him I haven’t took steroids in over a year). I realize he’s a NP, but to keep commenting on someone’s weight and the way he talked about it like was completely awful..I left crying. Mind you I was simply there for a urine test sooo.

The nurse and provider were both excellent in caring for my sick child. He happens to be autistic which makes communicating and cooperating in new and strange environments (especially when feeling sick) challenging. They were patient, caring and understanding. They worked with him and were so kind. We didnt want long to see them and once he was seen, the provider worked quickly to write his summary, give us a school note and send his prescription to the pharmacy. It was an excellent experience!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I visited as a walk-in a few months back due to feeling ill for a few weeks. I had a brief conversation with the Dr who asked that I give blood for lab work. The medical assistant or nurse who came in to take my blood could not get the blood and seemed to have very little experience drawing blood. After a few attempts and bursting my blood vessel (which has never happened in my life) she asked me to come back at a later date to get the blood work done because she didnt feel she could do it. I left without ever getting blood drawn or having lab work done and no help for my medical issues and with a burst vein. I then get a bill for almost $400 for lab work that I never had done and even if I had, AFC did not even code it correctly with my insurance. Ive tried to call AFC to rectify but receive no answer. I wish I had never walked into this place.

Ive been to a few urgent cares in Burke and this one is by far the best experience. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Dr.Kennedy was amazing and actually listened and cared. Will recommend to everyone i know!

Great experience! The facility is very clean and organized, the staff was very friendly and the wait was minimal! The intake paperwork is done on your phone which makes it so easy! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, and that included a full strep test too.

My review is not based on my level of care but more so after. I came in to the Urgent Care back in October for an ear infection. I received a bill for my services. After realizing my secondary insurance was never taken, I called back in November to make the office aware and was told the billing agency (outsource) would reimburse my credit card use. Ive called for the last couple of months and still have not received my refund. I was told I would get a call back from management confirming this but havent heard. I continue to call looking for resolution on this but it clearly seems that no one is taking the urgent action here.

I had an excellent experience at AFC urgent care. My PA Donna and my specialist Dina were extremely knowledgeable, professional and caring. They were even able to see me on a busy New Year’s Eve.

Took my mom in for what we believed might be strep throat. Despite having an appointment we were told it would be a couple of hours. We went ahead and waited. The nurse ran strep,COVID and flu tests and strep came up positive. After another absurdly long wait the NP finally came in. She informed us my mom looked very sick and needed to go to the ER because of her age…she’s in her early 60s and in great health. The ER staff were flabbergasted that this urgent care made us waste nearly 3 hours only to send us to the ER, and the physicians and nurses all agreed the NP could have prescribed antibiotics and rest. The ER staff were very kind and took great care of my mom - despite all of us agreeing that going to the ER was overkill.

Ran over quick for a minor issue and was very happy with the services received. Tameka greeted me with what I assume was a smile under her mask and a great welcoming attitude. Tracy was the NP on staff and also excellent. Thorough but still got me out the door in a timely fashion. Will definitely be back!

I was so fortunate to see the same doctor as my 1st visit because the reason for my coming was a reoccurance of a sinus infection. I was very happy to see her again.

Check-in was efficient and wait was only about 5 minutes. Everyone was kind and friendly! The only reason it isn’t a five star review is because I do wish we could put masks behind us as all science points to the fact that they do more harm than good. It’s not healthy for me or anyone working there! Otherwise a wonderful crew here and they were so helpful.

I had such a smooth and awesome experience here! I woke up with a medical issue and frantically searched for an urgent care clinic. This clinic came up on my search and because it was open at 8:00 a.m., I rushed in. The checking in process was quick and easy and I was talking to a nurse within 15 minutes of my arrival. The NP who saw me had such great energy and was so kind. I really needed this as I was so frustrated about my issue. I received a quick diagnosis and I had my discharge instructions very quickly. I wasn’t even in the clinic for an hour. Overall, a great experience! I hope to not have to go again, but this will be my first choice if I ever need to see an urgent care provider.

We had a seamless visit from start to finish and everything was thoroughly explained throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend AFC to anyone looking for a well-organized professional and personable urgent care facility.

The medical care has been good but the billing is a nightmare. They billed the wrong insurance company and told me the claims were denied and I had to pay a bill. The billing department hung up on my insurance who helped me call to correct it and now rebilled as an out of network provider when the staff told me they were in network. It seems like the billing staff may have no training in medical billing and no desire to fix any errors.

I hate to be posting this, but maybe it will help someone.My first visit was decent. I went with my daughter for both of us. We both had a cough. I was on week one of a cough and my daughter (8 years old) was on week six or seven. She gave us cough syrup and called it a day. All good there.I went in a couple weeks later. My cough had gotten so bad that I was lucky to get 2 hours of sleep each night. They took an X-ray but the guy acted like it was his first time and couldn’t figure out the machine.She didn’t show me the X-ray but told me there was a lot of tissue and diagnosed me with bronchitis. All good there.A few weeks later I went back in because my daughter had suspected strep and my chest was hurting so badly to even breathe.They tested my daughter and the rapid test was negative but the doc sent for a culture because her throat looked really bad. She told me antibiotics were up to me so I said yes, let’s get it. Then, she said no, not a good idea. Ok, fine. For me, she said to ice and heat my chest. I’m on 2 weeks of this pain and now have to go to ER.My daughter had a high fever for 5 days and we finally got the antibiotics.To top it all off, I have been paying a copay. My insurance sent me a letter with what they paid and they told my insurance that I did not pay anything. They lied to my insurance, owe me over $100, and will not return my calls. I leave messages but no one calls back or answers.It’s looking like it’s going downhill with new PA… I hope they do better.

The absolute best experience. I took my 1 year old to 3 different doctors, none of them did the proper test to detect She has strep throat, after weeks of dealing with a fussy baby, I finally know exactly what my baby has and now have antibiotics to treat it. They got us in super fast and it was a super clean and welcoming place.

Be very careful here. They “accept your insurance” but then send you bills for hundreds of dollars afterward claiming they billed the wrong insurance. After claiming they would fix it, they don’t and keep billing you. Never going here again and would advise all to do the same. It’s been a nightmare. Will be reporting them.

Timeka was amazing. She was the nurse we met first. She made my 5 year old daughter feel at ease. Ana was the nurse practitioner who assessed my daughter and was so sweet kind and funny. The front desk women were welcoming and sweet. This was the best doctors office experience I’ve ever had !

This place is awesome. I had called the inova urgent care down the street and they had a 2+ hour wait. So we decided to take our chances here.The receptionists were kind and efficient, got us in right away. We were seeing the nurse and doctor within 15 mins. Got our meds and out! Definitely would recommend this urgent care office.

I went to the Inova - GoHealth Urgent Care off Rolling Road at first and was also told it would be a 2-hour wait. I went to AFC Urgent Care Burke instead and there was no wait at all and their team was wonderful! They quickly addressed my health concerns and were very kind, compassionate, and caring! I highly recommend this urgent care when you need it!

This was my first time in afc. The front desk was very helpful with me filling out information at a new place. There was almost no wait! I drove straight from work in Leesburg. Great, friendly staff which is UNHEARD of in the DMV area, especially in healthcare (and I’ve worked in healthcare for 20 years)! Tameka was an absolute gem, and really knows what she’s doing! Sidney at the front desk has exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills. Another nurse worked with us who was great also but I didn’t catch her name. Would definitely go there again!

Visiting AFC Urgent Care Burke was an absolute game-changer! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The clinic is clean, modern, and well-organized, creating a comforting atmosphere. The healthcare professionals were not only highly skilled but also took the time to listen to my concerns, making me feel genuinely cared for.

We visited AFC for the first time this morning. I was able to electronically add our name to the wait list, and I did most of the paperwork online. The staff was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. The facilities were clean and welcoming. We’ll be back when the need arises. Thanks AFC for terrific service!

Only highlights of this place I will give is the appearance of cleanliness. Otherwise, I really wasnt all too happy about coming here. Went here this morning, didnt like that there wasnt a kiosk for a self-checking-in; really wasnt happy that I had to broadcast what I wanted to get done and had to go into detail because the young lady at the front desk was not knowledgeable on what my illness was (which is concerning). Another addition as to why you should have a kiosk is so that people can scan their insurance cards. I had multiple cards (one for dental, one for vision, and the other for medical, but I didnt know where they were, but if you scan your card, they are all connected (so if you scan your dental card but you are at an urgent care, it will connect your medical insurance card automatically. Based on my experience, I wonder how many of these reviews are fake or if they give out gift cards or something for people to give them 5-star reviews. Way too many 5 stars, and that is too suspicious (not saying this place is horrible, but they arent good either.)

I showed up yesterday with a very sick 2 yr old. Before going I checked their website to make sure they were able to see pediatric patients as our Pediatrician was closed. This is what I found in their website“ What ages do you treat?We welcome patients of all ages.”To my surprise and dissapointment after trying to check in I was told they could not see patients under the age of 3.

From the minute I walked in the door I was greeted by friendly professional staff! The facility was clean and everyone was really professional. They took time to explain why my son could have gotten an ear infection.

As a requirement for my new job I was told that I needed to get a few clinical tests done at a walk in clinic before I was allowed to start working. The AFC on Old Keene Mill rd is a wonderful clinic and the staff there is extremely kind and very informative. They made sure to walk me through, step by step, each clinical exam that they intended to do. The medical staff was efficient and within no time I was ready to check out.

This Urgent Care is conveniently located, plenty of parking spaces. The staff was very polite and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised and didn’t have to wait long. The doctor answered all my questions. It was a a good first time experience.

Maybe we had an off experience, since this place has such great reviews. Husband had a high fever, they use the No-touch thermometer here that registered a normal temp and diagnosed him with a common cold. After several more days of fever, cough, body aches, went to another doctor. Their traditional thermometer at the second doctor registered his fever (matching our home device) and diagnosed him with a lung infection. Lots of lost work days and painful nights before getting the antibiotics he needed.

Our care was excellent but be careful around insurance coverage because they told my family they were in network with our insurance. Now, we are expected to pay a big bill because of their negligence. Totally unacceptable from my perspective. Beware of this unethical business practices.

Quick, easy, and efficient. The staff were pleasant and the doctor was caring and not rushed.

I came for a few stitches on my index finger after a work accident. The care I received was quick and of high quality. All of the staff was extremely nice and attentive. I am very glad I came here for care

Love this place! Customer service is top notch!My daughter was not feeling well and I needed to know what she had and it was getting pretty late in the day. I had tried minute clinic and a few other urgent cares and all these places were closing in the next 40 min. They would not take any more appts.I called AFC and they were kind enough to take my daughter in for a appt even though they already had their last appt for the day.I walked in really not knowing if the staff was going to be annoyed since I was coming in so late. WOW everyone was sooo nice and made my little one and myself feel welcome.From the front desk to the nurse and then the doctor- they were all the kindest, caring group of doctors I have met in a long time.Luckily I was able to get my daughter on antibiotics and can’t be happier that I found this gem.

We had a great experience here with both my husband and 5 year old son. The staff was very kind and the facility was very clean. We did not have a long wait at all and NP Anna was very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

If so, I give negative points! BTW I will not be going back to this clinic! I went in for a TB test last Saturday. Both nurses (a receptionist, and the nurse who did the test) told me to come back this Wednesday to get the results. I went to the clinic today and they said I should come back on Monday for a second one. When I told them that no one had told me I needed to do it a second time, they told me to pay $75 for the x-ray test. And said you can get the results right away. For the first time in my life I had an x-ray test done without a protective undershirt,but this is a new experience for me. Then I waited another 20 minutes and they told me again to get my results after 3:30pm ..... I feel so bad about todays experience

My son (whom is 9 yrs old) was very sick and needed to be seen. I found AFC Urgent Care online and reserved a time slot for him to be seen. The online booking was user friendly and efficient.When I arrived the receptionist was very efficient and sweet young gal. She had all my information that was completed online and I needed to sign 1 form and pay my co pay. Job well done my dear!The wait time was stellar (didn’t wait long at all), the place is clean and organized and the staff all are lovely. It’s very hard to find this in todays healthcare. Nurse Tameka (my apology if the name is spelled wrong) was phenomenal. She’s an amazing nurse with Superb bedside manners- very sweet, compassionate and truly cares. She listens and takes you seriously. She is amazing with peds patients. I love her! All nurses should be like Nurse Tameka! The health care provider Ana- NP. She also was phenomenal! Her bedside manners were fantastic! She diagnosed and treated my sons illness appropriately. I work in the healthcare field myself and this folks is the dream team here! I highly recommend for folks to come here for care.Keep up the great work ladies and thank you for taking such great care of my son and making him feel better. You are amazing!

Sydney, the receptionist, was especially helpful during our experience at urgent care. She was exceptionally kind, efficient, and made our visit easy. Nurse Tameka and the provider, Dr. Lee, were helpful, gentle, patient, and caring.

Nurse Tameka was the kindest nurse I have ever seen! She took care of me and made me feel comfortable! The NP was great as well and very thorough! Would recommend.
