Hands down best gynecology office Ive ever been to! I felt so seen, heard, validated, valued, included, and welcomed! Though women in this office are truly angels on Earth, I have never felt this secure in a doctors office in my entire life. I highly recommend them, youre in the best hands by coming to this office 💗❤️💗
The best clinic to go to for your reproductive health needs! The entire staff is freaking amazing, the providers listen to all your needs and make you feel so comfortable and respected! Omarah is one of the best RNs Ive been seen by! Recommending this clinic to all my friends and family
I had a great experience with boulder valley health and would definitely recommend them. The staff was super nice. Erin, the doctor I saw both times I went in, was really attentive, thorough and caring.
I went in to get an IUD removed and reinserted which is not a fun procedure in the slightest. But the team today made me feel so safe and comfortable. I could not recommend them enough!! Darby was my provider and she was amazing!
I have never felt so listened to and cared for at a doctors office before coming here. I’ve been to multiple doctors for my issues throughout my life and today was the first time I actually received any real help. The receptionist, assistant, and doctor were all amazing. I also felt extremely safe here. Overall an amazing place.
Boulder Valley Health Center has been a blessing!! All the staff are super sweet and make you feel understand and comfortable. I highly recommend this clinic and services. Thank you so much
Everyone in the clinic is amazing. They are the most caring friendly staff I have came across in a long time. Thank You ❤️
Boulder Valley Women’s Health provides such great care. Every time I have come here for a routine check up all of the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. They are all very educated and know the answers to all your questions. I would definitely recommend going here if you need any particular help or just a regular screening. Ladies of BVWHC you’re amazing.
Highly recommend! I was able to get an appointment very quickly, which was great because my regular doctor couldnt see me for over a month. The staff was so friendly and professional. I love the cozy atmosphere at the clinic. I will be coming back for all my Gyn care!
I had a great vaccine experience with the nurse, Omarah. She was amazing!
I was treated with gentleness, care, and respect… i was made sure I was comfortable and felt safe. I wasn’t rushed nor shamed. I was given resources to help me cope through one of the most difficult decisions I’ve ever made in my life. I was genuinely listened to and felt valued as a human being. The staff were incredibly informed, walked me through the process, expectations, side effects, etc. I was given choices. Answered all of my questions. Literally held my hand through it all, and for that, I’m eternally grateful. They turned a dismal situation into one of warmth and healing. Thank you so so much from the bottom of my heart, I’m so grateful people in need can come to you and be welcomed with such grace.
I received kind, compassionate care and would recommend BVHC to my friends and family!
Everyone is always kind and they are great at what they do! I always recommend this clinic to everybody (:
I had a lovely experience and felt very safe and comfortable receiving care from this establishment.
Michelle was amazing and made what would normally be a very unpleasant doctors visit, a tolerable and (dare I say) a rather nice experience. Thank you for making me feel better about the entire ordeal and helping put my concerns at ease.
Could not recommend this clinic enough. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, walked me through the entire process and made me feel as comfortable as possible. 5 stars does not give this clinic enough justice! Thank you so much to the team here for such an amazing visit.
DO NOT GO HERE. GO TO PLANNED PARENTHOODI went there in November to replace my Nexplanon. Overall, I believe I had a good experience (minus the pretty intense discomfort, but thats not the doctors fault). However, the doctor I saw (who never gave me her name) made a comment about me being skinny which made me a bit uneasy, especially as I am a muscular person. She did do a great job of trying to make me feel comfortable as well but I was very nervous about the procedure so the comment stuck. I also have not received any response from their patient portal when I had questions about the implant being uncomfortable. I sent two messages, one a couple of weeks after my appointment and one in January. They did what I needed but I dont think I will come back.Edit to review: DO NOT go here unless absolutely necessary. After going to another practice for the same procedure I can say that the way I was treated here was ABSOLUTELY not the way I should have been. The doctor ignored my calls of pain and it left me so shaken. I was crying just talking about getting the procedure done again but when done by a caring and competent doctor, the procedure was so so easy.
My experience at this clinic was outstanding. All of the staff was very kind and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I was having issues with a recurring uti and they assured me they would do their best to figure out my problem. After my tests came back negative, they are following up by sending me for further tests with an urologist. Its nice to have somewhere follow through and not give up on your health.
Went a little while ago on a recommendation. The staff was super friendly and willing to sit down and answer all my questions to help me make an informed decision that worked for me. Even though they had a lot going on (like most health centers these days) it didnt feel that way during my appointment. I ended up getting a lot of great information from the provider and they were super helpful and flexible with what I needed. Would definitely go back :)
I have been coming to Boulder Valley Health since I was in my early teens. I have ALWAYS felt so safe, cared for and respected at every appointment. I live in Denver and still drive up to Boulder to come to this establishment. Thank you for always taking such good care of me!
What an amazing place that offers amazing services. Thank you to the employees who dedicate their efforts to helping women like myself. Ive had countless services here over the years. Extremely helpful for having my copper IUD reinserted yesterday after delivering a healthy baby girl last summer. If you ever have small donations and I will certainly do so in the future please contribute to this organization so that women in the area continue to have a choice over their family planning
Great, easy experience visiting the clinic today!
The practitioners are always accommodating and friendly. I feel comfortable presenting any health issue with them.
Went it to get some testing done as they offered next day appointments and was told the turn around was fairly quick about 5days to get results. I called two weeks later to ask for an update and they told me they had not received the results yet but I would get a call when they did. I was inpatient and decided to see if I could find information through one of the labs. I created an account for Labcorp and was able to see my results which had been reported the day after my appointment. Therefore it doesn’t make sense how two weeks later they still had not received the test results. Definitely a very frustrating waiting period I’m happy I was able to figure this out myself.
I was there around October to get the implant. Keep in mind that im super scared of blood and needles but they made this the best experience ever because I didn’t feel anything, the Dr was so gentle with me and she answered all the questions I had on how to take care of myself after. Also, Great customer service, was there almost 10 minutes late and they still took me in, made it be a fast and safe appointment. I will continue coming here. Thank you!
I went here for an IUD insertion and had the most amazing doctor, she never game me her name but she make the procedure quick and about as painless as it gets. I was extremely comfortable the entire time, everyone is super friendly!
This is by far my favorite clinic!!! 5 Stars
Consistently a great experience. It’s easy to make appointments and staff is helpful and friendly. I feel comfortable getting birth control here and check ups/other services
I was unable to see my regular Dr and therefore made an appt at BVWH. I have to be honest, I wasnt entirely clear on what services were offered. I just knew I needed medical attention sooner than later.I found the staff and the entire process of making an appointment, being seen, and following up to be efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. I think its important to call out this clinic offers various services and my guess is not many people take the time to post reviews because the majority of the services are controversial and of course any health care is private. However, I find it important to share the positives for those who are in need of medical attention. I was able to receive care and medication, and Dr H was amazing and spent a great deal of time talking with me and answering my questions. Im grateful to have had these medical resources available, especially when I didnt want to wait 4 weeks to see my regular practicioner, or head to an urgent care or something of that nature. Thank you for all you do!
Professional, caring and compassionate staff !I could always call the receptionist and got connected quickly for an appointment which was helpful. They all actually took the time to listen and care about what I was going through physically and emotionally . They did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. I felt cared for and knew my health and safety was at the top of their minds.I could not have asked for a better Doctor and Nurse Practitioners. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. My whole experience was positive for my surgical procedure on 18 Dec 2020 over here at their Boulder location.
I am extremely frustrated with the staff. I made an appointment for HRT got it scheduled, took off work, did everything I needed to do to get ready for my appointment. The day before my appointment they called to cancel my appointment saying the Dr is not taking new patients for HRT (which is understandable). I just wish the clinic had better communication and would of told me that before I scheduled it or at least called sooner to cancel it. Very poor planning and communication skills.
All around good feelings from my visit here. My provider was very patient answering questions/discussing options, not just around my appointment itself but future healthcare-related plans in general.Everyone I spoke with, from the young woman working at the front desk to the total of four people who did my intake/vitals/procedure (one woman was training) was really friendly and non-judgmental. Thats so so important in a setting where youre dealing with peoples vulnerabilities and personal history, and surprisingly hard to find in clinics. I never felt like I had to explain myself, which is rare.If you have a teenager who needs services, this would be the place to go. I WISH Id had this kind of healthcare environment available to me when I was in my teens. Also maybe Im imagining it, but I think the exam table was heated.
I have been coming here for the longest time, yet my biggest issue with them is their billingALERT ⚠️ They do the work without getting your approval and giving you an accurate estimate of the visit! Today I went in for a test of supposedly$36, however, I had to ask twice before they continued with the visit so they could tell me there was going to be an additional charge of 70 to be seen by the practitioner, which was supposedly required. People here need to have better and more OPEN communication!
Love all the girls here! Thank you all for being so supportive 💗 I appreciate you!
Worst experience I have ever have. This is the first time that I feel SO bad with a service that I NEED to leave a review. And the discomfort has been so repeatedly, the whole experience has been painful.First, I completely agree with everyone getting the feeling that the staff is completely rude. Being there, I got the feeling that I was the one being paid to be there.Second, on my first call they suggest to check my breasts on a second appointment, stating that the time wouldnt be enough to do it on the annual check up. For 5 years, my breasts have received extra attention, without need of a second appointment. After expressing my rejection to this idea, they agree to do everything in one appointment. Being there, I come out of the bathroom, after giving my urine sample and they tell me they are only checking my breasts and that they would need me to return for the annual check up. I was in shocked since they knew it was something I didnt want.I was also completely disappointed that after taking the time to do my research looking for a great doctor, I ended up being examined by a nurse practitioner.Time and money spent and I am exactly where I was right before I called them months ago. I couldnt even get my tests results transferred to my new doctor.
Terrible experience here. Do not recommend.Short Summary:1. Visited for a UTI. Confirmed via testing. Told Doctor that 5 days of antibiotics wasnt going to cut it for me. Was told, if I wasnt feeling better after 5 days, to give her a call.2. Doctor forgot to send the prescription. Waited over an hour at Target trying to call them. They dont answer their phones... so I had to drive 30 minutes back there to remind them to submit the prescription.3. Sure enough, 5 days later, I wasnt feeling better. Called to explain my situation and see if I could get more antibiotics. They told me no- Id have to set up another appointment. Waited 7 days feeling awful. Also got charged for another appointment ($170 the first time, $165 the second time).4. Second round of antibiotics, the doctor wanted to change it to a different kind. Was prescribed an antibiotic that I was allergic to. Thank GOD the pharmacist at Target caught it and saved me from this Doctors mistake.5. Doctor said she would get me a referral to a urologist. Ive called back 3 times for that referral- NOTHING.Absolute joke of an operation. Please dont waste your time here.
Clean place with incredibly friendly staff. The receptionist, as well as all the nurses and doctors, took great care of me. They made me feel safe and understood. They listened and allowed me to ask a lot of questions, and even stayed by my side until I felt comfortable enough to leave. Really grateful to have found a place like this!
I’ve been using BVWH services for at least a decade. In the past, I considered their clinic to be a fairly progressive institution seeing and treating a diverse range of individuals.Currently, the organization seems to be a bit of a mess and my last experience with them was ethically questionable. I would not recommend engaging with them for HRT. Among other more serious issues, their office staff called multiple times to cancel or reschedule appointments. Their current nurse practitioner dug up medical records from a misdiagnosis I had in 2017 to challenge my renewal of HRT, even though I’ve been on hormones for many years now (without issues). Instead of providing information and education, there was an approach to my care and well being that was based on judgment and gate keeping. Maybe the staff is overworked or maybe they are going through an institutional shift with a different philosophy of care.I am thankful that times have changed and now my GP is comfortable with prescribing my HRT when the wait to get in with a specialist is long.
Wonderful staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly and willing to listen to my needs.
This is easily the most compassionate doctors office ive been to. Every person I interact with throughout my visit is kind, warm, and caring. I so appreciate the staff as well as the incredibly clean, well put together office. Doctors are very upfront and communicative about all of your options and costs. I recommend all of my lady friends here.
Ive been coming to Boulder Valley Womens Health for at least 10 years. I feel very safe here. I find the staff always kind and friendly. The providers here always educate on health topics and are never judgmental. I highly recommend this place.
Ive had a great experience with these folks. When I moved back from the east bay I got a recommendation from a friend that they are a solid place for trans folks to get the care they need with respect. The docs Ive interacted with are clearly trans-educated, they honor my pronouns and are sensitive with language and also listen to my opinion and personal experiences in reference to figuring out the best health plan for me. I am really grateful to have a safe space to go to care for my body. I recommend supporting this space as they meet a really high need for dignified healthcare for trans folks in the area. Big thanks to all of the staff that work hard to show up for those of us that are in need of respectful and kind care. Thank you for making the world of medicine a little safer for the trans community! Much love.
I went in because I am pregnant and needed a referral. The woman who did my sonogram said that she is not a sonographer and told me I might be having twins but didnt know. I asked for a referral to be sent and after calling for 3 days straight still hasnt been sent. I wait the remaining of the week and call again they said they would rush it and then called me at closing to leave a voicemail saying that I didnt need one and could just schedule myself. I personally talked to the office and they ONLY take new patients upon referral. Its been almost 2 weeks, still no referral and not even a call back from my voicemail. Ive never had worse customer service.
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a medical clinic. I waited for an hour past my appointment time to be called into the back. Then, I laid on the examination table undressed for 45 minutes until I got up and got dressed and walked out to find someone. Everything was dark and empty and nobody around, they had basically closed while I laid in that room waiting for the doctor that wasnt even there before I got into the room. They just forgot to tell me that the doctor couldnt make my appointment and left me in that room waiting. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to only find out that I had been completely forgotten about. On top of that, when I made the appointment I asked for a specific type of appointment and was told they could help, turns out they could not and had to refer me to another clinic. So, I waited almost two hours in an uncomfortable situation only to be told something totally different than what I was told upon making the appointment. Hands down the worst experience at a clinic in all my life. I will never go back. I would drive hours to another clinic to avoid them.
Warning for seeking abortion services here:They do not answer the phone, I had to wait an hour for my appointment even though I was given no warning that that might be the case, and the scheduling is a nightmare.I went in for an ultrasound and the doctor told me my options and said I had time to decide if I wanted, and I could get in no problem when I decided. I called them back less than 2 hours later and they told me there were no appointments for the next month in which I could schedule my abortion, even though I just needed the pill. Its hard for me to get to Denver, which is the next closest place they suggested I try. Its horrible that they dont have slots for crisis appointments for abortions, how could they not be able to schedule something that is clearly so time sensitive.
After a lot of personal discomfort here, financially and physically, I felt i should leave a review. After making an appointment, I drove from Fort Collins to get an IUD removed thinking it was a cute womens clinic, hoping to get a more personalized experience. When I got there they told me that they did not accept this specific plan of insurance that they told me they accepted, Blue Cross Blue Shield. When it came to that, they said it would need to be one persons job to check insurance to make sure all insurances were valid. But they also said they had this issue before with BCBS so, i dont know, maybe ask in the future if youve had this specific issue before. Second, I got an STD check, my doctor said it would be $30, when i went to check out it was $48. And they said that if I came up negative, they wouldnt call me at all, because in that case they would be making too many calls. The total came out about $110 over what they told me it would be. I thought the overall experience was horrible. Not to mention my doctor told me an IUD removal wouldnt hurt at all, and after crying, she asked me if it hurt. I told her that I was just a little sensitive. She told me even at her age she doesnt like going in for pelvic exams. Did you forget that you just took an IUD out of me? It was a little ridiculous. Bad experience, wouldnt recommend to anyone.
Unfortunately their billing messed up how they filed a claim and I was left having to pay a massive lab bill that I shouldnt have had to. They also never answer their phones and are extremely hard to work with on the admin side of things. The nurse practitioner I met with was great, but Ill never go back because of how inconvenient all the other stuff was.
Wonderful nice staff will take the time to make you 100% comfortable and satisfied with the choices you make. And are very caring one of the best clinics I ever stepped into and will be going back very soon I would absolutely recommend any women to this great clean clinic with amazing staff members on board this was my experience with them I really enjoy everything about this clinic 100% And Im sure your experience would be wonderful too 100% GUARANTEEDSincerely Felicia M Martinez
DONT GO HERE FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION!!! The only reason this review is getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because my appointment with Heather was wonderful and she does a fantastic job at being a medical health professional. This clinic is getting a poor review due to their failure of informing their patients that their insurance may only work sometimes. I had an IUD replacement done with Iris, in which was a horrible, unwarming experience because of her, not the procedure. Additionally though, I had obviously already had this procedure done once and let me tell you, when Iris did it, it was not the same as the first time. Not only was I experiencing the worst pain of my life (which I experienced almost none this prior time) but it also took about 5 times longer than the prior time with my prior doctor. I had seen Heather prior to Iris to talk about wanting to have my IUD replaced. Like I said, that was a great experience and I felt good coming back here to get my IUD replaced. This appointment with Heather was covered by my Cigna insurance plan and I had no problems. When I went back and had my IUD replaced with Iris, the appointment was awful and then I received a $1115 bill. I called my insurance to inquire this confusion given the fact that the doctors office told me they accepted my insurance and I would be covered and I didnt have to pay a co pay or anything the day I went in. The insurance told me that Iris was out of network and thats why I wasnt being covered. HOW IN THE HELL ARE PATIENTS SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHICH RANDOM DOCTOR THEY SEE IS COVERED BY THEIR ALREADY ACCEPTED INSURANCE?!?!?! If a doctors office accepts an insurance plan, it should NOT matter which individual health professional they see. Especially when ITS NOT A CHOICE, you are RANDOMLY assigned to whoever is working that day! Overall, poor experience and poor team work amongst the office and their employees.
This place changed my life! I identify as a FTM Trans* person, and I started my hormone therapy at Boulder Valley Womens Health. The process was simple, the environment was affirming, and most of the information youll need to become a trans* patient is all laid out on a specific page on their website. I recommend this place to any trans* identified person seeking a positive and safe environment to either start or continue there transition experience. This isnt exclusively a womens health care center only... this place includes and affirms all aspects of reproductive health care for all people, and I highly recommend it!
Julia at the front desk was enormously rude and didnt consult with anyone there about her decisions. We were 10 minutes late - would have been less but we couldnt get in the parking lot b/c of construction - and she refused to see us. When we made the appointment we were not informed about their 10-minute late policy, the need to fill out extensive paper work, or the construction. We argued about whether we were 9 or 10 mins late. Now I know why. This is not the type of consideration I expected to receive at a WOMENS health care facility! We saw Annie, who was very nice and helpful. But still no appointment. Get rid of Julia or give her training. And make sure your appointment person tells us all the requirements.
I recently went to the Boulder Valley Women’s Health Center as a first time patient and everyone was so nice and welcoming! I felt very comfortable and would definitely recommend anyone to come here.
I came to Boulder Valley Women’s Health last Friday and I had the best experience here. Everyone was so sweet and caring! They all knew my concerns and that I was worried and they gave me all the information and support I needed. I appreciate everyone dearly!
If you are trans-masculine and looking for hormones, DO NOT go to the Physicians Assistant by the name of Lindsey! She will not take you seriously, will not work on getting you hormones, and will be condescending the whole time. She spends maybe 4 minutes max with you the whole time and will not tell you why she decides you are not worthy of receiving a renewal for hormones you are already on. Especially if you request something other than the traditional injection. Lindsey will make you wait weeks before even considering your case, and you will have to call numerous times and walk in as well before the other staff try and get her to do her job. Dr. Weinberg is good, the nurses and other staff are all nice and accommodating, but Lindsey is just neglectful and a gatekeeper.
Excellent. Im pretty doctor shy, and pretty shy of medical anything really. I finally have insurance that covers my special needs. Everyone here understood my needs, and was nice to me. I cant say Ive ever enjoyed a trip to the doctor (considering I avoided doctors for 15 years), but if I had to have a pleasant time at the doctor, this would be it. Thanks!
I’ve been coming here since i was 18 and have always had a great experience. the office is a clean safe place. never felt judged and always treated with compassion. thank you.
If you are trans masculine, steer clear. I am not the only review here to state this. Instead of working as an advocate, I found Dr Weinbergs bedside manner to be downright adversarial. She made me feel like it was a privilege for me to continue my hormone therapy. For the record, I have been on HRT since 2003 with all the hoops jumped through to establish the validity of my care so, I was always curious why the need to treat me as if I could lose access to my hormones. How is that helpful? Would you do that to anyone else on a different regimen?Bottom line, if you are looking for a doctor who will advocate for your care, treat you with respect and not act like theres something wrong with you, Im afraid youll have to go elsewhere.
Horrendous front desk staff. No effort to answer phone calls. They cut you off and extremely rude when talking, and evidently lazy. In emailing they give one word responses that are not helpful. To retrieve any paperwork or even schedule an appointment takes multiple calls. So much time and effort. Its a shame, because I do like the doctors here.
Angels! So thankful for their services, they have the ability to help low income people too you can ask them about their options. A comfortable setting with compassionate and professional care.
I’m not sure where else to go for my birth control pills....wish this place worked but it just doesn’t. The scheduleling is just weird to me. You can make an appointment for the next day but you can’t make an appointment for two days in advance but you can make an appointment for three weeks in advance. I should be able to make an appointment whenever I want to! I have to wait for the day before and schedule three weeks in advance. No walk ins or same day appointments available. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance once and they seriously cancelled a week before saying a provider won’t be in...what? That makes no sense. And if you call them and simple want to ask a medical question they do not have anyone who can answer, you must make an appointment. I could have sworn I was told I could call with questions. Next the birth control pills are expensive even with sliding scale. $100 for 3 weeks worth! Not worth it for me. And to pick up refills is ridiculous. You can’t just walk in, pay and grab the refills, no. You have to fill out a sheet, wait to be called. Then go into another room and pay there. Takes way too long and they can’t wven answer any questions! And you have to ring a bell and be buzzed into the clinic...why? And the staff aren’t super friendly either. And I swear the doctor just gave me birth control pills and didn’t even care. No exam, just measured height and weight. How did she even know I was healthy enough to take the pills. There has to be another place I can go. Would not recommend.
Cannot say enough nice things, was able to get me a same day appointment and every staff member was very kind. Drove here from Denver and would make the trip again.
Incredibly kind, compassionate care. So thankful.
This was the best healthcare experience I have ever had! I called for an appointment and they got me in the same day. I dont have insurance right now and their sliding scale was a life saver. I almost started crying I was so relieved when they told me the cost for my appointment. The staff was friendly and really listened to my needs and concerns. I am so thankful to have found this place!
I wouldnt even give them one star. They are impossible to get in touch with over the phone. I e-mailed numerous times to schedule an appointment because of how difficult it is to get them on the phone, and was consistently met with call us to schedule an appointment M-F. Ive tried reaching them for over two months now.
My sister went in for an ultrasound. She was never told she could look at the ultrasound, wasn’t even offered. I wasn’t allowed back in with her at first, which HIPPA, I understand. But the woman who said she would be her “advocate” was far from it. I asked her to tell the doctor my sister was experiencing extreme pain in her belly and shoulder. When they finally allowed me back, the woman, Angelica, never mentioned it to the doctor Lori. Turns out she had BV which caused an infection in her uterus. Not once did they mention the dangers or potential for infertility down the road due to BV infecting the uterus. The potential for pelvic inflammatory disease. Important stuff. When we told this to her other doctor her doctor was stunned. This place is seedy. The name Women’s Wellness and Health clinic is highly misleading. They are not there to advocate for the woman, they’re just interested in ending pregnancies and to hell with everything else. If I had not pushed for them to check her belly she would of walked out of there potentially with a life threatening or future fertility threatening disease. I’m disgusted. Don’t go here.
My experience was a breeze. I left feeling very happy and well taken care of! The staff there were all so incredibly friendly. I am very grateful for this place!
My wife sees Dr Weinberg here. The staff is always super friendly and Dr Weinberg is great. Shes very understanding of my wifes unique health situation and does her best to help how every she can. Very happy with the services weve received and will continue to come here as long as we can.
Ive been going to Womens Health for almost 10 years now and have always had an amazing experience. They really know their stuff and take the time to listen to your unique experiences. I chose to go here despite my insurance not covering it because of the high quality of care. I recommend this place to people all the time!
It’s not the same they use to be.My Dr. Kelly no longer there:( I feel safe with her. This new Dr. They provided me, she just things she stills in highschool.Girl in front desk was the nicest💕To all my trans girls DO NOT go there anymore it’s not worthy.I’m not coming back there ever.
You will have much better luck at Planned Parenthood. The staff here are incredibly unprofessional. Beyond that, the time it takes them to get you in for a procedure is three times longer than Planned Parenthood. They are also incredibly difficult to get records from. You’re better off somewhere else.
Good experience, great people! They really do a great job of making you feel welcome and are nonjudgmental
Dr. Hansen was recommended to me. She may have a lot of knowledge or skills. But she had very poor bedside manner, commenting negatively on how my internal organs looked after surgery, in a way that was insensitive to (a) the fact that I had been through a difficult procedure already and (b) with no regard to how her blunt, negative comment would affect me. I will choose another Dr. next time, since I will likely need to return due to my insurance.
I asked the time estimate on the phone when I had called to make an appointment just because I have a really tight schedule. Lady on the phone with me said get there early and Ill be in and out. I come in, wait over an hour and I ask how much longer it would take since someone who came in after me went in to be seen. Receptionist goes to check because the assistant in the back has not responded to the desk calls to the fact that a patient (me) was there. She comes back and says that they are behind. Excuse me how do you fall THAT behind and wouldnt it be common courtesy to let the next patient know that they are behind schedule? Completely ridiculous.
These people do a great job extending much needed services to a wide variety of patients across a socio-economic scale! Ive been coming for 7 years and have received nothinf but excellent service. Super grateful for the services they provide my community and happy to support them!
Literally a Life-Saver.Disclaimer: I am not writing this review from my own experience , but rather from a close friend who does not wish to be identified for reasons that will become obvious. So the state of Colorado, and really The US as a whole if we are honest, is kind of a pain about providing healthcare, especially to gender minorities. Insurance providers will often deny Hormone Replacement Therapy to individuals, and when requested they will flag those patients as being mentally ill which can disqualify you for tons of services you may need. Trans individuals in particular have gotten the worst end of our healthcare system, and face so many barriers to being themselves. In Colorado you need a therapists letter of recommendation to being HRT. Finding a willing professional is easier than ever before, which only means it is physically possible now. Its insanely difficult to do on a technical level and that is before you get into the extreme personal anguish one faces when they have to expose their innermost identity issues to a stranger, with the possible end result of that professional essentially denying them the ability to be themselves at the end. This kind of rejection leads to a staggering amount of suicide, and Trans individuals are estimated to be at about an 80% risk of this. This is Why I say Boulder Womens Health is a literal life saver.I Got the opportunity to meet with Griffyn who is the gender consulting therapist on staff and they made the referral process not only tolerable, but a genuine pleasure. Never have I felt more accepted, and emboldened to know my identity is real and I am a real person! The staff here was exceptionally accepting, and made the visit validating in every way possible. Moreover, they worked with us on payment. Most insurance wont support Gender Consults or HRT, as mentioned above, and the pricing they offered on a sliding scale was affordable, and the attitude and service with which the entire staff functioned was nothing short of exceptional. Our community is lucky to have such a caring resource, my only lament is that there arent more locations like this one in Colorado.
The nurses and everyone was amazing!! Great help🤍
My experience here was very nice. Everyone that I met along the way was very kind and knowledgeable. They took great care of me and helped me feel relaxed. The office is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend them.
I had such an uncomfortable and pressured experience here, DO NOT GO!!!! You are better off at planned parenthood. The nurse, Elton Iris was very distracted and was exploiting my unsolved disease for antibiotics, making this visit WWAAAAAYYY more expensive than I would have needed. Forcing me medications without even coming to a conclusion on my test results. SOO unprofessional, I felt like I was being used for money and it really sucked. 0/10 never going back.
The staff at BVWHC is amazing, I feel safe and heard by all the medical staff and I also feel like I can trust them and ask them anything. They know what they do and they take great care of each patient. Nobody silences anyone, and all the staff is very inclusive. I would recommend everybody (male, female, teens, older folks, trans, LGBTQI) to go to BVWHC.
Ive lived all over the world and this is one of the least helpful, least capable clinic experience Ive ever had. Not patient advocates. No capacity outside the most basic of services.
Honestly I am almost sure I have endometriosis as it runs in my family and the members that have it have told me my symptoms are exactly what theirs was.I wanted an ultrasound to check for signs of cysts. What I got was a rushed exam where I felt like she wouldnt even slow down for a second to listen to me instead of asking a bunch of yes or no questions. Then, even after attesting the doctor, I was given a script for PID and $198 bill for two cultures and a simple gynecological exam. Firstly, I do not have PID. Ive been with the same guy for 7 years. I was checked for STDs less than a year ago and so was he. She said it could be caused by bacteria.Secondly, I told them upon scheduling that I would need to know cost because Im paying out of pocket. They quoted me $57-$100 and she said she hardly ever sees it get up to 100. So when I was checking out I was pretty upset that the base exam was $76 and then I had to pay for cultures I was not made aware would cost extra that I didnt even want or NEED!Because she was wrong like I told her, two days later my pain is dulled (probably cuz Im not ovulating anymore, hence why I mentioned I wanted an ultrasound and I was ovulating) but not gone. Sure enough in another week when my period starts I will be on the floor crying in pain, $198 poorer and not any closer to diagnosing my problem.I had a follow up and my car broke down today. I asked for a referral to a closer doctor as Im 45 mins away without traffic. An advocate gave me a number for an abortion clinic. When I called back to tell her nobody picked up. I left a message an hour ago, still no call back.Do yourself a favor and find a facility that will listen to you and trust what youre saying to be the truth and treat you the way you should be treated. This place is not it.
This was the worst service Ive had in a long time and that is saying something for a doctors office. They called me less than 24 hours before my first appointment to tell me that I had to reschedule. When I went to my rescheduled appointment they were 45 minutes late and I was helped for 10 minutes. All I needed was blood work and they called me several days later to say that they had issues in their lab and couldnt complete the blood work. I asked for a refund on the office visit and they refused to refund me for an office visit that was only scheduled to get blood work.
Amazing experience. So happy you have found a place that cares so much about women.
What kind of OB doesnt have an ultrasound. Especially after the lady explained she has doesnt test right. Could have had it all pre setup. If we are pregnant. Will not be continuing care here. What kind of womens health center doesnt even have basic diagnostic tools!!!Update. They had the AUDACITY to call us today when they said they would yesterday about the lack of Ultrasound. Thought oh yeah this S@#$hole is going good finally.Nope called us to say call back next week to see IF not GET. BUT IF we can get an ultrasound.Calls to our lawyers and the state board of health today. FU
Literally everyone working here are so kind and caring, no matter what you need you will be treated with kindness and respect. Couldnt ask for a better experience. ❤️ I would definitely recommend to anyone!!
Excellent service and friendly staff!
When I was a teen I was fortunate to know about all the great resources that BVWHC had to offer. They provided a safe and confidential place to learn more about safe practices and how to protect myself. The services that this clinic provides are crucial, especially for those who are not fortunate to have health insurance. They provide high quality clinical services, and great outreach and education to all sector of the community. As a community educator, I was also fortunate to use them as a resource to refer all the youth I worked with when needed. Comprehensive Sex Ed is crucial. Thank you for supporting folks and providing folks with the tools to make educated decisions.
Worst costumer service ever! Ive been trying to get a hold of them to get my prescription for over a week and whenever i call I wait 10 mins until im first in line then they send me voicemail. And when I finally got someone to answer my call they told me that they’d call me back later that day so I waited all day and didn’t receive anything then I called them the next day and the same exact thing happened. This is the 4th day I’m trying to get a hold of them and no one is picking up. This is truly frustrating. Not worth it.
The team made it easy to make my appointment and be seen in a timely manner. Great experience from start to finish. Thank you!
I had a great visit with Iris a few days ago. She gave me multiple solutions for the women’s issue I was having and listened to all my concerns.
Amazing and compassionate staff !!
🌟 🌟 instead of 🌟 just for the honesty. They literally told me I dont know what you have. Hence they provided no service, but I had to pay anyway. She was a nurse, so I guess they have no doctor to ask to when they dont know :-/
I have never had a failed experience here and I have visited numerous times. Very impress d with all the staff. Least favorite thing is that it can be hard to get in without a pre-scheduled appointment.
Great services, friendly folks, and high quality treatments. It is more than a clinc. They take care of you as you were one of there family member!
Incredibly friendly staff that prioritizes making you comfortable. They are quick and efficient and the space is really clean.
Irresponsive for follow ups and hard to reach. They claimed that they called me for follow up, but I did not receive any calls or voice message.
Rude staff, did not feel welcome at all. I’ve been to the Longmont clinic and had a great experience. I’ll never be back here again.
Highly recommended! Love the resources available for women. Soft music, nice location, friendly staff. 🙌🏼
I make a 45 min drive to Boulder Valley Womens Health. Doctors who actually care for everyone.
I like The Womens Clinic. Its discrete and the ladies are all helpful and sweet. Ive always had a good experience here. Thank you.
We all know one star means, no stars. Nothing great to say so I wont say it at all. Im leaving this here to encourage Women (or any human) to seek another direction.
Came here to hear that I should go to Kaisser Permanente to address my hormone issue. Had to pay $30 for a 5 minute consultation to hear this. Not happy.
Feel so safe and taken care of here. Will never go anywhere else! Thank you all for your care and kindness.
Ive had very positive experiences here. I find that they are very thorough and professional, but also warm and friendly.
Super friendly have helpful staff. Was able to make an appointment with an issue.
Really enjoy the kindness of all of the staff members and the sliding scale payment helped me when I was new to town trying to get on my feet.
They dont pay any attention to your concerns and dont provide you with proper treatment or care.
Extremely rude front desk staff, unhelpful and mocked my age... find another facility to get good care.
Really poor experience for my wife. They lied about costs, forced tests she did not want, and did not listen to her opinions.
I love this place, i have one year going. They help a lot of young people. That is great!
I thought everyone was very professional and courteous and I would recommend this clinic.
This place is terrible. They are rude, disrespectful and uncaring. You will feel even worse than you did walking in. Steer clear.
I was in and out in a timely manner. It is a clean and organized facility with a kind staff!
Respectful and supportive staff that will work with you financially
Stay away.. Its the worst. Shove their views down your throat.
So many bad experiences Im finally switching clinics
More trustworthy and caring than hospital doctors
Nobody should ever go here!!!!
Loooooong wait.
Great experience.
Able to see me same day, great nurses
Hey are really good with helping you and making you feel comfortable.
The treatment at this clinic is incredible. They explain everything to you and help you with your needs. I have been a patient at this clinic for 4 years and I will definitely return. Priscila was very helpful. 10/10
