They helped me get transition care on informed consent when my own healthcare system refused to do so.

This place is horrible my girl went there and had birth control put in specifically the nexplanon and they put it way to deep that when we try to take it out they weren’t even able to so now she has to get surgery so for all girls out there I do not recommend you to go there at all

Always nice service and the women in here are non judgmental and always help.

Every time I visit PPH I always have a great experience! Depending on what you are coming here for, you might be here for awhile but it’s because they want to make sure you are in good health and understand your visit for the day. It’s never a dull moment with the assistants or the doctor, they make my visits welcoming each time!

I was scheduled for an implant, and they couldnt give it to me due to a scheduling error. we decide on the depo shot instead, and they give me a card saying to come back on sep. 17th for my nexplanon implant. i called today (8/25) to see when my appointment was, only to be told i didnt have one scheduled and that i was supposed to CALL on sep. 17th to schedule my implant, even though i was told otherwise by the clinician. they then tell me that there are no appointments available for an implant and that id have to call back another day to try again. absolutely horrible service

Waited three hours for them to tell me they were out of my birth control.

I went in for birth control. Im a transgender female non conforming skillet leaf. They did not give me tampons and called me maam my pronouns are mai/cok. Anyway my boyfriend bought me the tampons and plan b. Dont come here for a pregnancy test ladies they will be mean.

Very DISAPPOINTED!! Scheduled an apt online, only available date was a Saturday 2 weeks away and when the day came around they called to reschedule me which would be 4 days later. At my apt i was turned away because I didn’t have an insurance card even after telling them i was willing to pay out of pocket for my visit. They had me fill papers and wait back in line. Then said it had been 25 mins passed my apt time...Keep in mind i showed up early as well, the desk assistants were just busy “logging” in patients who didn’t have an apt (i over heard)

Great staff, went in for a PSlady at the desk was very nice and everything was quick, I had my appointment @12:00 went in @12:15/20I had a male nurse and he was very nice, the doctor as well... thank you planned parenthood! I think the lesson here even with bad reviews one has to try for themselves!’ If I give out good energy I’ll receive it back! ( for my own experience) thank you.

I always have such a good experience at Planned Parenthood they’ve done a lot of me in the past two years I’ve been going. They make me feel so comfortable and welcomed every time. I’ll forever be thankful for the staff and service!

Honestly the best place for transgender care in the city. clinica sierra vista is the only competition in town and theyre horrible. And kaiser permanente only takes kaiser insurance.Unlike the other alternative in town, they listen to your concerns, try to help you along the way and the wait for an appointment is much much shorter.Its also just so much easier to actually speak with your doctor in general. My endro at clinica sierra vista would be gone for days or longer, leaving me stuck if I needed a refill or prescription change or something. And dont even get me started on how the scheduling at planned parenthood is so much more flexible.

When they were at their old location the staff was much more attentive. I personally do not mind sitting in the waiting room for a long period of time because my boss doesnt mind my missing work too often. However, the waiting does verge on unacceptable, especially when you have made an appointment. The people on staff have never been rude to me, but only a few of them have been helpful.

Ive been going to PP at this location since 2013 when I started my first pack of birth control. Since then the staff has been polite and informative, visits have been generally quick for a busy medical facility, and Ive always gotten what I came for with options to choose from. Planned parenthood is a wonderful group, and this location serves them well.

I will always support Planned ParentHood. They have always taken care of my health. Wait times aren’t crazy long. Doctors and staff seem to care. They are discreet and informative. I always make sure to donate on my way out.

The new staff are nothing compared to the previous staff. They are judgemental and dismissive when you ask a question. This is not what Planned Parenthood stands for. I wont be receiving services from this specific location anymore.

I literally just called for my whos at another clinic that is out of stock of something she needed. I was treated very poorly by the receptionist. I will never recommend an woman Goin here for birth control services. I have never been treated more disrespectfully in my life for asking if they have something in stocks for birth control services. Go to FPA womens helth they have much better patient services and are willing to do everything in their power to make sure you receive the care you need!

Great experience! Didnt have my insurance card, they pulled up my info no problem. Wait was short. They gave me everything I need. Only thing they never called me back with my results. I had to call and ask. Although they did mention if they dont call, its a good sign ;)

When you call to make an appointment or reschedule youre on hold for almost 20 minutes. And to start with the service at the facility its HORRIBLE! The staff are very rude, and there was a day that my apt was at 1230, I wasnt seen until 3. People whos appointments were later than mine were getting in before me. So basically there is no point in making an appointment. I wish there was another pph in Bakersfield that I knew of because this one is absolutely terrible. I wouldnt recommend it but unfortunately, as far as I know, this one is all we got.

They kept moving me from room to room. I had a phone appointment before hand to “speed up the process” once I got here yet my appointment was at 5PM and it’s 7PM and I still haven’t been seen. I asked for an ETA and they just asked me if I want to reschedule after waiting for two hours.

They do NOT take walk-ins! Their website says they do, but they dont. I live an hour away and when I got here, they turned me away. Wouldnt even let me try to wait for the doctor to have free time. I was willing to sit here for 8 hours or however long it would take, they still made me leave. All I needed was birth control. Would have been a 10 minute office visit. Nope, still made me leave.

I went in to be seen to get put on Lon lasting birth control and the doctor that I seen she told me due to my high blood pressure they cant do anything for me. I know plenty of people with high blood pressure and are on various forms of birth control and, on top of that the stag was rude. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Usually they get you in and out pretty fast. They dont give you a hard time about what kind of insurance you have. You always get their complementary condoms at the end of every visit, which I think is what we all need.

Had an appointment at 11. Got there at 1045 to fill out paperwork. Didnt get called back till I went up and said something at 12. Was pleased when I got back there tho. 1 year of free birth control. Woot

I been going here for 18 years and they run thorough tests, give birth control , HIV as well as STD, STI. Well baby exams, and education. Planned Parenthood is a good place for your yearly checkup.

First visit , No complaints . Great place and very clean. Staff is awesome. My visit lasted about 1hr 30 min , overall it was an awesome experienced.

First time visit was yesterday and the staff was super nice and amazing !!! i will be returning back if needed. I highly recommend this place!

I have an std and they turned me away and said I could make an appointment in a month.Unfortunately, I won’t be able to make it in a month. They said “sorry, have a nice day.”

My first time here in this location and the people and doctors working there are wonderful and make you feel comfortable.

At least a 3 hour wait time with and appointment. Do not scheduled From 10:30-2pm unless you ant to wait while they take lunch

Terrible service been here over 1 hour they called other people who got here after me went to the receptionist ask how much longer and she said only2 more people they have called 5 people and Im still waiting
