Planned Parenthood - Burbank Health Center

I received detailed, careful, and unbiased attention during my visit to this center. Though the wait time was a bit hefty, the duration of my appointment was swift yet thoughtful. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and cared for, ladies. I will be returning to this location for any future needs!

Planned parent hood saved my life . They are very quick and on time with my appointment. Took care of my needs and concerns. Very professional servivedz I was very happy to see that they cared about my diagnoses 3 years ago and let them know I was recieving private care with mediction . I appreciate that they help me discover something about my health that changed my life forever.

My first time here and everyone was really nice from the beginning to the end. The wait is typical like any other doctor’s office; about an hour or so. I’ll definitely be back.

Love this location, been going for practically a decade. In recent years they’ve gotten really good about the wait time. I get there 10-15 min early and I’m taken back within 5 min of my appointment time. Great facility, knowledgeable doctors who actually want to help.

Very very rude staff . The lady at the front desk ( Gisele) had an attitude with me before I even approached the desk. She was very unwelcoming and kept trying to get me to leave and not be see. Seem like a very combative person and they hide their name tags so you can’t see their names . Thats the biggest red flag . Not to mention they are suppperrr slow . Everyone in the waiting area has been communicating because they’ve been here for hours . I would never again !

They are great for women who have not experienced sexual assault. However, if you feel scared, nervous and have a lot of anxiety around gynecology, I cannot recommend this plan parenthood. The front staff lack compassion. The doctors and nurse are great and do a good job. The issue is having a “tough skin” with the front desk. Once, you’re pass them it’s better. I recommend going to the Pasadena Plan Parenthood. They accept everyone with no judgment. LBGQT+ flags are present. It’s a safe place. Burbank is good if your poor, desperate, and just need whatever is going on taken care. The doctors and nurses will take care of you and do a good job. Just expect a zero rating for the front staff. For perimenopause women, age 35 and plus - Read “The New Menopause” but Mary Clair Haver, free on your local library app in book or audiobook. Blacks, Latinos, Native Americans and Non-Hispanic women enter perimenopause before Japanese women (see book). If you are 35 years or older: experiencing “itchiness down there” but your tests come up negative ask for vaginal estradiol cream (the biological identical not synthetic, note this is not a biological compound aka pellet. The reports on HRT (hormone replacement therapy) and MHT (menopause hormone therapy) from the Women’s Health Initiative have been dispelled - still I would demand Medi-Cal offer biological identical hormone treatment as the first form of hormone treatment over synthetic HRT to decrease clotting risks. If you have to file a grievance against Medi-Cal and your medical group citing it as a woman’s civil rights issue to have access to biological, non-synthetic HRT, do it. Most women will see 6 to 8 doctors seeking care for perimenopause symptoms and only 1/4 will get MHT treatment (see book). The rest are out of luck. They are most likely handed a antidepressant. Note compound biological means the hormones were not made in the US by a FDA approved lab, compound biologicals are **not** biological identical hormones which are approved by the FDA.

Do not waste your time going here, all they want is to get money out of people. I literally took a print out showing I had insurance until I get my card, even says at the top I could start receiving medical services with the paper but they refused it. Wanted to charge $225 bucks just for a office visit ontop of services. No care for people at all just money grabbers and. Very rude staff.

Amazing place!! Everybodys so nice and they make sure you feel comfortable, safe, heard, and seen. I feel so safe Everytime I come here, and Ive been coming here for around 3 years now. Super kind and sweet nurses and employees!The wait time is long, but its like a personal hospital, so of course itll take time. That shows how much they care about each and individual patient.I highly recommend this place

They must have way overbooked their appointments here. I made an appointment to get an STD test, and when I arrived it looked like a FEMA camp in the waiting room. A girl next to me had already been waiting over an hour. They finally called me to the window to tell me that I wouldn’t be seen today, unless I could wait up to 2 hours. They need to do better.

Great staff, great providers. Clean. Friendly. Helpful. Idk why so many bad reviews. A lot of people end up showing up late to their appointments and they see everyone so if you’re worried about timing just go to the 8 or 9am appointments instead of later in the day.

Its been over 2 years since Ive been here but getting my 1st pap here gave me the worst anxiety around pap smears and anything related to the cervical health. Just had 1 at Kaiser and I didnt realize they could be painless. This clinic had me genuinely believing that paps hurt and thats just how they are for me. Wrong.Additionally, appointment time means nothing here. I once had a scheduled appointment take hours before they even saw me, followed by a very long wait in the room, a brief check in, and then another lengthy wait. I was there for at least 4 hours.

So this is my go to place, for sti testing, and its really bad when it comes to being seen. Today I came in for a 10:35am appointment, again, an appointment and Ive seen at least 2 walk ins go in before me. Ive been sitting here for Over an hour, almost 2 hours now. I dont understand why make an appointment if walk ins are going to be seen before me. The staff is nice, I just wish theyd tend to clients on their actual appointment time or at least in the order that people arrived. I expected this location to be better since it is in Burbank. I feel like Im at a Van Buys location.

The worst planned parenthood I’ve been to. Service is garbage, they don’t give you any information regarding receiving your results. I was told I’d get my results through my lab. It’s been 2 weeks and I never received any results, so I called. Aqueelah answered the phone, was extremely rude to me, and said I would not get my results unless I go back into the facility and sign up for the portal. Go somewhere else. This place sucks.

So sad to see this location have less than 3 stars. Please do not let that deter you from visiting if you need care, in March 2022 I had a wonderful experience with the extremely friendly and caring staff. Make an appointment if you can to help make things easier for yourself and the staff. Know that there will be some waiting, this is normal for any health care center, especially one that takes walk ins. I was there for less than 2 hours though and I received amazing treatment. I felt welcomed, safe, and cared for. Thank you to the staff here for being so patient and helpful!

Struggled to find Parking since the lot was being resurfaced but still got there a few minutes early for my appointment. After standing in line for 10 minutes I gave them my details and then waited another 30+ minutes to be told it would take another 90 minutes or more before Id get to see anyone. I had to leave and get back to work. Not sure what the point of having appointments is if you have to wait 2 + hours to see anyone. Not happy that I ended up wasting an hour for nothing sitting in a room full of people during the highly infectious Omicron Covid variant . I support Planned Parenthood but wish they would organize the schedule better here.

In my experience coming to this location a handful of times over the last two years, be prepared to wait 30-90 minutes past your scheduled appointment time. It’s unrealistic for the large majority of people to take 2+ hours off from work. Plan accordingly so that your preventative care doesn’t suffer.

Everyone at this clinic was lovely. The wait is a little longer of course because of COVID, but my appointment was at 12 and I was home before 2, so not too bad at all. The staff were all super friendly, clear, and informative, and they seemed to have thorough COVID safety protocols in place for the staff and the patients (limited # of people in the waiting room, spaced out chairs, verbal screening before you enter, etc.). I felt well taken care of!

My friend Had an appointment and waited almost 2 hours after the appointment time to be seen. Trying to start the process to keep this baby and make sure it arrives healthy but they are making it very difficult… seems easier to just get rid of it if this is the first appointment and this is what She has to look forward to with them… horrible experience… if she is keeping this we need to figure out another doctor

Very helpful and all the employees were very nice, and made my visit easy.Of course during covid there are longer waits even with an appointment, and they said they were low on nurses as my own nurse came from another location.People should be more understanding of that and be patient, they are only here to help.

Be careful, and give yourself an extra 10 minutes to find the place, because google maps will direct you into the McDonalds parking lot, not the medical center. I had to check in, circle the block, and then drive very slowly to find the parking lot entrance, because there is practically no signage to find the place.The speaker on the door is very quiet, I had to put my ear right next to it before I could barely make out what reception was saying.

They are so kind and sweet, the staff makes me feel like im at home. Went in for birth control, very grateful they could accommodate my needs

The Nexplanon Implant got lost in my body. It was implanted far too deep into my arm. I returned to Planned Parenthood after taking the bandage off and not being able to feel it. After no staff could find it, all they could do was refer me to a hospital to get an X-Ray, and get it surgically removed. There was no promise that my insurance would be covered, and their only referral didn’t have appointments until two months out. I wouldn’t trust getting the implant at this facility.

Ive tried scheduling an appointment online multiple times and each time it didnt work. So Ive tried calling three times now and have been immediately put on hold and no one answers. Ive waited over 15 minutes each time. This is infuriating and a great way to lose new patients.

Very caring and kind staff. Appointment happened incredibly close to scheduled time, compared to Hollywood clinic where the wait is frequently much longer. Nurse was very helpful and supportive.

Took my mom here thinking there services was good since I have gone here and theres been no problem, but I dont know what the ladys were doing because she waited for 2hrs and she already had an appointment. It turned out that they were just talking and didnt even register her in. 😒 NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE AT ALL!

The manager that is in charge of the clinic is so rude and unprofessional and treats her employees bad I seen it with my own eyes while waiting for an appointment with my friend she needs to be fired

Very unprofessional. I will never use this Clinic again. I waited 3 months to see if i would feel better or see their point of view but the way they treated the patient was completely unacceptable.

Made an appointment and came in early. Wait time was still over an hour. Not sure what the point of an appointment was… Staff is a little rude.

I was very hesitant to come here since there are so many bad reviews, but I had such a great experience today. I was in & out in a very reasonable time.

All the staff were very good, excellent service and all very friendly. The wait time is very long and I had an appointment. I had to wait more than 2 hours after the agreed appointment.But otherwise everything is excellent 👌

I had to leave, the wait is more than 90 minutes, I didnt have time to spare, I attended by appointment and even then the time is too long, they should improve the waiting time. The attention of the staff is friendly.
