Planned Parenthood - Annapolis Health Center

Everyone I experienced, from the front desk staff to the providers, was pleasant, informed, helpful, and kind. I thoroughly appreciated my visit, and am grateful to be treated like a person in a medical setting— that is unfortunately not the standard with the state of healthcare in the US. I believe in Planned Parenthood and what they stand for so I am happy to receive my gyno services here. I loved how clean this location was too, I had to do a bit of driving to get a same day appointment but this location made it worth it. I also love not having to go to a pharmacy because the meds I needed were given at the end of my visit. 10/10.Edit for wait time: I was called less than 5 minutes after I completed all my documents at the front desk. I did spend about 2hrs in the clinic from start to finish for my visit which was a general/ quick fix concern, but I was given snacks and great care so I really didn’t mind.

No one confirmed with me why I was there for my appointment. I want the abortion pill and no one even gave me an option to choose if I want the pill or procedure & they just assumed I wanted the procedure. I didn’t really notice until AFTER talking with the people in education that I was receiving the procedure which I did not want! I was sitting waiting for a nurse in the room and had to ask a nurse, “am I not getting the pill today? Why am I getting the procedure??” then she said, if I want the pill I can get the pill. I was in the clinic for almost 3 hours! All because no one confirmed with me why I was actually there. I also had told the ladies in education that I wanted to do birth control and that the NP said she would give me a list of psychiatric outpatient centers because of my mental health issues and now i’m being told I have to make ANOTHER appointment for that. This was a terrible experience and I am not happy once so ever and will NOT being going back to this facility

These people really care about their patients and were amazing. Nick did a fantastic job at explaining my process to me and giving me all the information I needed to know (and their nails were absolutely fantastic). There was another person there that had rainbow colored hair and I wish I remembered her name but everything was a blur. She was very compassionate and helped me understand what meds they would give me for my procedure. Really great staff. The only thing I could complain about was the wait time. Was there from 10:45 until close to 5 on an empty stomach. But to be fair, alot of people were in there, and I was just hungry. The nice person with the rainbow hair gave me ginger ale and crackers for my nausea.

Alana was an angel, she made me feel so loved. Karen can insert a IV without any problems, top notch RN. Oh and the star of the show was the front desk lady named Ty! She was so busy yet treated everyone with respect and calmness. I was really impressed with the whole office!

Came in for a colposcopy with Dr. Moriarty after an abnormal pap and a nexplanon implant with Dr. Edmonds. Both doctors, the Medical Assistant, Ty, and the front office staff were extremely professional, kind, and patient, and made the procedures quick and easy! I had practically no wait, and they were able to take me early for my second procedure so I was finished 10 minutes before my second appointment was even supposed to start. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much to the women of Planned Parenthood Annapolis on West St. Today for me, has not been easy. Dr. Liz Yeboah was so gentle and sweet, and Ms. Tynnetta showed me so much support and kindness when I wasn’t being kind to myself. I’m so thankful for their help.

The lady at front desk was super friendly and nice as well as the lady Ty who helped me go over the process in the back. She was very informative and helpful with everything. I felt very comfortable during this process.

Before I scheduled my appointment here, I took a look at the reviews like i usually do. Saw a lot of people mostly complaining about the wait time, which I agree would be annoying if you had a scheduled appointment.But I made my appointment I believe 5 days in advance, cause my situation is very time sensitive. Obviously I was nervous, anxious, I really didnt want to go, but I had to. When I got there, the waiting room staff was incredibly welcoming and nice. I immediately lost that feeling of anxiety and didnt feel a lick of judgement from anybody, which I was also nervous about. I think I waited approximately 15-20 minutes before my appointment was officially started, and from there I was seen every 10 minutes, at least, whenever someone left the room. They were very professional, very nice, and made me feel very comfortable. Considering the reasons I was there, I am more than happy with my visit. You have to expect a wait time at any doctors office, thats just life. Some days Im sure are bussier than others, but overall I had an amazing experience!!

This was the best experience I’ve ever had at any gyno/clinic. Everyone is extremely nice and knowledgeable. Keisha my nurse was so so nice and patient! Any one I came in contact with was extremely warm and welcoming. They’re so thorough. Everything I needed/wanted to get done or asked about was done in one visit. And they follow up. This was my first experience with planned parenthood and I can’t stop telling all the women around me how great of an experience it was.

Ezra refused to leave the parking lot until she made sure I was safe and picked up. She’s another Gem that works here and thank you again for your kindness.

I received the best care the nurses really care ! Procedure was gentle barley felt a thing ! (Got a mild sedation ) Medical assistants and staff were amazing ! Would definitely recommend this location . Dr was very informative! Everyone was truly was god sent

I sat on a waitlist for months for my annual exam with no success getting an appointment. It seems like every obgyn is on a 2-7 month wait for any exam. Planned Parenthood not only saved the day by seeing me within a week of me reaching out, but also provided the best care I’ve ever received. I was treated with respect. They were thorough and did not rush my appointment. They made sure to address all concerns I had about my health. This is what women’s healthcare should be like. I am so grateful for PP.

Had an amazing experience here! All of the staff were super welcoming and kind. The women at the front desk were extremely friendly and took care of everything quickly.There was almost no wait time at all. The nurse practitioner who did my procedure was amazing! Made everything super laid back and relaxing. 10/10 experience :).

As a woman these type of check ups are not necessarily enjoyable yet I found myself leaving my appointment feeling so! From the moment I stepped up to the front desk to check in to the time I was saying bye to the girls at the front desk after my exam. Every member of staff was kind, knowledgeable, transparent, and professional! I had such a great time getting my annual check up and testing. I am grateful people under this company are truly in the business of helping others! Thank you ladies! You are making a positive impact in the healthcare world!

It’s been a long time since I’ve gone to a doctors appointment and it actually be a pleasant experience. The nurses who got me settled in the room were very sweet and made me laugh. They did a good job making me feel comfortable. Dr. Lauren was very informative, professional and super polite. She explained everything as it was being done. I left there with no questions unanswered. 10/10

I came here to get new birth control. I had planned to get an IUD, but after chatting with them about my options (they were so patient with me!) I went with arm implant instead. Everyone was so nice the whole way: the representative who took my appointment, the front desk staff, the nurse who took me through the options, and the NP who inserted my implant. I’m also so happy with how easy it was to get an appointment. My OBGYN wanted me to wait months. PP booked me for the day after I called! I would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone.

This location is AMAZING. My appointment time was 12:10, tonya at the desk was very polite and professional and got me checked in right away. The office was clean and everyone was social distancing. Mory called me to the room. She was very nice and answered all my questions professionally before scheduling my next appointment. The doctor came in and I was out by 12:45.

First of all the lobby is gorgeous like a fancy coffee shop or hotel. The receptionist very informative and patient. The assistant Ty is the best! Answered all of my questions even the silly ones.

** Don’t let the protestors steer you away from getting your services**There’s a lot of people against abortion services but the truth is women reserve the right to their bodies.I came here several months back for the abortion pill.Appointments are usually less than an hour. The process is simple, they have you take a pill in office and give you the rest to take home along with pills for dizziness and discomfort. They also provide a hotline to reach a doctor out of business hours.Simple and easy and if you have state insurance, the abortion pill is free.

Made my appointment the night before. Waiting time was max 15min. Which is expected in most offices. Customer service was great, once I was seen I was out in less than an hour from my appointment time.

I had a marvelous experience at this Planned Parenthood today. After a horrific meeting with my schools health center where they refused to refill my birth control prescription, I was able to make an appointment with Planned Parenthood right away and get the script that I needed. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. The only reason I didnt give five stars is because I had to wait an extra 45 minutes beyond my appointment time. Despite this, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely suggest this clinic to anyone.

I didn’t wanna go at first but it was right by my house so I went , the office was very clean and the help in the front was very attentive and nice …. However, the wait time to be seen is beyond ridiculous. My apt was at 11:30 I didn’t get called till 12:30 and I’m didn’t get in a room till 1pm. Nobody should have to wait that long to be seen . Besides that , it’s very professional. , the doctor btw was very nice … my only complaint was the wait

The initial experience was good! They were super polite and helpful. I scheduled an online session/appointment here. It was scheduled for 9:30, but I was not seen until 11:00. I was just waiting on the waiting room the whole time. What if I had other things to do that day that would have made it so I couldn’t have waited that long? There was no sense of punctuality. I had to call to make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong, and at first they told me I would have to reschedule (when it wasn’t my fault at all they never came to me) but then I told her to please check, and thank goodness I asked because she said it was just heavily delayed. But really? Waiting 1 1/2 hours?? It’s so unprofessional. Once they got to me the service was okay. Just glad I finally got what I needed.

I really dont know why this location has received such negative reviews, so I wanted to leave my own. All of the staff--front desk, assistants, providers--were kind, patient, and competent. The facility was clean, the appointment ran on time. I didnt wait forever in the waiting room or exam room. This is a perfectly comfortable and adequate place to go for womens health services. No need to hesitate or worry--youll feel welcome here.

I am paying out of pocket so it says that I will recieve an estimate one business day prior. I never received an estimate and Ive called several times because I have various questions. I never received a phone call back, or a confirmation text/email. I booked this appointment a week in advanced. This is too far to drive without confirmation.

I’ve been coming here for the last ten years, and usually my experience is fine. I’m disappointed in how things have turned around. I made an appointment online a month ago, and they said they didn’t have it for me. So I made an appointment in person at that time for a month later because that was the earliest availability. Get a confirmation call the day before- great, come in early for my appointment. And they tell me someone tried to call me earlier because they had a change in their scheduling. I have NO missed calls from today…. No I don’t want to reschedule… this is just unfortunate and I guess I’ll just go to my primary. Glad I drove 30 mins just to be turned away TWICE.

The women here were really nice to me ! Alli at the front desk was sweet! I wish i could remember the other woman who took me back. I can just remember she had long curly hair ! She offered me water twice super nice ! And then the nurse practitioner i think her name was Lauren (i hope) she was really sweet and cool ! Gave me good advice and didnt make me feel uncomfortable at all ! Thanks you guys !

First off, the waiting area is super cute (lots of space and seats too). The front desk ladies were so kind and welcoming! The planned parenthood nurses and docs were timely and professional and made me feel super comfortable. 10/10 recommend this place !!

Horrible experience. The front desk staff has an attitude. Ive waited over 2 hours for my appointment(which was supposed to be 11.40pm), I finally got IN my appointment at 2pm(Ive been there since 11.25pm waiting). Just over all horrible speed and the worst front desk service. They wont accept my insurance(BCBS) because I lost my insurance card but then I have a pic on my phone(front and back of the card). And they still wont accept it. No problems before at any other doctors office(with my no card situation)....only this one! And my appointment took around 6 hours...... very disappointed and do not recommend this place for anyone!

I made an appointment almost a month in advanced, since thats all they had available. When it came down to the day before the appointment they did not call me to verify/remind me. Thank goodness I remembered on my own, because Im sure they have cancellation/no show fees. My appointment was at 0930, I got there at 0905 because there is always paper work you have to fill out, and I do not like being late. I was taken to the back at around 1015. Thats when the nurse takes your weight and blood pressure, and basically asks why youre there. I came all the way out there from Largo just so I could get a refill on my prescription thats it, in order to get a refill you HAVE to talk to the NURSE PRACTITIONER....thats fine, I was going to be in the area so it worked out. I did not even see the NP until I decided to leave at 11. Not only did she NOT speak, but she seemed stand offish that I would be leaving before she saw me. YES, I left after TWO hours of not being seen, and NO I will NOT be going back to pp or any of their other locations.

I will never go back there as long as I live. I will pay full price at an actual doctors office before I ever step foot back in that place.My appointment was set for one time and I was not seen until 2 hours and forty minutes after my original appointment. NUMEROUS patients had gone to the receptionists and asked how long it was going to take and why they havent been told anything and they replied We only tell you how long the wait is when you ask. When I finally did get back to see the doctor, she was rushing me, barely asked me a single question and was less then willing to answer mine. The doctor then told me that my blood pressure was great, the thing was, my blood pressure had never been taken. Lastly, there was a mix up with the pricing, I had talked to the doctor about it and had it figured out. That was until I went to leave and they charged me am additional 20 dollars because Extra time was needed. The doctor barley spent 10 minutes with me (if that) and said maybe 10 words to me. It was very unorganized and it was getting late in the evening so it seemed the doctor, receptionists, and nurses were just rushing to get me out of there.

The staff are always extremely professional and aware and caring. The multiple times I’ve been there I have been really well taken care of and well informed. They have helped me through finding birth control to dealing with my ovarian cyst and giving me information on how to deal with it. I will always and forever support PP and especially this location. Thank you guys for everything you do.

This location is great. The office is modern and clean and all of the staff are amazing. They are friendly and do their best to make you feel comfortable. The only downside would be occasionally having to wait beyond your appointment time when they run behind. Overall I would definitely recommend this location!

Well this wouldve been my first time going to a Planned Parenthood and I promise you I will never go back... First and for most I WASNT greeted at the front desk with warm smiles (negative)and the fact that my appointment was at 1:00 pm I arrived 15min early , then was told that my appt would be pushed back 1/2 hour and never once did they call me before my appointment to tell me my schedule was being alters, instead they allowed me to come into the office to inform me of the situation.That wasnt fair not professional!! However I ask a couple of questions about prices and based on my income at a Planned Parenthood my bill wouldve been a ridiculously amount $500 or more after blood work and testing , seems to me when someone is paying out of pocket you would get a better discount. The receptionist ask if I wanted to reschedule I wanted to say absolutely no but I was polite and kindly said I will call you at a later time.People a smile will go further in the world you just never ever no!! With all thats going on in the world SMILE BE NICE😊

I have a friend who recently had an appointment here and while overall she had a very good experience, she was very concerned to see that one of the staff members in the lobby was not properly/safely wearing their mask. The mask was covering their chin, but not their upper mouth and nose. At a medical facility especially, it is really important that people are properly wearing masks during this time. Please address this with staff!

Great people work here, I had Ty and another lady (sorry I cant remember the name) they were both so nice and really made me feel comfortable

This was my first time visiting and I was impressed right from the start. The inside was clean and nicely decorated and the staff was all very nice and did a good job keeping me in the loop on any wait time changes. And my attending nurse was very nice and very helpful in explaining everything to me! Would definitely recommend!

This place is convenient. They also have special pricing for those that dont have health insurance. My only issue is that everytime I come he Ive wanted for hours. Im always waiting in the waiting room for at least an hour and then Im waiting in the exam room for at least an hour. Needed to say I wont be returning I found someone else that takes my time in consideration. Other than that its an okay place to go to for family planning service.

My experience was excellent the front desk staff was very nice and helpful, the wait wasn’t long at all. They were very patient with me with questions I had about the birth control and I got the one in the arm. The nurses were very nice and friendly !!!

Had a TVD appt yesterday with an NP named Megan Strojny! By far the nicest provider I have seen! She was very caring, non judgmental, and with some of my other medical history that she did not have to address, she happily asked how I was feeling and if I’m doing okay. 10/10 recommend her!

Terrible always waiting a hour even when I have a appointment I have a appointment at 4 wont get called back til 5 and I would arrive 15 mins early the nurses are rude so is the doctor no help at all cant even ask a question seems like the doctor wants get in and get out after your waiting for her for another hour atlease give me my time to talk and ask questions. Then the nurse made a smart comment about my daughter made her feel uncomfortable never will go back again

Nasty attitudes all around! I tried to open the door and I was made to wait but when a young lady came they opened the door right away for her.I was looked at as worthless and also felt very uncomfortable.The front desk personnel needs to be changed!!

I had an appointment set for 1/4/18 at 340 which they called and cancelled, weather was bad in the morning but was fine later. I get it. I went in today to 1/5/18 to get an IUD put in, which most women know is painful. I took my fiance with me so he could come back to support me. They then tell me hes not allowed back there because of a privacy act...I must be missing something in the act saying that I am no allowed to have someone back there that I ASKED MULTIPLE TIMES TO COME BACK. Then he talked to the rude, attitude filled front desk staff and asked why he wasnt allowed back there. He was then told well if you want to go back there she has to agree with the clinician. He asked who it was and she responded the clinician. No kidding, WHO IS IT?! I told the girl that took me back initially I wanted him with me and my nurse practitioner (who was fantastic btw).I had to get a biopsy and other stuff done at my gynecologist and they had ZERO issue with him being back there with me bc I WANTED HIM THERE. I have no issue with my fiance hearing about what Im about to have done.So now I have to come back Monday to have my procedure attempted again. Maybe the staff with clean up their attitudes between now and then.What an awful experience on top of all the pain!!

I got the paragard in last Saturday (3 days ago). I was scared about the procedure because reviews online are way to alarming. I got there and the staff was really friendly and efficient. I got my appointment for 11:10 and at 11:45 I was done. I had a consult first with a girl who asked me how I had decided about getting the iud. She listened well and explained all the pros and cons of the paragard. She was patient and answered my questions promptly and clearly. The nurse was extremely gentle during the procedure. She walked me through it and explain every step that she was doing. I experienced a painful 15/30 seconds but after that I was pretty much done. She was calm and understanding, giving me time to get myself together while explaining more information about the iud. I’m really glad I got the procedure done there, no complaints whatsoever.P.s. if you’re thinking about getting an iud, don’t let yourself get scared by the reviews online. I feel it depends a lot of your body. Also, the copper iud it’s by far the best option if you’re having issues with hormones.

To all the patients out there complaining about the waiting time: as long as teenagers lie and mislead and dont tell the whole truth when making an appointment, not much can be done to keep a tight schedule. No one more than PP staff wants to stay on schedule! But if three or four or five patients in a day have made appointments for birth control or STD testing when actually they are already pregnant but dont know that or wont say so on the phone. . .or they make an appt for birth control but they are found to have STDS. . .the scheduling is whacked for the whole day. it is unpredictable and almost entirely due to the patient population.Private OB/GYNS typically serve older, more mature women who know for sure when their last menstrual period was, arent afraid of having a pelvic exam, and tell the truth to health care providers when they make appointments. This goes a long way toward keeping to a schedule.

Initially kicked me out because of my service dog. When I told them Ive had her in the room with me at the dentist office while being operated on, that didnt seem to matter.As I was driving away, they called me back and said theyd see me immediately. An hour later I am STILL sitting in the waiting room. Other patients have gotten here after me and have been seen already.I just need a refill on my birth control.

Disgraceful, negligent office. went in for a routine check up, recieved ONE missed call from the office and called back within literally 6 minutes and could not get anyone on the phone. this continued for two weeks, i called back and could not get through to the direct office and kept getting the call center and was told each time i called that they would have someone from the office return my call. when i tried to contact the care taker i saw, through her voicemail, i still never received any calls back. every person i dealt with in the call center was rude and nasty. fast forward a few weeks, i go to a REAL doctors office to get the same check up and procedure done only to be given bad news and bad test results. thank god i decided to go elsewhere for care and re do everything i had done bc had my condition progressed further without any care or attention, it could have turned into a life threatening ordeal. i guess i shouldnt be surprised, you get what you pay for with a state facility. they dont care!! second rate health care, at best!

They lost my paperwork and wanted to charge me more:I came in to set up an appointment for birth control and that was all fine. A few weeks later I get seen, that was all fine. I signed some papers and am told that in a week to 2 weeks to come back in to pick up my prescription, they gave me a sample size of the bc in the meantime (ring). She said to just walk on in and I could pick it up.I had to leave the area 2 weeks later and when I got back got caught up with school and work but I was still on the sample so I was good. when i finally was able to get in, the woman behind the desk said they had no record of me being there. After some more clicking, she started calling out from across the entire office personal things from my file. I came over to her and said that was correct and she said she just had a file of data on me but no record of birth control.I told her about when it all was and how much I paid for the apt and she said my insurance should have covered it... i didnt have insurance at the time and paid out of pocket. ide never heard of the insurance company she said was under my file.she said there wasnt anything they could do for me but make another apt.I ALREADY PAID FOR ONE. I set up an appointment anyway for about an hour later and went and sat in my car looking at my bank stuff. i saw i wasnt going to be able to afford another appointment and so I just left.how do you lose all of that information?! where did it go?! it had my birthdate and ssn and address. wheres all that??! i want the birthcontrol i paid for!

Very professional and knowledgeable on birth control, also assist/provide/offer information with any other medical needs they provide. Cleanliness, I would give 10 ⭐ if possible, if you are shopping for a new doctor or need immediate non emergency care. I would strongly recommend this facility location.

Wow! This place is beyond distasteful. On May 1st my boyfriend and I moved in together and decided to get on birth control. I eventually went to get my depo shot and they informed me that my next appointment will be in three months which was already scheduled. So they will text me for a reminder. Its September... No text, no message, so i called them myself. They say I was a no show on April 7th. Ok, April 7th I wasnt even setting up appointments at Planned Parenthood. Secondly, my address in their system is my old address and not my current address that Ive used when I went there for the first time. They have no records of me coming in to get the Depo Shot. Every person I spoke to, even the MANAGER(guy) was so disrespectful. I told the manager my situation and he says, ok so what is your question? Wow. Just wow. If Im god forbid pregnant in suing. Period!

The office was very clean and decorated nicely. All of the staff was super kind, and the wait time for me was pretty quick got out in about an hour I was getting the nexplanon implant.

Planned Parenthood provided excellent care for me. They were easy to schedule an appointment with. All of the staff, both office and medical, were friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommended!

Ive been coming here for almost 5 years now. Theyre always super friendly, make me feel comfortable and always reassures me when I have questions. Will keep coming back for my health services here. Theyre awesome! 👍🏻

Front desk staff had an attitude which was uncalled for I called the day before to confirm my appt. then called back because I had questions smh then front desk said didnt you just call so they receive no stars but other the staff in the back were so delightful that Ill give them 3 stars.

Wait time is absolutely ridiculous. I am currently waiting to be seen by the actual doctor. When I arrived, they told me a 45 minute to an hour delay. My appointment was at 12 o’clock. It is now 2:00. Won’t be coming back.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. My appointment was over in less time than I expected and the technicians were patient and thorough in their evaluation. Definitely would recommend.

Every time I need to make an appointment, I am able to schedule one easily and for a date not long after I call. The staff is so friendly and helpful and I always leave feeling like they have done more than I could have possibly asked for.

Front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful to my underage friend. They made her feel bad about being there. They didn’t explain any of the process and overall just made the entire situation worse. I wish I could give negative stars and I wish they would answer their phone so I could give a verbal complaint.

The WORST place to go to ever. Waited over 2 hours for just a birth control consult, the clinician was very rude when I asked how much longer the wait would be so I had to leave the appointment without getting BC. Do NOT go here, whatever you do

I have been to this location twice in my life. Thank God for these wonderful people. Everyone is so kind and very understanding. Ive never had any issue with this location or any people working there.

Facility was absolutely beautiful, very clean bright and open. The front desk staff were kind and welcoming.

They have canceled my appointment twice, I think they make it unfair because one of them loses his job just because they feel like not receiving it.

I have been coming here a little over a year now. I come once every three months for my birth control (depo shot). Im always here for 2-3 hours waiting and waiting and waiting for a shot that takes literally 5 seconds to inject ! Ridiculous!!!!

Staff not professional as they should be (some) , people need a little more privacy other than what their getting because everyone knows your business while youre there. But other than that everything else is fine!

This office is SLOWWWW it takes almost 1-2 hours to be seen after your appointment time they need to do better

The woman who called me back to a room and was asking all the questions was very rude to me and not a pleasant person. Definitely makes me want to never go back there.

Medical assistants are efficient, accommodating, and service are way fast! Would recommend this location.

This clinic has the worst employees in all area. They are so unrespectful, I wont come back any more

I have visited the clinic several times and I really like the kindness with which both nurses and doctors have treated me at the reception, the place is very clean without a doubt, the waiting time has been at most 5 to 10 minutes. Thank you for the attention provided
