AFC Urgent Care South Asheville

I suddenly became sick after Christmas and couldnt possibly get an appoint at the Veterans Administration on short notice for a possible bout with the flu. My wife had previously used them a couple of weeks earlier and was very happy with the care she received. It was very easy to schedule an appointment with Sara and she was great. I didnt have to wait more than 10 minutes and was in and out in less than 30 minutes total. I would highly recommend AFC Urgent Care South Asheville.

This is my second time going to urgent care at this location. It was fast and affordable, and a very pleasant experience despite the fact, I had a broken foot. If I could give these ladies six stars I would! All of the staff were super friendly and compassionate. My doctor Gretchen was amazing. She was very kind and explained everything in detail. Some doctors offices, feel cold and impersonal, but this experience was the exact opposite. It felt warm, cozy loving yet professional. I am so glad I did not wait to go to the doctor on Monday as my bone was fractured and they were able to give me a boot and crutches and a referral to the orthopedic office. Next time we are in need of urgent care we will definitely come back. Carolyn, the front desk lady was also super helpful and kind. Thanks team!

Prior to this experience I would rate AFC as 5 stars. It is the best clinic in town. Every doctor has been attentive, knowledgeable and patient, with an openness to holistic approaches! The Dr. that saw me yesterday was rushed, rude and distracted. She refused to give me a pelvic exam even though I told her I had felt some irregularities there. She told me that she had no time and asked me impatiently to just give me the name of the medication I had used in the past, so she could give me a prescription, which she could have looked up in my records She spent no time with me to investigate my extreme distress. I called her on her rude behavior compared to my excellent experiences in the past with all the other doctors. Her excuse was that she was leaving the clinic in a few days, and she felt she had to please everybody. I said firmly but politely, Then why dont you please me now? I am very concerned, I need a pelvic exam. She told me she had no time and handed my records to the receptionist and vanished. Furthermore, I had told her that Nystatin had worked very well for me and she prescribed something else. The receptionist corrected the error and was ultra helpful to compensate for her behavior. I dread going to the Dr. because of doctors like her that put you on an assembly line, with no humanity, compassion or kindness. She should not be allowed to practice medicine, because negligence like this could cost a patient their life!

Prior to visiting your clinic i was unaware of your existence. Sorry. 😐 I was very happily surprised. In the height of pneumonia, cold, flu, Covid season it was a very pleasant surprise to share the waiting room with just 1 other couple. Paoerwork and check in were quick. Staff were friendly. The MA was very pleasant and seemed to ask all the right questions. There was virtually no waiting time.The wonderful PA (?) we saw was terrific. She was smart, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and very thorough. She seemed genuinely concerned about how I was feeling. She gave us some options, suggestions and recommendations. She even offered us a letter for my work.I could not have been happier with the care and experience I received. The facility was clean, new, and seemed to have everything it needed without expensive frills. It was everything I needed and nothing I didnt. Easiest check in ever. Front desk was very kind and staff was quick, kind, and compassionate. It’s nice they have TVs in the room so my son could watch something but the wait was so short. The NP Gretchen was incredibly kind and explained in detail. My nurse Taylor was also wonderful. I will likely only go here from now on. The reviews are what got me there and they were spot on.

I was sick and needed to get testing done. I don’t have insurance so I asked about the cost and was told exactly what the visit would entail and was given the exact dollar amount. The Doctor was very nice which I appreciated. Got in and out quickly. Very nice staff. Clean and quiet.

The first place I went to said closed on Google in the middle of a week day but I saw lights on. I went in and they said they didn’t have a doctor so they were closed. AFC Urgent Care was across the street and I’d never heard of them. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful everyone was. They will be my first choice from now on.

We went in 30 minutes before closing for stitches. Thankfully, they stay open later and were able to see us rather than having to go to the ER. We were taken back right away, and the ladies were super friendly to both of us. The doctor was so patient and kind to my six year old while stitching him up. Great service for a not so fun experience.

Had my Great Granddaughter there... the visit was very short , they took us right back with a very little wait time, which was great because she wasnt feeling very well. The girl working in the front desk was very helpful. The PA was very thorough and professional!Thanks AFC

The full team here took great care of treating me quickly. Urgent care, to me, carried thoughts of long waits and primarily only good for injuries. AFC treated me when my primary doctor couldnt provide an appointment quickly, thoroughly and with kindness.

Absolutely the best urgent care experience I have ever had. I was avoiding seeking care while I knew the healthcare system was getting taxed by Hurricane Helene. My primary care was not able to open yet so I went here after calling ahead and I was so impressed with the short wait time, the kindness (and humor) of my nurse, and with the discussion with the nurse practitioner, Gretchen Meyer. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, caring, had a good sense of humor, and yet efficient. Thank you so much!

Had a swollen hand today. I was able to make an appointment and get in and out quickly.Sarah’s bedside manner was great. Was concerned with my case and everything else going on today.I would recommend AFC Urgent Care South Asheville any time.

The best place from start to finish. Went in and was helped immediately with a smile from the front desk. After I completed my paperwork only had to wait in the waiting room maybe 2 min. The nurse and Dr were phenomenal.

My experience at AFC was excellent! Very nice and caring staff, easy to talk to and very helpful and informative. Dr. Cobb is very nice! Worked with me since I was a self paying patient. Even for further help not at their location ... Im needing with ultrasounds...etc. helped me find a place that isnt out to break my wallet. I will be going to AFC from now on if needed!

Sinuses started feeling horrible a few days prior to going in. I thought It’d be hard to find an open place after the storm and limited fresh water. I took a chance and made an appointment on their website. That was so easy, was able to do all the paperwork online and check in! Walked in and gave them my name. Front desk person was polite and showed concern. Nurse and doctor were easy to talk with and also listened to my concerns. They submitted the scripts to my preferred pharmacy, received a text confirming this was done. So easy!! They have a client for life. I highly recommend them!

Everyone we had contact with was awesome. The nurse and doctor were both great with my son and very thorough. We were in and out quick with the answers we needed!

This place is the best when it comes to Urgent care. Starting with their checkin and registration process its so simple. The front desk staff is super friendly. The place is very clean and I like the TVs showing HGTV. The nursing staff is super polite and friendly. They make you feel comfortable and deal with any concerns. Lastly Gretchen who Ive seen 2x now on separate occasions is just the best. Shes kind, funny, and gets the job done. She fixed the infection on my finger and did a great job! I highly recommend this place!

Open on a Sunday. Staff are very friendly and the doctor very knowledgeable and she has a great sense of humor. Wish we had this where Im from.

I feel cared for by the doctors and helped by the office staff. It is better than seeing my primary care physician because you send in a prescription immediately. So far every medication that I had received was helpful to my condition. In my previous visit the doctor called me to see how I was doing. That really touched me. No one has ever done that before. It really made me feel cared for. I appreciate your wonderful services. Thank you for caring.

I wasnt treated as some random stranger taking up their time, but I felt welcomed as if family. Super easy experience and friendly staff. From the moment I walked in into I left it was roughly about 30-40mins and they were helpful the entire time. I’m traveling from abroad and had to use my internacional insurance and they were able to accept it and solve that with no issues. I highly recommend this Urgent Care.

Fast, everyone was wonderful! Especially provider Gretchen! Reminded me of my old school GPs office when it was physician owned and they still did procedures. Very clean, very efficient, could not be happier with experience! Plan to use as my go to urgent care!

Had a great experience. I am not from this area (live in Georgia). My husband and I were traveling and I ended up with a tooth infection from a bad root canal that I tried treating with home remedies for a few days. Since my dentist is in Georgia, and I was in need of some antibiotics before we return home (several days from now). They took me in right away and gave me a prescription for antibiotics. They entire staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great bed side manners. My only small complaint was that I was the only patient there when I arrived and I was still there for over an hour. I sat in the patient room for quite awhile considering there were no other patients being seen.

I’ve been to this office many times now, this is the best urgent care I’ve been to in the Asheville area. Amazing front desk, short wait times, friendly staff all around, and this location truly cares about their patients wellbeing.

Terrific service at the AFC location in Arden. Got in quick, no wait, and was diagnosed and prescribed meds for bronchitis within minutes. My NP, Gretchen Meyer, was so kind and patient, she faithfully listened and answered all my questions. Compassionate service goes a long way!

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff at AFC Urgent Care. If I ever need urgent care services again, AFC will be my first choice!

I arrived and filled out paper work since it was my first time there at 7:30 am is when they opened. Went back and the dr cleaned me up and took X-rays to make sure there was no debris in my cut. Then she stitched me up and I was on my my way and home by 9:00am. I taken a friend there before and got the same service with her. This place is the best.

From the check in process to the triage process to seeing the doctor was AMAZING! The check in process was very easy. When we got taken back the triage nurse Jesse was absolutely the best. Very professional. Dr Sara is the BEST. I WOULD HIGHLY recommend this urgent care. Thank you all.

Dr Gretchen and her assistant were excellent. I was feeling really lousy and they made sure to make feel welcome during my 1 hour visit. I was very impressed with the equipment on this center and the physical they did before I left to the pharmacy to get the medication. Thanks for such a job well done and will return if I ever need to do so.

The staff was friendly, efficient, kind. Dr. Carr was thorough, clear, and a lot of fun to chat with. I booked a time the night before and was in and out in 30min. I highly recommend these folks: they care, theyre organized, and theyre good at what they do. I would go there again without hesitation.

The only urgent care open on Labor Day at normal hours! My daughter wasn’t feeling well and the got us in and out pretty quick! They are super sweet and kind, also they are very good with kids!! Definitely a place I will return to if myself or my little family needs to be seen!!!

Will never go to another walkin clinic againEdited to say I ended up taking my kid here and once again I was very happy with the care. The doctors there are very quick to respond and helpful. Quick, professional, kind, and to the point. I was in and out and under an hour for under $200 uninsured granted they didnt have to run a lot of tests or anything so that could fluctuate but I thought it was very reasonably priced too. Especially going during the wake of Hurricane Helene

Hands down the best and quickest urgent care I’ve ever visited- and I am from out of town, just visiting for the weekend. I sprained my ankle and wanted to double check that it wasn’t something worse. I was seen quickly, no wait. Everyone was kind and helpful. The doc was great at explaining everything & the X-ray tech was too. Luckily it was just a bad sprain & the visit didn’t take too long at all. I’d recommend this location to anyone who needs urgent care services!

The front desk is very nice.Gretchen was very kind and caring.I had a follow up with Sara Cobb for my condition. She told me my condition was a fungal infection but I was waiting for her to do labs to confirm which she did not. On her notes she didn’t write anything about a fungal infection but just wrote ear pain…She prescribed a fungal over the counter medication but didn’t tell me it was over the counter and I can just go get it myself. I waited for Walgreens to get my prescription ready for 2 days for them to tell me it’s over the counter and they don’t have it in stock…

Taylor and Gretchen were so friendly and informative. Both were great with my six year old daughter. Front desk staff was warm and welcoming. Definitely would recommend for those urgent weekend visits!

I used this urgent care because it was closest and had better hours and EXCELLENT reviews. I was not disappointed!! They were so kind, and sincerely concerned about me having to wait too long, even though it wasn’t that long at all compared to other urgent care centers I’ve been to. The checkin was super easy and I was able to use my own phone to set up my information. It was quick and easy. The nurse and PA/NP were SO kind and listened and had genuine concern for me. They had me in and out within an hour. I felt heard and cared for. And the check in person was wonderful as well. As every patient left she told them she hoped they felt better soon and it was genuine as well. Such a wonderful caring staff! I will be coming back!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Even with impending bad weather, I did not feel rushed, and they made sure I was taken care of great experience!

I saw Dr Curtis and he was very nice and has a great bedside manner. All of the staff at AFC are friendly and helpful.

This is truly one of the worst experiences my wife and myself have ever had at an Urgent Care. We went for standard STD testing as responsible individuals and the staff were terse. The cost was astronomical for testing that is generally free. $289 for the testing for us both plus they stated that Quest may also bill us. Nothing was covered on insurance when on our insurance it has been covered under wellness and the staff were just unapologetically rude. DO NOT WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PLACE. There are enough competitors that will not charge. I am mad at myself for giving into the pressure and paying them.

Short wait time. Very Clean. Nurse Practicioner excellent, friendly and through exam, not rushed. Facility staff friendly and competent. NP did a follow-up call 3 days after my visit. I drove from Hendersonville to AFC South Asheville and I would do it again if the need arises. Best experience Ive had with an Urgent Care in the area. Thank you.

We brought our 3-year-old in for croup and had an excellent experience. We were seen very quickly and the PA, Sara, was so helpful and great with our daughter.

I went in with a wicked respiratory infection and the doctor was so amazing and the staff very friendly. They gave me a treatment in the office and prescriptions. One day later I feel 1000 times better. I like the doctor so much. I wish she could be my primary care.

I made an appointment but decided to go in early, I was surprised that they took me right in. I have taken our whole family here at some time or another since their opening and it has always been a quick and efficient experience. The staff is caring, patient and knowledgeable.I drive past several other options just to go for these reasons. Thank You for all you do!

Sundays are never fun at an urgent care. Not that this was fun, but the experience was positive, thorough and detailed. Was called in at my appointment time and the NP spent time with me to talk through concerns. No rushing, no BS. Straightforward. If I ever need urgent care again, AFC is where ill go.

I fell during Helene disaster in WNC. I had to go to urgent care as I couldnt stand on my rt foot. They got me in quick and found I had 2 fractures. Made me as mobile as possible. They really did a great job.

Stopped into AFC urgent care for the first time for help with acute bronchitis that I just couldnt kick. Care was excellent, efficient, caring and professional! Thank you!

Checked in online arrived 20 mins prior to appt. Staff was super friendly as always. But was brought back to room got vitals and then ended up being left in room for quite awhile. Realized Dr went into another patients room before mine even though I was next. Usually I’m in and out fairly quickly. Dr is always super nice and explanatory. Just had to wait a bit longer than usual due to the mixup.

Saw the awesome reviews here so took my 5 year old when she was complaining of severe stomach pain. Got a scan. The nurse practitioner “thought she saw a blockage but didn’t want to wait to get the scan read” and sent us to the ER for possible bowel obstruction. Went to the er because it sounded serious. They took one look at the scans and told me to give my daughter a glycerin suppository just incase but they see nothing. Just got my er bill for less than 1 hour being there and NO extra scans… $2000. The facility was nice and clean but dang… dont send a terrified mother to the ER unless you are sure. After paying out of pocket for urgent care assessment plus scans, then er… I’m out almost 3k for NOTHING. All because the NP was too impatient to wait on a scan read from an MD and used fear to make me take my daughter to mission.

The ladies who helped me were so sweet and kind! They made me feel comfortable and were very professional. I was in and out within an hour! Genuinely the best urgent care I have ever been to

I saw Curtis PA for myself to diagnose and treat a double ear infection . Followed by taking in my daughter 2hr later to get her RSV diagnosis & treatment ASAP. They were great about working with my pharmacy to get all the prescriptions we needed for all the equipment.

I had Pain on left side. I was a walk in . Receptionist was pleasant and showed me how to complete my paperwork. I turned it in and shortly afterwards I was called back. Can’t remember names but young nurse made me feel comfortable and asked questions she needed before Dr came in. Within seconds Dr. came in and examined me thoroughly, I had questions to asked but the Dr was so concerned about my pain, she asked me questions whereas I didn’t need to ask any. Very thorough. She not only recommended what she thought would help but also advised me to follow up with my Primary Care doctor. AWESOME!AFC is definitely a place to go when you’re needing some medical care.Yes I would recommend.

From the moment I was greeted by a friendly face at check in, through the exam process, it was by far the most pleasant visit Ive ever had at any Urgent Care. All the staff I interacted with were very friendly and compassionate but Gretchen was extraordinary. She listened, synpathisized, asked important questions then presented the course of treatment she recommended and explained why she prescribed the medication in the duration listed. I was in and out in less than an hour! I live 12 miles away from this Urgent Care but will absolutely come back here if I need assistance in the future!

It has always been a great experience when I have had to get urgent care here. It is quick and they are truly helpful.

This experience was interesting. We drove to this location, even though it was farther, because it has such great reviews. First of all, the doctor talked in circles and I didn’t get a definitive answer about what it could be. I left more anxious than when I walked into the office. Also, they tried to “upsell” me on my way out, after I had already paid for my visit. I was on vacation so my doctor was not a choice. Fortunately, I am home 3 days later and was able to see my doctor today who actually did something about my situation. So ultimately I ended up paying a ridiculous amount of my $ for them to do nothing for me. I would not visit this location again.

Was able to get a walk in apt extremely quick after my primary Dr didn’t have anything available. This is the second time I’ve seen Dr Meyer and she is always friendly and informative. Glad to have an urgent care in town that cares about their patients

I brought my son here for a spontaneous visit, and they were GREAT! During the day while out running errands he developed yellow goop and discomfort in his eye. I decided to run him to AFC Urgent Care, which was right in the area where I was doing all my shopping, so convenient! The staff was so friendly and helpful, we were in and out in 30 minutes! Just as suspected he had conjunctivitis but because they were so quick and get him in and didnt have to wait till the next day, his symptoms were treated and his eyes cleared right up! Thank you to Megan who was so sweet to my little boy and the office manager who was so quick to make sure we were seen promptly and had a wonderful experience!

Very great experience. Was in and out very quickly. Got the answers I needed. The nurse practitioner was very great and thorough and super kind when I was having some anxiety.

Greeting very nice. Preregister easy. Sara/Dr was quick and efficient and very kind. We discussed options and decided on plan. She even suggested ways to follow up if not better by weekend.

Very nice, clean friendly place to go. I had eye pain and the NP there and technician were helpful and gave me something to help. I didnt have to wait long to see someone there. I was able to follow up with my regular eye doctor the next day and it helped to have a diagnosis to start.

This will be a second review - same as the first -- had a great urgent care visit- Wonderfull staff was seen by John Carr - have utmost praise for his medical work !!!!

AUGUST 5, 2024I was expecting to receive the same care as my husband did the day before, but they didn’t give not even a Covid test, they follow the results from an expired Covid test that I did at home & I was sent home with no prescriptions or follow up.AUGUST 07,2024I would like to thank URGENT CARE AFC, especially TARA KNOX for calling me and giving me a thorough evaluation. It was great, quick, and very convenient. The entire staff was friendly and efficient - from check-in, lab, to diagnosis. I also got my prescription right there and then. It was my first going to an urgent care clinic and wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. Suzanne, the nurse practitioner, paid close attention to my concerns and addressed all of my questions. I highly recommend them for urgent care needs. They are open on weekends also which makes it really convenient. Thank you, Suzanne and to the entire staff!

I echo all the other comments that rave about AFC Urgent Care Arden NC! This is, by far, the best urgent care experience Ive ever had. I had developed an infection in my toe while we were traveling away from home which was getting worse despite my best self-care efforts. The pre-registration paperwork online made check-in very easy and quick. Dave, who took my vitals and history was outstanding; thorough & personable. Suzanne, my medical practitioner is amazing! She was gentle, caring, knowledgeable; I was perfectly at ease and confident with her diagnosis and treatment. We were here visiting our children and grandchildren, and I couldnt be more favorably impressed with the care I was given. I highly recommend this facility and staff.

We were absolutely thrilled with the care here at this urgent care yesterday June 4th. We were seen promptly without scheduling and The doctor (a military veteran, his first day working here) gave very compassionate, professional, competent & individualized attention! We have not seen ANY doctor In this entire area, from private practice, Hospital, Or urgent care who took the time to listen without rushing us and offering suggestions, testing and possible treatments for the issues and conditions with such patience & compassion. The doctor gave necessary information for follow up care. From the receptionist, Nurse, to this fantastic Dr, we were thoroughly impressed! You have a choice for your healthcare, We highly recommend AFC urgent care in Arden NC!

I had to go again for a completely unrelated incident. Wonderful service again. I think Ill continue going here instead of my primary care provider.

Took my husband to make sure his BP pills could get refilled, Dr was very friendly excellent bedside manner and they did labs in house made so much more convenient. I definitely recommend this urgent care. Very happy wife and patient

1st time visitor (new to the area/state). Front desk ladies were friendly and helpful. One definitely made sure that I was OK - it took a little longer to complete my forms due to how sick I was. I appreciated that.😊After turning in my paperwork, about 5 mins later, I was called to see the Dr.The medical assistants/nurses and Dr were ALL extremely nice, knowledgeable, and caring with excellent bedside manners. I truly felt like I was in good hands and would get the care that I needed.Well, Im on the mend and even received a follow-up care call 4 days later.Definitely recommend!

This urgent care is top notch! From myself, 34 year old female to my 3 year old son, we have received nothing but the best. Everyone is so compassionate, caring and truly takes time to listen to you and even considers the right test regarding insurance. The few times we have been, the wait time is very reasonable and nothing I have ever experienced at any other urgent care. Absolutely recommend this urgent care!

She carefully listened to my concerns and was very attentive in her care. She throughly explained my follow up care before I left. Excellent visit. Excellent professionals.

From the time I walked in the door to the time I walked out the staff was great and tentative! Don’t know names but the lady at the front desk made sure everyone was comfort from offering waters and mask! My nurse was friendly and very knowledgeable! The doctor on the other hand was fantastic! I was there for a DOT physical and she was very thorough!

Great people who work here! Loved the women I saw, she answered all my questions, gave me informative handouts, and was very considerate. The office even called me a few days after I saw them to see how I was feeling, which was wonderful! I have never had a doctor follow up so that was really nice. I wish I lived closer (was visiting family) as I would definitely love to go back here again!

There was a very short wait when I was there which was refreshing for an urgent care/walk-in clinic. The person at front desk and the nurse were both friendly. Dr Gretchen Meyer was kind, attentive, and took her time with me. Not once did I feel rushed in and out like one often does at an urgent care. I will definitely return here if I have a need in the future.

The staff was very thorough and assisted me quickly with the needed medical attention. I received excellent communication and feedback in the exam room and I was immediately put at ease. This will be my go to urgent care facility if another incident arises.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! The thought of going to urgent care on vacation is daunting and stressful. My husband took me to AFC urgent care for a terrible ear infection and every single staff member we encountered was welcoming, nurturing, and knowledgeable. They invested their time into diving deeper and helping to prevent future issues. The care I received was excellent!

Suspected my daughter had an ear infection. She gets very sick from them so it was important for me to get her seen quickly before she got worse. The urgent care got her in so quickly if I had gone to her pediatrician, we still would’ve been waiting just to get checked in by the time we were out the door, super efficient and the staff is so kind.

I chose this urgent care as it is the closest one to my house. While you are not able to book an appointment online, you can do your pre-appointment online. This creates your account and allows you to input in all your information, insurance information, etc. Once I arrived, it showed on my phone how many people were in line in front of me. The doctor that I saw (Dr. G Meyer) was the friendliest and kindest doctor I’ve ever met. I wish that she could be my primary doctor! My prescription was sent to the pharmacy and ready within 30 minutes of me leaving the office. I will be going to this urgent care from now on. Thank you for providing Arden with a great place for care.

I was bitten by a dog on the first. The staff at AFC took very good care of me. The pain was worse than I thought once it was being cleaned and I almost passed out, twice! No one rushed me to get over it or to hurry me a long. They genuinely wanted what was best for me. My hand is healing very nicely and I will always return to AFC if/when I need care in the future!

I am having some post-op concerns, it’s the weekend, and I needed to have a conversation with a medical professional and get a test done.  I wanted to try a different urgent care facility since my other recent appointments haven’t been great and the waits were horrible.  My experience today was my first time to AFC, and it was stellar from start to finish.  Mackenzie who answered the phone was incredibly sweet and informative both before and after my appointment. My wait time was less than five minutes. Taylor, the MA, exhibited a wisdom and compassion beyond her years.  She asked great questions, was efficient, and was full of kindness and compassion.  I saw Dr. Brian Parsell (sp?) who was incredible.  He listened to every concern I had as well as confirming with me that I needed to get a different medical concern checked out further.  He listened, gave his thoughts and advice, and could not have possibly treated me with more kindness.  Brian never acted like my questions and concerns were a nuisance or that I was wasting his time.  I’m 57 years old, and this was the best trip to an urgent care I have ever had.  When I have future concerns, I will not hesitate in the least to go see them or recommend them to others - and I hope their high standards and compassion will never fade.  - Suzanne

Such a blessing to come to a place where they are efficient and friendly. My son smashed his fingers and split the ends open. They cared for him quickly and were so very nice. We are beyond blessed to have had such a great encounter with a medical facility in 2024.

The staff is so nice here. My son went in with wrist pain. The nurse was very patient with him. The xray tech was very efficient. Doc was the best. She had us laughing and we felt very comfortable through out the whole visit. We were only there for a little over 1 hr. Fast and efficient. Really great place!

Absolutely incredible urgent care. I usually dread taking my kids to urgent care because I know we will be there for hours. That was not the case today. We were in and out in under an hour. The front desk lady was very kind and offered crayons and a color sheet to my kids while we waited. The doctor was very thorough and listened to our concerns. She was very personable and friendly. I will definitely be using this urgent care for future needs!

Staff was the absolute best. Called me after my online check in to let me know they couldnt take xrays last night. So I didnt have to come back for xrays. And even though Im still painful, I left feeling reassured about my recovery. I will always come back to to AFC Urgent Care in Arden for any urgent care needs. Woke up the day before with a sore throat. I had every question answered, and was in and out quickly.

First time getting stitches Gretchen and Kimberly walked me through the entire process, I didn’t feel like a number. They showed extreme passion for me and my injury. This place is it when it comes to urgent care in the greater Asheville area!!

Took dad due to potential pneumonia. Lady at check was attentive and eased the process. She also told nurse of breathing concerns and the nurse came out to waiting room to check his vitals to see if he needed to be taken back asap.Doctor was informative and friendly… great bedside manner!! Other nurse and CNA were both very attentive as well! Would highly recommend this urgent care location.

Best medical experience I’ve ever had! The facility was clean and all the staff was so kind and helpful! Went for my daughter and had to bring my toddler along as well and they were so helpful even with him during the visit! Highly recommend! They did amazing with the kiddos! It was a truly a great experience even though the reason for coming was not!

This place was wonderful. The staff was so courteous and attentive to my needs. They were so accommodating when they realized we were on vacation and made great suggestions to make it easier for travel.

My problem was diagnosed quickly and provided treatment for my ear problems. I have been to this urgent care office several times and the service and advice has always been excellent.

This is my second time visiting this urgent care and they continue to keep up the fabulous work. All the staff we interacted with were kind and patient. I went to this urgent care twice and it was two great experiences. I saw the same NP Susan, who was nothing but caring and willing to help. The second time I went back she recognized me immediately and remembered treating me. The wait was short both times. It was nice not to have to argue about what medications help, but to have a doctor listen and prescribe helpful medication was amazing!

This is the best urgent care I have ever been to. They are caring, thorough, yet quick. You feel very heard and taken care of. I was amazed at how well the whole appointment went. The building is clean and new. Lovely.

I received immediate notifications that my appointment was set and that my forms had been received. Check-in was easy. All the staff were friendly. The attending Nurse Practitioner was very compassionate and respectful. I would love to have her manage all my health issues.

Took my son in to be seen. He had a corneal abrasion and was very uncomfortable and in pain. They got him in quickly. The staff was very friendly, and Suzanne was so sweet and patient with my son. I have taken my children to be seen several times, and we have had a good experience every time.

Excellent care received. The staff, the nurse, the doctor were fabulous. Answered all our questions. Daughter went in with suspected UTI. She had a bad one. Doc prescribed antibiotics. We got there at 7:20 pm and they still saw us. We were out by 8pm. Much better urgent care than Pardee or fast med which we had used in the past. AFC urgent care is a great urgent care. Look no further. All staff were friendly and professional and it was very clean. Dr. Susanne was so kind and compassionate.

So impressed. We pre-registered online and didn’t have to wait long when we arrived. They examined my daughter quickly but carefully and were very nice and got us out the door fast with prescriptions. Would definitely go back.

This was a very easy and pleasant experience. Very different from the one I had a few months ago at Pardee urgent care, which was a nightmare. Everyone here was caring and knowledgeable. I just wish they had an x-ray tech so that I could’ve gotten a chest x-ray.

This place is amazing. I was sick for a week and had been to another urgent care. I knew something else was going on but didn’t know what. The staff was so patient and helpful. The medical team really took time to listen and understand my symptoms. Extremely thorough and patient. I would highly recommend!! . The front desk was friendly also.

Great care even shorthanded and a snowy weekend

Gretchen the PA was very friendly, concerned and thorough during my visit. She assured me my condition was not a serious thing but quite common. She reviewed the many different possible types of rash I could have and what it possibly stemmed from. Her recommendations for treatment were also discussed and gave me options. I would highly recommend her and the office. Was probably the best urgent care appointment I have experienced. 😊

The lady at the desk at AFC said they take walk-ins until their closing time. It’s nice to know you can be seen at short notice, as these things are rarely “planned.” Amazing!! This is my new urgent care.

Great place- everyone is so nice & the facility was clean and well appointed. My son needed IV fluids and they were able to get him set up easily- not all urgent cares do IV fluids, so I was very grateful!

Highly recommend! I was in the area for work and started having severe symptoms from an infection. The ladies at AFC Urgent Care took exceptional care of me and got me on the right track for recovery. They were not only knowledgeable, but went above and beyond to comfort me. I’m forever grateful for the care I received at this facility.

I am thrilled to have such excellent care within a mile from my house.  Made appt on line and filled out the paperwork in less than 5 minutes-also on line. Got up sick at 5 am. Made my appt for 9 am and was back home in less than 30 minutes waiting on my pharmacy to fill my prescription.  No line, no sitting around with other sick patients. Clean facility and professional and courteous staff. Lab work was back in minutes. Have already recommended this place to everyone.  Also, the PA actually listened to me and respected me. Top notch care!

The ladies running the front desk are pleasant, kind and very compassionate. This is huge to me…This made me more comfortable taking action and taking the next step in relieving the pain I felt.I walked in and it’s a very clean and tidy waiting room, the lady in the front was efficient, got my information and made the paperwork process no muss no fuss….and the best thing: she was so very sweet to me.I didn’t wait long, and I had the problem taken care of. I visited AFC Urgent Care because I can’t shake what I have. I was there a total of about 30 minutes from check in to exit. Diagnosis, scripts, and on my way. I highly recommend that you give them a try! Amazing and caring staff! Such a needed addition to our community!

My 3 year old son needed to be checked out but his ped was full today. We went to 2 other urgent cares before going to AFC; the first one closed early for NYE, the second had a 2+ hour wait for walk-ins. AFC got him back into a room within 15-20 minutes and we were seen immediately by the nurse. The doctor wasn’t far behind. They were both incredibly sweet, my son waved “bye doctors” as we left. It’s a little bit further than the urgent care we’ve gone to in the past but we will be going to AFC from now on. We had a great experience!

No wait at all if I had pre-registered online. Reception, nurse, and NP are all friendly. She explained to me why, what and how she will treat me. All the time gave me impression she is talking to a long time friend. Definitely will visit them again if I have too. Just hope not!

Our visit to the Arden location was phenomenal, I have never been to an urgent care facility where everyone from the front office to the back office staff were so pleasant. Registering online was easy, as soon as we walked in we were greeted. The front office staff welcomed us and smiled. The nurse, David Haberman was amazing and the nurse practitioner, Suzanne Wilkerson was amazing. I cannot say enough about the experience. If I could have them as our regular healthcare providers I would.

I was seen by Dr. Suzanne and she was so kind! After a few bad experiences with walk-ins, I was hesitant to try a new one. The staff were friendly and wanted to help beyond the one visit. Went with severe back pain they did X-ray and said nothing was wrong. The next day I went to my surgeon and found out I have a serious back problem which includes a torn vertebrae. AFC urgent care owe me an apology

I went in for a strep test and was seen, tested and treated promptly. I was in and out within an hour. The staff was friendly and welcoming, practiced informed consent and respected my decisions on the testing I wanted. The facility was clean and not overcrowded. I will definitely be using this location in the future.
